the_o knowledge_n of_o thy_o grace_n and_o faith_n in_o thou_o increase_v this_o knowledge_n and_o confirm_v this_o faith_n in_o we_o evermore_o give_v thy_o holy_a spirit_n to_o these_o infant_n his_o work_n and_o constant_o be_v leeve_o god_n holy_a word_n and_o obedient_o keep_v his_o commandment_n then_o shall_v the_o priest_n demand_v of_o the_o godfather_n and_o godmother_n these_o question_n follow_v do_v thou_o forsake_v the_o devil_n and_o all_o his_o work_n the_o vain_a pomp_n and_o glory_n of_o the_o world_n with_o all_o eovetous_a desire_n of_o the_o same_o the_o carnal_a not_o be_v ashamed_a to_o confess_v the_o faith_n of_o christ_n crucify_v and_o manful_o to_o fight_v under_o his_o banner_n against_o sin_n the_o world_n and_o the_o devil_n and_o to_o continue_v christ_n faithful_a soldier_n and_o servant_n unto_o his_o life_n end_n amen_n then_o shall_v the_o priest_n say_v see_v now_o dear_o belove_a brethren_n that_o these_o child_n be_v regenerate_v and_o graft_v into_o the_o body_n of_o christ_n congregation_n let_v we_o give_v thanks_o unto_o god_n for_o these_o benefit_n and_o with_o one_o accord_n make_v our_o prayer_n unto_o almighty_a god_n make_v partaker_n of_o the_o death_n of_o thy_o son_n so_o he_o may_v be_v partaker_n of_o his_o resurrection_n so_o that_o final_o with_o the_o residue_n of_o thy_o holy_a congregation_n he_o may_v be_v inheritout_a of_o thy_o everlasting_a kingdom_n through_o christ_n our_o lord_n amen_n at_o the_o last_o end_n the_o priest_n call_v the_o godfather_n and_o godmother_n together_o shall_v say_v this_o exhortation_n follow_v forasmuch_o as_o these_o child_n have_v promise_v by_o you_o to_o forsake_v the_o devil_n and_o at_o his_o work_n to_o believe_v in_o god_n and_o to_o serve_v he_o you_o must_v remember_v that_o it_o be_v your_o part_n and_o duty_n to_o see_v that_o these_o infant_n be_v teach_v so_o soon_o as_o they_o shall_v be_v able_a to_o learn_v what_o a_o solemn_a vow_n man_n ought_v to_o know_v and_o believe_v to_o his_o soul_n health_n and_o that_o these_o child_n may_v be_v virtuous_o bring_v up_o to_o lead_v a_o godly_a and_o a_o christian_a life_n remember_v always_o that_o baptism_n do_v represent_v unto_o we_o our_o profession_n which_o be_v to_o follow_v the_o example_n of_o our_o saviour_n christ_n and_o to_o be_v make_v like_o unto_o he_o that_o as_o he_o die_v and_z rise_v again_o for_o we_o so_o shall_v we_o which_o be_v baptize_v die_v from_o sin_n and_o rise_v again_o unto_o righteousness_n continual_o mortify_v all_o our_o evil_a and_o corrupt_a affection_n and_o daily_o proceed_v in_o all_o bertue_n and_o godliness_n of_o live_v the_o minister_n that_o command_n that_o the_o child_n be_v bring_v to_o the_o bishop_n to_o be_v confirm_v of_o he_o so_o soon_o as_o they_o can_v say_v in_o their_o vulgar_a tongue_n the_o article_n of_o the_o faith_n the_o lord_n prayer_n and_o the_o ten_o commandment_n and_o be_v further_o instruct_v in_o the_o catechism_n set_v forth_o for_o that_o purpose_n according_a as_o it_o be_v there_o express_v ¶_o of_o they_o that_o be_v to_o be_v baptize_v in_o private_a house_n in_o time_n i_o speak_v unto_o you_o while_o i_o be_v yet_o with_o you_o that_o all_o must_v be_v fulfil_v which_o be_v write_v of_o i_o in_o the_o law_n of_o moses_n and_o in_o the_o prophet_n and_o in_o the_o psalm_n then_o open_v he_o their_o wit_n that_o they_o may_v understand_v the_o scripture_n and_o say_v unto_o they_o thus_o it_o be_v write_v and_o thus_o it_o behove_v christ_n to_o suffer_v and_o to_o rise_v again_o from_o death_n the_o three_o day_n and_o that_o repentance_n and_o remission_n of_o sin_n shall_v be_v preach_v in_o his_o name_n among_o all_o nation_n and_o must_v begin_v at_o jerusalem_n and_o you_o be_v witness_n of_o these_o thing_n the_o first_o sunday_n after_o easter_n the_o collect._n almighty_a god_n which_o etc._n etc._n as_o at_o the_o communion_n on_o easter_n day_n the_o epistle_n all_o that_o be_v bear_v of_o god_n 5.4_o 1._o joh._n 5.4_o overcom_v the_o world_n and_o this_o be_v the_o victory_n that_o overcom_v the_o world_n even_o our_o faith_n who_o
