have_v strength_n by_o weight_n and_o measure_n as_o thing_n create_v have_v but_o inasmuch_o as_o the_o strength_n of_o god_n exceed_v all_o measure_n and_o that_o he_o be_v whole_o infinite_a it_o of_o nothing_o and_o to_o call_v those_o thing_n which_o be_v not_o aswell_o as_o the_o thing_n which_o be_v so_o be_v it_o proper_a to_o the_o depth_n of_o his_o wisdom_n by_o search_v the_o reins_n and_o heart_n to_o see_v that_o which_o as_o yet_o be_v not_o there_o as_o if_o it_o be_v already_o and_o which_o without_o doubt_n shall_v be_v but_o because_o as_o i_o say_v before_o this_o wisdom_n god_n make_v 1._o all_o thing_n say_v the_o psalmist_n and_o 10._o he_o have_v pour_v she_o out_o upon_o all_o his_o work_n say_v the_o son_n of_o syrach_n so_o that_o as_o by_o the_o creation_n of_o all_o thing_n of_o nothing_o we_o may_v know_v the_o power_n of_o the_o workman_n so_o by_o the_o admirable_a skill_n which_o we_o see_v in_o every_o thing_n we_o may_v admire_v the_o wisdom_n of_o the_o creator_n for_o he_o have_v dispose_v all_o thing_n in_o measure_n number_n and_o 20._o weight_n say_v the_o wiseman_n and_o this_o be_v the_o savour_n wherewith_o god_n have_v season_v all_o thing_n that_o by_o the_o same_o we_o may_v learn_v how_o savoury_a and_o well_o season_v the_o wisdom_n itself_o be_v how_o to_o be_v love_v and_o desire_v all_o thing_n create_v then_o have_v a_o certain_a measure_n a_o certain_a number_n and_o a_o certain_a weight_n aswell_o that_o they_o may_v be_v distinguish_v from_o god_n who_o have_v neither_o measure_n as_o be_v immense_a nor_o number_n as_o be_v one_o and_o simple_a in_o respect_n of_o his_o essence_n nor_o weight_n because_o his_o estimate_n and_o price_n be_v above_o all_o estimation_n as_o also_o that_o they_o may_v be_v good_a and_o beautiful_a as_o moses_n say_v most_o true_o and_o god_n see_v all_o that_o he_o have_v make_v and_o lo_o it_o be_v very_o good_a i_o all_o 31._o thing_n therefore_o have_v that_o measure_n which_o be_v necessary_a to_o obtain_v the_o end_n for_o which_o they_o be_v create_v nor_o can_v there_o be_v any_o thing_n add_v to_o or_o take_v from_o they_o but_o that_o they_o will_v become_v deform_v or_o unprofitable_a and_o in_o that_o respect_n less_o good_a god_n make_v every_o thing_n say_v the_o preacher_n beautiful_a in_o his_o time_n and_o a_o little_a after_o to_o it_o no_o man_n can_v add_v and_o from_o it_o none_o can_v diminish_v therefore_o 14._o god_n give_v a_o large_a and_o most_o ample_a measure_n to_o the_o heaven_n because_o it_o may_v comprehend_v all_o inferior_a thing_n within_o its_o circuit_n to_o the_o air_n he_o give_v less_o than_o to_o heaven_n yet_o more_o than_o to_o the_o earth_n and_o water_n which_o make_v one_o globe_n and_o be_v contain_v and_o compass_v round_o with_o the_o air_n he_o have_v give_v a_o great_a measure_n of_o body_n to_o a_o elephant_n that_o he_o may_v carry_v great_a burden_n even_o tower_v fill_v with_o man_n to_o a_o horse_n less_o be_v make_v only_o to_o carry_v one_o rider_n the_o bird_n he_o make_v little_a that_o they_o may_v make_v their_o nest_n in_o tree_n and_o bough_n bee_n and_o ant_n he_o create_v least_o of_o all_o that_o the_o one_o may_v hide_v themselves_o in_o the_o hole_n of_o hive_n and_o the_o other_o in_o the_o earth_n 2._o the_o same_o may_v be_v say_v of_o number_n god_n create_v but_o one_o sun_n because_o one_o be_v enough_o to_o enlighten_v the_o earth_n and_o the_o day_n with_o his_o splendour_n and_o but_o one_o moon_n because_o one_o be_v sufficient_a to_o give_v light_n in_o the_o night_n the_o star_n he_o