of_o grace_n without_o break_v through_o these_o and_o hereupon_o come_v the_o necessity_n of_o violence_n from_o the_o opposition_n from_o within_o we_o we_o must_v offer_v violence_n to_o ourselves_o to_o our_o own_o reason_n to_o our_o own_o will_n and_o affection_n you_o have_v not_o yet_o resist_v unto_o blood_n 12.4_o say_v the_o apostle_n we_o do_v not_o resist_v by_o kill_v the_o attend_v on_o they_o they_o be_v not_o without_o slander_n and_o disgrace_n in_o the_o world_n god_n will_v have_v this_o violence_n therefore_o because_o there_o be_v opposition_n to_o the_o mean_n to_o the_o attendance_n on_o they_o to_o grace_v to_o every_o good_a action_n to_o every_o thing_n that_o be_v spiritual_o good_a enemy_n nay_o sometime_o god_n himself_o become_v a_o personate_a enemy_n in_o spiritual_a desertion_n he_o seem_v to_o forsake_v and_o leave_v we_o and_o not_o only_o to_o forsake_v we_o but_o to_o be_v a_o enemy_n to_o write_v bitter_a thing_n against_o we_o 13.26_o and_o that_o be_v a_o heavy_a temptation_n other_o again_o god_n will_v have_v this_o violence_n and_o strive_v as_o a_o character_n of_o difference_n to_o show_v who_o be_v be_v good_a news_n indeed_o to_o hear_v of_o freedom_n good_a news_n to_o the_o israelite_n to_o hear_v of_o freedom_n out_o of_o egypt_n and_o for_o the_o jew_n to_o hear_v of_o cyrus_n proclamation_n for_o their_o freedom_n out_o of_o babylon_n freedom_n out_o of_o bondage_n be_v a_o sweet_a message_n here_o we_o have_v such_o a_o message_n of_o spiritual_a freedom_n from_o other_o manner_n of_o enemy_n than_o those_o be_v the_o year_n of_o jubilee_n it_o be_v a_o comfortable_a year_n to_o servant_n that_o be_v keep_v in_o and_o be_v much_o vex_v with_o their_o bondage_n when_o the_o year_n of_o jubilee_n come_v they_o be_v all_o free_v therefore_o there_o be_v great_a expectation_n of_o the_o year_n of_o jubilee_n here_o we_o have_v a_o spiritual_a jubilee_n a_o manumission_n and_o freedom_n from_o the_o bondage_n we_o be_v in_o by_o nature_n the_o spirit_n of_o life_n in_o christ_n make_v we_o free_a from_o the_o law_n of_o sin_n and_o death_n there_o be_v life_n in_o christ_n christ._n opposite_a to_o death_n in_o we_o there_o be_v a_o spirit_n of_o life_n in_o christ_n and_o a_o law_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o life_n in_o christ_n opposite_a to_o the_o law_n of_o sin_n and_o of_o death_n in_o we_o so_o that_o this_o be_v our_o happiness_n while_o we_o live_v here_o oh_o it_o be_v the_o blessedness_n of_o man_n to_o make_v use_n of_o it_o while_o they_o have_v time_n and_o space_n and_o grace_n to_o repent_v and_o to_o cleave_v to_o christ_n that_o whatsoever_o ill_o we_o be_v under_o by_o nature_n we_o may_v have_v full_a supply_n in_o christ_n for_o all_o the_o breach_n that_o come_v by_o the_o first_o adam_n there_o come_v the_o wrath_n of_o god_n the_o corruption_n of_o our_o nature_n terror_n of_o conscience_n death_n and_o be_v without_o satisfaction_n to_o divine_a justice_n for_o why_o be_v we_o under_o sin_n god_n give_v we_o up_o to_o sin_n why_o be_v we_o under_o death_n god_n give_v we_o up_o to_o death_n why_o be_v we_o under_o satan_n government_n he_o be_v god_n executioner_n god_n sergeant_n he_o give_v we_o up_o to_o he_o here_o because_o we_o offend_v he_o why_o be_v we_o under_o damnation_n and_o wrath_n because_o god_n be_v offend_v all_o our_o slavery_n come_v original_o from_o god_n however_o it_o be_v sinful_a in_o regard_n of_o satan_n that_o keep_v we_o yet_o the_o power_n whereby_o he_o keep_v we_o be_v good_a for_o he_o do_v it_o from_o