be_v effectual_a to_o the_o convert_n of_o soul_n but_o that_o which_o be_v minister_v by_o or_o from_o the_o spirit_n for_o the_o read_n of_o old_a homily_n which_o serve_v in_o our_o predecessor_n day_n will_v not_o serve_v now_o or_o if_o we_o shall_v speak_v some_o hebrew_n or_o greek_a or_o latin_a in_o a_o unknown_a tongue_n they_o will_v conclude_v that_o be_v rather_o the_o wisdom_n of_o the_o flesh_n and_o from_o natural_a wit_n rather_o than_o from_o the_o spirit_n and_o therefore_o it_o be_v not_o much_o amiss_o if_o we_o conclude_v to_o let_v some_o of_o the_o ancient_a father_n pass_v and_o not_o mention_v they_o because_o it_o be_v hold_v general_o that_o they_o live_v in_o a_o apostatise_a time_n and_o so_o it_o will_v not_o be_v effectual_a in_o the_o audience_n of_o people_n and_o so_o for_o austin_n and_o cyprin_n jerom_n and_o ●ead_n origen_n and_o damasen_n their_o traffic_n will_v hardly_o go_v off_o for_o they_o will_v conclude_v it_o be_v rather_o by_o art_n and_o study_v that_o we_o preach_v then_o by_o the_o spirit_n and_o so_o we_o be_v fall_v into_o such_o a_o dangerous_a time_n as_o this_o be_v now_o in_o the_o break_n of_o day_n when_o man_n begin_v to_o be_v quick-sighted_a and_o will_v not_o only_o espy_v hill_n but_o also_o moat_n therefore_o all_o we_o which_o be_v merchant_n of_o this_o order_n and_o rank_n to_o our_o mother_n mystery_n babylon_n have_v need_n to_o trade_n with_o the_o best_a merchandise_n as_o gold_n and_o silver_n and_o precious_a stone_n and_o fine_a linen_n and_o silk_n and_o scarlet_a and_o so_o let_v this_o be_v agree_v upon_o by_o we_o all_o that_o we_o study_v hard_a and_o read_v the_o scripture_n and_o other_o modern_a divine_n which_o be_v orthodox_a that_o so_o if_o need_v require_v every_o one_o may_v preach_v ex_fw-la tempore_fw-la for_o else_o it_o will_v not_o go_v upon_o the_o account_n of_o the_o spirit_n and_o so_o have_v word_n to_o fit_v all_o time_n occasion_n and_o season_n doctrine_n from_o one_o scripture_n and_o make_v many_o use_n and_o trial_n and_o motive_n and_o so_o carnal_a people_n mind_n will_v be_v affect_v with_o such_o dexterity_n and_o readiness_n so_o that_o we_o shall_v clear_v ourselves_o from_o clamour_n which_o some_o of_o our_o merchant_n have_v fall_v under_o because_o of_o their_o negligence_n and_o if_o any_o shall_v accuse_v we_o for_o study_v and_o patch_v up_o our_o sermon_n out_o of_o divers_a author_n mix_v with_o scripture_n and_o our_o invention_n then_o bring_v such_o a_o scripture_n as_o that_o 2_o tim._n 2_o 1●_z study_v