will_v have_v to_o be_v many_o because_o when_o the_o sun_n and_o moon_n give_v no_o light_n as_o in_o their_o conjunction_n they_o shall_v dispel_v the_o darkness_n of_o the_o night_n nor_o do_v he_o only_o assign_v a_o necessary_a number_n to_o thing_n in_o common_a but_o appoint_v the_o number_n of_o part_n to_o every_o thing_n in_o particular_a so_o that_o nothing_o may_v be_v add_v or_o take_v from_o they_o he_o give_v to_o man_n two_o eye_n two_o ear_n two_o hand_n two_o foot_n one_o nose_n one_o mouth_n one_o heart_n and_o one_o head_n whereby_o he_o become_v a_o most_o 〈◊〉_d creature_n invert_v but_o the_o order_n and_o give_v to_o any_o man_n but_o one_o eye_n and_o two_o nose_n one_o ear_n and_o two_o mouth_n one_o foot_n and_o two_o heart_n and_o head_n and_o no_o creature_n will_v seem_v more_o ugly_a more_o deform_v 3_o last_o concern_v weight_n god_n give_v to_o every_o thing_n such_o a_o estimation_n as_o its_o nature_n require_v beside_o under_o the_o name_n of_o weight_n and_o esteem_n we_o understand_v quality_n which_o make_v thing_n good_a and_o precious_a and_o these_o three_o make_v all_o thing_n perfect_a 1_o a_o number_n of_o part_n which_o be_v necessary_a that_o none_o be_v want_v 2_o a_o measure_n or_o apt_a proportion_n of_o part_n 3_o last_o internal_a or_o external_a quality_n as_o pleasantness_n of_o colour_n in_o the_o outward_a superficies_n of_o the_o body_n and_o virtue_n within_o profitable_a or_o necessary_a for_o several_a action_n but_o it_o be_v a_o marvellous_a thing_n to_o consider_v what_o power_n god_n have_v impart_v to_o some_o small_a creature_n that_o it_o may_v seem_v he_o have_v a_o desire_n to_o manifest_v his_o power_n in_o great_a and_o his_o wisdom_n in_o small_a thing_n who_o can_v conceive_v the_o strength_n and_o force_n of_o a_o grain_n of_o mustardseed_n which_o be_v the_o least_o of_o all_o seed_n and_o so_o little_a that_o a_o man_n can_v hardly_o discern_v it_o and_o yet_o from_o it_o grow_v so_o great_a a_o tree_n that_o the_o bird_n make_v their_o nest_n in_o it_o as_o 32._o our_o saviour_n speak_v in_o the_o gospel_n nor_o be_v this_o only_a proper_a to_o mustardseed_n but_o common_a to_o all_o other_o seed_n within_o the_o virtue_n whereof_o root_n body_n bough_n leaf_n flower_n and_o fruit_n they_o have_v head_n heart_n external_a and_o internal_a sense_n and_o after_o their_o manner_n wisdom_n and_o judgement_n though_o very_o unperfect_a last_o who_o can_v think_v or_o imagine_v that_o in_o they_o and_o other_o little_a creature_n there_o shall_v be_v so_o great_a power_n to_o pierce_v into_o live_a flesh_n that_o not_o only_o they_o become_v troublesome_a to_o man_n but_o that_o elephant_n and_o lion_n shall_v be_v terrify_v by_o gnat_n and_o fly_n great_a therefore_o be_v the_o lord_n and_o great_a be_v his_o wisdom_n as_o in_o the_o great_a so_o in_o the_o least_o of_o thing_n if_o that_o great_a prince_n of_o physician_n galen_n though_o a_o heathen_a admire_v the_o workmanship_n we_o of_o god_n break_v out_o into_o the_o praise_n of_o the_o creator_n what_o ought_v thou_o to_o do_v o_o christian_n who_o believe_v that_o he_o not_o only_o create_v the_o body_n of_o man_n and_o other_o animal_n but_o the_o heaven_n star_n angel_n and_o immortal_a mind_n of_o man_n by_o his_o wonderful_a wisdom_n now_o the_o length_n of_o this_o practical_a 2._o wisdom_n appear_v in_o the_o preservation_n of_o thing_n as_o the_o latitude_n in_o the_o creation_n and_o indeed_o the_o great_a and_o admirable_a wisdom_n of_o god_n be_v plain_o see_v in_o the_o preservation_n and_o continuance_n