to_o they_o again_o so_o by_o feed_v on_o the_o word_n the_o strength_n of_o the_o soul_n abide_v it_o communicate_v abide_v strength_n faith_n and_o experience_n and_o it_o be_v hereby_o the_o soul_n grow_v day_n by_o day_n and_o his_o love_n to_o god_n be_v increase_v and_o by_o the_o power_n of_o it_o he_o walk_v with_o god_n in_o holiness_n and_o lowliness_n of_o mind_n and_o bring_v forth_o all_o the_o fruit_n of_o the_o spirit_n like_v as_o the_o ground_n bring_v forth_o by_o the_o shower_n of_o heaven_n 7._o herb_n meet_v for_o he_o by_o who_o it_o be_v dress_v 4._o these_o be_v delight_v and_o cheer_v by_o the_o word_n as_o in_o a_o banquet_n of_o wine_n and_o get_v great_a power_n over_o their_o corruption_n but_o such_o a_o taste_n and_o eat_v as_o this_o and_o such_o bless_a effect_n of_o the_o word_n on_o the_o soul_n do_v the_o person_n never_o attain_v unto_o who_o be_v say_v in_o our_o text_n to_o have_v taste_v the_o good_a word_n of_o god_n etc._n etc._n evident_a it_o be_v that_o the_o apostle_n clear_o note_v concern_v the_o person_n in_o my_o text_n that_o whatsoever_o taste_n they_o may_v have_v of_o the_o doctrine_n of_o the_o gospel_n call_v the_o heavenly_a gift_n or_o of_o the_o good_a word_n of_o god_n yet_o they_o be_v fruitless_a soul_n even_o like_o the_o earth_n that_o the_o rain_n fall_v upon_o and_o yet_o bring_v forth_o briar_n the_o thing_n of_o this_o world_n nay_o with_o their_o abominable_a and_o filthy_a lust_n 2._o but_o for_o the_o lord_n sake_n take_v heed_n you_o rest_v not_o satisfy_v with_o a_o bare_a taste_n of_o heavenly_a thing_n or_o with_o some_o seem_a relish_n thereof_o such_o indeed_o may_v not_o be_v far_o from_o the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n but_o alas_o alas_o if_o they_o
say_v that_o those_o who_o follow_v christ_n and_o suffer_v for_o he_o shall_v be_v reward_v at_o the_o resurrection_n of_o the_o just_a as_o luke_n 14._o 14._o and_o in_o another_o place_n it_o be_v city_n may_v be_v a_o figure_n of_o the_o church_n yet_o no_o doubt_n there_o be_v more_o intend_a it_o be_v that_o city_n abraham_n isaac_n and_o jacob_n seek_v for_o that_o have_v foundation_n
