first_o be_v that_o it_o be_v the_o intention_n of_o both_o house_n to_o maintain_v the_o just_a liberty_n of_o the_o subject_a and_o not_o to_o diminish_v the_o just_a power_n of_o the_o king_n and_o therefore_o the_o expression_n of_o that_o intention_n in_o this_o petition_n can_v prejudice_v we_o to_o which_o i_o answer_v first_o that_o our_o intention_n be_v and_o be_v as_o we_o then_o profess_v and_o no_o man_n can_v assign_v any_o particular_a in_o which_o we_o have_v do_v to_o the_o contrary_a neither_o have_v we_o any_o way_n transgress_v in_o that_o kind_n in_o this_o by_o their_o lordship_n be_v that_o the_o king_n be_v sovereign_a that_o as_o he_o be_v sovereign_a he_o have_v power_n and_o that_o that_o sovereign_a power_n be_v to_o be_v leave_v for_o my_o part_n i_o will_v leave_v it_o so_o as_o not_o to_o mention_v it_o but_o if_o it_o shall_v be_v express_v to_o be_v leave_v in_o this_o petition_n as_o it_o be_v propose_v it_o must_v admit_v something_o to_o be_v leave_v in_o the_o king_n of_o what_o we_o pray_v or_o at_o least_o admit_v some_o sovergain_n power_n in_o his_o majesty_n in_o these_o privilege_n which_o we_o claim_v to_o be_v our_o right_n which_o will_v frustrate_v our_o petition_n and_o destroy_v our_o right_n as_o i_o have_v former_o show_v the_o three_o reason_n give_v from_o this_o addition_n be_v that_o in_o the_o statute_n of_o articuli_fw-la super_fw-la chartas_n there_o be_v a_o save_v of_o the_o seignory_n of_o the_o crown_n to_o which_o i_o give_v these_o answer_n that_o magna_fw-la charta_fw-la be_v confirm_v above_o thirty_o time_n and_o a_o general_a saving_n be_v in_o none_o of_o these_o act_n of_o confirmation_n but_o in_o this_o only_a and_o i_o see_v no_o cause_n we_o shall_v follow_v one_o right_n and_o seignory_n of_o the_o crown_n shall_v be_v save_v by_o which_o it_o appear_v that_o the_o save_n be_v not_o in_o the_o petition_n of_o the_o commons_o but_o add_v by_o the_o king_n for_o in_o the_o petition_n the_o king_n will_v be_v not_o express_v in_o that_o act_n the_o king_n do_v grant_v and_o depart_v with_o to_o his_o people_n divers_a right_n belong_v to_o his_o prerogative_n cause_n to_o add_v any_o word_n which_o may_v imply_v a_o save_v of_o that_o which_o concern_v not_o the_o matter_n in_o the_o petition_n the_o four_o reason_n give_v by_o their_o lordship_n be_v that_o by_o the_o mouth_n of_o our_o speaker_n we_o have_v this_o parliament_n declare_v that_o it_o be_v far_o from_o our_o intention_n to_o encroach_v upon_o his_o majesty_n prerogative_n and_o that_o therefore_o it_o can_v not_o prejudice_v we_o to_o mention_v the_o same_o resolution_n in_o a_o addition_n to_o this_o petition_n to_o which_o i_o answer_v that_o that_o declaration_n be_v a_o