of_o thing_n create_v especial_o of_o those_o which_o be_v corruptible_a 1._o and_o true_o first_o if_o a_o man_n will_v consider_v in_o what_o manner_n god_n nourish_v and_o increase_v herb_n plant_n animal_n endue_v with_o life_n and_o the_o body_n of_o man_n themselves_o to_o preserve_v they_o as_o long_o as_o may_v be_v it_o will_v so_o astonish_v he_o that_o he_o can_v not_o sufficient_o admire_v god_n wisdom_n herein_o for_o by_o earth_n and_o water_n he_o nourish_v herb_n and_o plant_n and_o cause_v nutriment_n to_o pass_v from_o the_o root_n to_o the_o body_n from_o the_o body_n to_o the_o bough_n from_o thence_o to_o the_o leaf_n and_o fruit_n in_o a_o most_o admirable_a manner_n so_o also_o by_o herb_n and_o fruit_n and_o the_o flesh_n of_o creature_n he_o nourish_v other_o creature_n and_o man_n themselves_o and_o cause_v the_o aliment_n and_o nutriment_n to_o disperse_v into_o all_o the_o inward_a and_o outward_a part_n of_o the_o body_n with_o such_o facility_n and_o sweetness_n that_o it_o may_v seem_v incredible_a god_n deal_v herein_o as_o a_o skilful_a and_o love_a physician_n that_o so_o prepare_v and_o fit_v his_o drug_n as_o that_o they_o may_v be_v take_v not_o only_o easy_o but_o willing_o too_o our_o meat_n be_v without_o doubt_n medicine_n which_o unless_o they_o be_v often_o take_v we_o can_v subsist_v and_o our_o love_a and_o wise_a physician_n god_n first_o of_o all_o give_v a_o good_a taste_n and_o relish_v to_o our_o meat_n that_o we_o may_v take_v they_o with_o delight_n then_o he_o have_v give_v we_o great_a variety_n that_o we_o shall_v not_o loathe_v it_o last_o by_o diverse_a alteration_n in_o the_o mouth_n stomach_n liver_n and_o heart_n he_o convert_v the_o meat_n into_o so_o subtle_a and_o thin_a a_o juice_n that_o without_o any_o pain_n it_o pass_v through_o all_o the_o vein_n and_o pore_n of_o the_o body_n and_o to_o all_o the_o part_n of_o the_o flesh_n bone_n and_o nerve_n whether_o we_o sleep_v or_o wake_v and_o without_o sense_n of_o it_o philosopher_n admire_v the_o skill_n and_o art_n of_o nature_n when_o they_o see_v and_o behold_v these_o thing_n but_o what_o cunning_a or_o art_n can_v there_o be_v in_o thing_n inanimate_a and_o void_a of_o sense_n and_o reason_n it_o be_v not_o then_o the_o skill_n of_o nature_n but_o the_o wisdom_n of_o of_o the_o creator_n who_o make_v nature_n and_o find_v out_o the_o mean_n to_o do_v these_o thing_n that_o we_o ought_v to_o admire_v you_o may_v hear_v christ_n the_o wisdom_n of_o god_n speak_v in_o the_o gospel_n 28_o learn_v how_o the_o lily_n of_o the_o field_n do_v grow_v they_o be_v not_o weary_v neither_o spin_v and_o a_o little_a after_o if_o god_n so_o clothe_v the_o grass_n of_o the_o field_n etc._n etc._n so_o that_o 30._o it_o be_v not_o the_o skill_n of_o nature_n but_o god_n that_o make_v the_o lily_n grow_v and_o be_v so_o clothe_v as_o with_o garment_n so_o also_o the_o apostle_n speak_v of_o the_o nourishment_n and_o increase_n of_o live_a thing_n neither_o be_v he_o that_o plant_v 7._o any_o thing_n nor_o he_o that_o water_v but_o god_n that_o give_v the_o increase_n and_o if_o the_o wisdom_n of_o god_n after_o so_o admirable_a a_o manner_n feed_v nourish_v and_o preserve_v the_o life_n of_o plant_n and_o creature_n consider_v if_o thou_o can_v how_o he_o feed_v the_o mind_n of_o angel_n and_o man_n in_o the_o eternal_a life_n for_o in_o earth_n here_o we_o be_v nourish_v with_o earthly_a food_n yet_o prepare_v by_o the_o divine_a wisdom_n but_o in_o heaven_n his_o wisdom_n be_v meat_n and_o drink_v to_o those_o who_o live_v for_o ever_o o_o thou_o
