this_o business_n for_o we_o from_o who_o principle_n see_v they_o affirm_v it_o be_v not_o lawful_a for_o a_o man_n that_o be_v a_o christian_n to_o be_v a_o magistrate_n or_o to_o contend_v by_o war_n or_o by_o suit_n in_o law_n to_o swear_v or_o to_o administer_v a_o oath_n to_o any_o one_o it_o seem_v to_o follow_v that_o there_o be_v no_o need_n at_o all_o of_o humane_a law_n for_o take_v away_o but_o jurisdiction_n there_o will_v be_v no_o man_n to_o make_v law_n and_o take_v away_o the_o seat_n and_o court_n of_o justice_n there_o will_v be_v no_o man_n that_o will_v fear_v they_o what_o need_v sad_a complaint_n if_o the_o offence_n be_v not_o redress_v by_o punishment_n what_o will_v vain_a law_n profit_n without_o the_o execution_n of_o they_o the_o directive_n power_n of_o the_o law_n must_v of_o necessity_n fall_v unto_o the_o ground_n if_o the_o coactive_a power_n do_v not_o assist_v it_o the_o reason_n of_o this_o doubt_n be_v for_o the_o law_n of_o nature_n may_v suffice_v to_o leave_v the_o gentile_n inexcusable_a which_o dictate_v to_o they_o to_o eschew_v all_o sin_n and_o trespass_n to_o injure_v no_o man_n and_o the_o like_a but_o if_o that_o be_v defective_a the_o christian_n have_v at_o hand_n a_o more_o sublime_a and_o a_o more_o perfect_a law_n to_o wit_n the_o law_n of_o faith_n justice_n and_o charity_n make_v by_o our_o saviour_n jesus_n christ_n who_o st._n james_n acknowledge_v to_o be_v the_o only_a judge_n and_o lawgiver_n 12._o james_n 4._o 12._o this_o place_n in_o my_o judgement_n do_v near_o touch_v our_o innovatour_n who_o have_v derive_v and_o draw_v most_o of_o their_o opinion_n from_o the_o unclean_a well_n of_o the_o anabaptist_n whilst_o they_o collect_v from_o that_o place_n of_o the_o apostle_n that_o it_o be_v lawful_a for_o no_o man_n beside_o christ_n alone_o to_o make_v ecclesiastical_a law_n for_o it_o no_o way_n appear_v either_o by_o the_o force_n of_o the_o word_n or_o by_o the_o scope_n and_o order_n of_o the_o whole_a perioch_n that_o the_o apostle_n have_v speak_v more_o there_o of_o ecclesiastical_a law_n then_o of_o civil_a and_o unless_o they_o have_v rather_o deal_v unfaithfu_o and_o deceitfu_o with_o we_o than_o be_v rule_v by_o reason_n they_o must_v do_v one_o of_o these_o two_o thing_n which_o they_o please_v either_o turn_v absolute_a anabaptist_n and_o take_v away_o altogether_o from_o mankind_n all_o the_o power_n of_o make_v law_n or_o grant_v unto_o supreme_a magistrate_n as_o it_o be_v fit_a they_o shall_v the_o power_n of_o make_v ecclesiastical_a law_n iii_o but_o how_o these_o our_o brethren_n can_v disentangle_v themselves_o from_o the_o snare_n of_o the_o anabaptist_n it_o do_v not_o much_o concern_v we_o let_v they_o look_v unto_o it_o themselves_o we_o easy_o do_v answer_v that_o the_o law_n of_o nature_n be_v write_v in_o our_o heart_n and_o the_o law_n of_o christ_n be_v reveal_v in_o the_o gospel_n and_o that_o both_o of_o they_o in_o their_o kind_n be_v most_o perfect_a but_o so_o that_o for_o all_o that_o it_o be_v most_o manifest_a that_o the_o profit_n of_o humane_a law_n be_v very_o great_a and_o their_o use_n as_o necessary_a because_o those_o divine_a law_n do_v contain_v only_o general_a principle_n of_o thing_n to_o be_v do_v from_o which_o as_o conclusion_n from_o their_o principle_n more_o special_a rule_n be_v to_o be_v deduce_v accommodate_v to_o the_o right_a institution_n of_o public_a society_n &_o of_o the_o manner_n of_o single_a person_n neither_o be_v it_o any_o way_n to_o be_v fear_v that_o it_o may_v derogate_v at_o all_o from_o the_o perfection_n of_o the_o law_n of_o god_n for_o the_o maker_n of_o humane_a law_n do_v not_o go_v about_o to_o add_v any_o new_a stock_n to_o the_o most_o rich_a treasure_n of_o the_o divine_a law_n but_o they_o rather_o take_v from_o thence_o what_o they_o judge_v most_o profitable_a to_o themselves_o and_o to_o their_o people_n and_o the_o good_a of_o the_o commonwealth_n humane_a law_n therefore_o if_o they_o be_v just_a be_v nothing_o else_o but_o the_o relic_n of_o
