fectles_a and_o without_o force_n they_o can_v speak_v of_o his_o goodness_n and_o not_o give_v he_o glory_n whereas_o the_o other_o be_v force_v by_o their_o feeling_n to_o glorify_v god_n because_o he_o be_v good_a his_o love_n in_o their_o heart_n constrain_a they_o as_o say_v the_o apostle_n 5.14_o 2._o cor._n 5.14_o this_o be_v the_o cause_n why_o the_o saint_n in_o god_n word_n have_v make_v so_o many_o song_n of_o praise_n and_o thanksgiving_n to_o god_n so_o sweet_a be_v the_o sense_n of_o his_o mercy_n and_o so_o deep_o be_v the_o insight_n they_o have_v of_o it_o towards_o themselves_o that_o they_o have_v provoke_v all_o the_o creature_n to_o praise_v he_o because_o he_o be_v good_a and_o his_o mercy_n endure_v for_o ever_o as_o though_o themselves_o alone_a be_v not_o sufficient_a to_o speak_v of_o the_o praise_n of_o his_o grace_n towards_o they_o yea_o the_o help_n of_o all_o creature_n be_v too_o too_o small_a in_o their_o judgement_n to_o make_v they_o worthy_o to_o render_v he_o the_o glory_n of_o his_o goodness_n to_o they_o alone_o &_o know_v that_o their_o tongue_n and_o lip_n be_v not_o able_a condign_o to_o thank_v he_o they_o have_v call_v on_o their_o soul_n and_o all_o that_o be_v within_o they_o to_o praise_v his_o holy_a name_n this_o serve_v for_o a_o trial_n to_o we_o to_o examine_v ourselves_o in_o what_o sort_n we_o possess_v the_o knowledge_n of_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n towards_o man_n in_o christ_n sure_o it_o be_v to_o be_v fear_v that_o there_o be_v small_a sense_n &_o lively_a feel_n of_o it_o within_o we_o when_o thankfulness_n do_v not_o outward_o abound_v in_o our_o speech_n and_o action_n and_o hereby_o may_v we_o just_o esteem_v this_o age_n although_o it_o abound_v in_o knowledge_n yet_o to_o have_v small_a feel_n of_o the_o thing_n know_v see_v the_o affection_n of_o man_n be_v so_o slender_o touch_v with_o the_o love_n of_o god_n and_o his_o goodness_n neither_o heart_n nor_o tongue_n be_v prepare_v to_o proclaim_v his_o praise_n the_o prophet_n say_v and_o so_o do_v the_o apostle_n i_o believe_v and_o therefore_o i_o speak_v 4.13_o 2._o cor._n 4.13_o sure_o where_o faith_n be_v there_o will_v be_v speech_n the_o apostle_n therefore_o write_v to_o the_o colossian_n bid_v they_o abound_v in_o faith_n with_o thanksgiving_n 2.7_o colos_n 2.7_o the_o same_o apostle_n willing_a to_o which_o we_o shall_v not_o give_v thanks_n to_o god_n for_o that_o be_v the_o nature_n of_o true_a grace_n true_o ingraff_v in_o the_o heart_n for_o all_o thing_n even_o for_o affliction_n to_o praise_v the_o lord_n let_v we_o look_v on_o the_o example_n of_o job_n when_o god_n do_v permit_v satan_n to_o spoil_v he_o of_o his_o substance_n 1.21_o job._n 1.21_o his_o speech_n be_v the_o lord_n have_v give_v and_o the_o lord_n have_v take_v it_o bless_a be_v the_o name_n of_o the_o lord_n behold_v he_o acknowledge_v that_o it_o be_v the_o lord_n that_o do_v give_v &_o it_o be_v the_o jesus_n christ_n our_o lord_n so_o much_o concern_v the_o manner_n of_o the_o apostle_n speak_v and_o propound_v this_o blessing_n now_o we_o come_v to_o the_o matter_n itself_o which_o we_o divide_v in_o three_o whereof_o the_o first_o concern_v the_o blessing_n of_o god_n bestow_v upon_o us._n in_o declare_v of_o this_o blessing_n we_o have_v these_o point_n set_v down_o by_o the_o apostle_n in_o order_n 1._o the_o author_n and_o giver_n of_o it_o to_o wit_v the_o god_n and_o father_n of_o our_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n 2._o the_o cause_n move_v he_o to_o call_v we_o to_o so_o excellent_a the_o beget_n of_o we_o again_o 4._o the_o blessing_n itself_o to_o wit_n a_o live_a hope_n or_o the_o hope_n of_o life_n 5._o and_o last_o the_o ground_n and_o foundation_n of_o this_o hope_n to_o wit_n the_o resurrection_n of_o christ_n from_o the_o dead_a now_o concern_v the_o first_o it_o be_v the_o father_n who_o be_v the_o author_n of_o this_o blessing_n as_o he_o be_v the_o god_n &_o
