repel_v mercy_n as_o so_o exceed_o unworthy_a of_o it_o that_o they_o dare_v not_o apply_v the_o promise_n belike_o than_o if_o they_o be_v in_o themselves_o more_o worthy_a they_o then_o dare_v go_v to_o christ_n as_o if_o christ_n be_v not_o able_a alone_o without_o some_o worthiness_n or_o power_n of_o they_o to_o save_v and_o succour_v they_o unworthiness_n through_o a_o secret_a pride_n undiscerned_a by_o they_o whereby_o they_o still_o object_v their_o own_o unworthiness_n but_o that_o they_o must_v join_v something_o with_o christ_n in_o further_a the_o work_n of_o their_o salvation_n as_o such_o a_o conceit_n as_o this_o keep_v the_o proud_a papist_n for_o all_o his_o seem_a austerity_n and_o compunction_n from_o true_a sorrow_n for_o sin_n and_o from_o save_v repentance_n they_o like_o naaman_n in_o his_o fit_n of_o pride_n and_o scorn_n refuse_v their_o own_o help_n heal_v and_o salvation_n because_o they_o will_v not_o have_v it_o so_o easy_o without_o somewhat_o of_o their_o own_o so_o these_o though_o they_o have_v as_o much_o compunction_n as_o will_v and_o shall_v drive_v they_o to_o christ_n yet_o in_o a_o niceness_n because_o they_o be_v such_o great_a sinner_n so_o disable_v so_o unworthy_a they_o dare_v not_o be_v so_o bold_a and_o so_o couch_v and_o lie_v down_o under_o the_o burden_n of_o their_o sin_n conceit_v if_o their_o sin_n be_v less_o few_o or_o not_o so_o heinous_a they_o can_v better_o hope_v for_o mercy_n and_o may_v be_v bold_a to_o beg_v it_o or_o to_o cast_v themselves_o on_o it_o as_o if_o god_n ever_o accept_v any_o for_o any_o righteousness_n of_o their_o own_o whether_o simple_a or_o comparative_a because_o they_o be_v not_o so_o great_a sinner_n as_o some_o other_o or_o yet_o reject_v from_o mercy_n the_o great_a of_o sinner_n that_o in_o a_o sense_n of_o sin_n and_o of_o the_o burden_n thereof_o can_v or_o will_v come_v unto_o he_o true_a compunction_n then_o and_o contrition_n of_o heart_n must_v be_v ground_v on_o some_o hope_n general_a at_o least_o ourselves_o true_a compunction_n be_v ground_v on_o hope_n in_o god_n and_o not_o in_o ourselves_o if_o not_o special_a and_o
