say_v as_o the_o pope_n in_o the_o same_o case_n as_o pilate_n when_o he_o crucify_v jesus_n and_o bishop_n b●nner_n whilst_o he_o make_v so_o many_o protestane_n martyr_n they_o may_v not_o wash_v their_o hand_n in_o the_o blood_n of_o heretic_n i_o reply_v neither_o in_o the_o blood_n of_o civil_a delinquent_n by_o the_o self_n same_o principle_n of_o they_o if_o they_o refer_v such_o judicature_n and_o execute_n of_o spiritual_a or_o civil_a offender_n unto_o layman_n to_o be_v their_o deputy_n within_o this_o principality_n of_o they_o i_o answer_v that_o this_o be_v but_o a_o actual_o assist_v at_o execution_n of_o the_o one_o as_o of_o the_o other_o but_o if_o any_o man_n shall_v expect_v my_o opinion_n of_o what_o these_o presbyterian_a clergyman_n may_v do_v upon_o the_o proffer_n of_o such_o a_o principality_n i_o confess_v the_o refusal_n thereof_o may_v seem_v a_o very_a great_a degree_n of_o evangelical_a perfection_n and_o the_o excessive_a care_n and_o travel_v which_o be_v require_v to_o govern_v it_o though_o by_o a_o substitute_n be_v altogether_o inconsistent_a with_o the_o ministry_n of_o the_o gospel_n but_o to_o interpret_v the_o pass_a sentence_n and_o execution_n of_o death_n by_o such_o deputy_n or_o their_o officer_n to_o be_v so_o entire_o the_o peculiar_a act_n of_o such_o deputy_n only_o as_o that_o the_o say_a presbyterian_a