god_n his_o will_n be_v always_o naught_o but_o his_o power_n be_v always_o lawful_a therefore_o the_o power_n whereby_o the_o devil_n keep_v we_o of_o his_o mercy_n his_o attribute_n must_v have_v full_a content_n one_o must_v not_o be_v destroy_v to_o satisfy_v another_o he_o must_v so_o be_v merciful_a in_o free_v we_o as_o that_o content_a must_v be_v give_v to_o his_o justice_n that_o it_o complain_v not_o of_o any_o loss_n now_o reconciliation_n always_o suppose_v satisfaction_n it_o be_v found_v upon_o it_o and_o satisfaction_n for_o sin_n nature_n it_o must_v be_v in_o that_o nature_n that_o have_v sin_v now_o man_n of_o himself_o can_v not_o satisfy_v divine_a justice_n be_v a_o finite_a person_n therefore_o god_n the_o second_o person_n become_v man_n that_o in_o our_o nature_n he_o may_v satisfy_v god_n wrath_n for_o we_o and_o so_o free_v we_o by_o give_v payment_n to_o his_o divine_a justice_n the_o death_n of_o christ_n god-man_n be_v the_o price_n of_o our_o liberty_n and_o freedom_n but_o why_o do_v the_o apostle_n speak_v here_o of_o a_o law_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o life_n in_o christ_n which_o free_v we_o but_o here_o be_v no_o mention_n of_o satisfaction_n by_o death_n oh_o but_o death_n be_v the_o foundation_n of_o all_o as_o we_o shall_v see_v afterward_o to_o unfold_v the_o point_n therefore_o because_o it_o be_v a_o special_a point_n and_o the_o word_n need_v unfolding_a here_o it_o be_v say_v there_o be_v life_n in_o christ._n a_o spirit_n of_o life_n in_o christ._n and_o a_o law_n of_o a_o spirit_n of_o life_n in_o christ._n christ._n there_o be_v life_n in_o christ_n not_o only_o as_o god_n for_o so_o indeed_o he_o be_v life_n god_n god_n his_o life_n be_v himself_o for_o life_n be_v the_o be_v of_o a_o thing_n and_o the_o action_n and_o move_v and_o vigour_n and_o operation_n of_o a_o thing_n answerable_a to_o that_o be_v so_o the_o life_n of_o god_n be_v his_o be_v as_o i_o live_v say_v the_o lord_n that_o be_v as_o i_o be_o god_n i_o will_v not_o the_o death_n of_o a_o sinner_n now_o christ_n have_v life_n in_o he_o as_o god_n as_o the_o father_n have_v but_o that_o be_v not_o especial_o here_o mean_v mediator_n there_o be_v life_n in_o christ_n as_o god-man_n as_o mediator_n now_o this_o life_n be_v that_o life_n which_o be_v original_o from_o the_o godhead_n life_n for_o spirit_n be_v a_o emphatical_a word_n spirit_n add_v to_o a_o thing_n increase_v the_o thing_n again_o he_o say_v the_o law_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o life_n law_n be_v a_o command_a thing_n to_o show_v that_o the_o life_n in_o christ_n it_o be_v a_o command_a life_n it_o countermand_v all_o opposite_a life_n whatsoever_o of_o sin_n and_o death_n and_o this_o law_n be_v a_o countermand_n to_o all_o other_o law_n the_o law_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o life_n free_v we_o from_o all_o other_o law_n so_o here_o be_v life_n the_o spirit_n of_o life_n and_o the_o law_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o life_n all_o word_n of_o strong_a signification_n but_o for_o the_o clear_a understanding_n of_o this_o sweet_a and_o comfortable_a point_n first_o
death_n rest_n again_o it_o be_v in_o this_o respect_n a_o sleep_n rise_v because_o a_o man_n go_v to_o bed_v with_o assure_a hope_n of_o rise_v again_o and_o therefore_o he_o go_v quiet_o though_o it_o be_v a_o state_n of_o darkness_n for_o the_o time_n all_o the_o sense_n be_v bind_v up_o yet_o he_o know_v that_o in_o god_n ordinary_a providence_n he_o shall_v rise_v again_o therefore_o man_n
