of_o this_o solemnity_n and_o so_o let_v they_o know_v that_o the_o holy_a ghost_n represent_v by_o their_o pour_v out_o of_o water_n be_v not_o to_o be_v expect_v by_o their_o rite_n and_o ceremony_n but_o by_o believe_v the_o doctrine_n which_o he_o preach_v and_o that_o this_o shall_v not_o be_v in_o so_o scant_a and_o narrow_a a_o measure_n as_o that_o which_o be_v take_v out_o of_o siloam_n nature_n of_o that_o effusion_n represent_v to_o we_o by_o river_n of_o live_a water_n flow_v out_o of_o they_o 3._o the_o time_n that_o be_v reserve_v for_o it_o which_o be_v after_o the_o glorious_a ascension_n of_o christ_n to_o heaven_n for_o the_o holy_a ghost_n be_v not_o yet_o give_v because_o that_o jesus_n be_v not_o yet_o glorify_v 1._o the_o effusion_n of_o the_o spirit_n under_o the_o divine_a spirit_n and_o therefore_o that_o there_o be_v real_o such_o a_o pour_v out_o of_o the_o spirit_n as_o be_v here_o mention_v 1._o that_o the_o thing_n attribute_v to_o the_o apostle_n can_v not_o arise_v from_o any_o mere_o natural_a cause_n it_o be_v not_o my_o present_a business_n to_o prove_v the_o truth_n of_o the_o matter_n of_o fact_n viz._n that_o the_o apostle_n do_v those_o thing_n which_o be_v account_v miracle_n by_o those_o who_o see_v they_o or_o hear_v of_o they_o and_o that_o on_o the_o day_n of_o pentecost_n they_o do_v speak_v with_o strange_a tongue_n for_o these_o thing_n be_v so_o universal_o attest_v by_o the_o most_o competent_a witness_n viz._n person_n of_o the_o same_o age_n who_o testimony_n we_o can_v have_v no_o reason_n to_o suspect_v and_o not_o only_o by_o those_o who_o be_v the_o friend_n to_o this_o religion_n but_o the_o great_a enemy_n jew_n and_o heathen_n and_o by_o all_o the_o utmost_a endeavour_n of_o atheistical_a man_n who_o have_v not_o set_v themselves_o to_o disprove_v the_o testimony_n but_o the_o consequence_n of_o it_o by_o say_v that_o grant_v they_o true_a they_o do_v not_o infer_v the_o concurrence_n of_o a_o divine_a spirit_n that_o on_o the_o same_o ground_n any_o person_n will_v question_v the_o truth_n of_o these_o thing_n he_o must_v question_v the_o truth_n of_o some_o other_o thing_n which_o himself_o believe_v on_o the_o same_o or_o weak_a ground_n than_o these_o be_v suppose_v then_o the_o matter_n of_o fact_n to_o be_v true_a we_o now_o inquire_v whether_o these_o thing_n may_v proceed_v from_o any_o mere_o natural_a cause_n which_o will_v be_v the_o best_a do_v by_o examine_v the_o most_o plausible_a account_n which_o be_v pretend_v to_o be_v give_v of_o they_o and_o thus_o some_o have_v have_v the_o confidence_n to_o say_v that_o whatever_o be_v say_v to_o be_v do_v by_o the_o power_n of_o miracle_n in_o the_o apostle_n may_v be_v effect_v by_o a_o natural_a temperament_n of_o body_n or_o the_o great_a power_n of_o imagination_n and_o that_o their_o speak_n with_o strange_a tongue_n may_v be_v the_o effect_n only_o of_o a_o natural_a enthusiasm_n or_o some_o distemper_n of_o brain_n 1._o that_o the_o power_n of_o miracle_n may_v be_v nothing_o but_o a_o natural_a temperament_n or_o the_o strength_n of_o imagination_n 1._o a_o excellent_a natural_a temper_n of_o body_n they_o say_v may_v do_v strange_a and_o wonder_v thing_n so_o that_o such_o a_o one_o who_o have_v a_o exact_a temperament_n may_v walk_v upon_o the_o water_n stand_v in_o the_o air_n and_o quench_v the_o violence_n of_o the_o fire_n and_o by_o a_o strange_a kind_n of_o sanative_a contagion_n may_v communicate_v healthful_a spirit_n as_o person_n that_o be_v infect_v do_v noisome_a and_o pestilential_a these_o be_v thing_n speak_v with_o as_o much_o case_n and_o as_o little_a reason_n as_o any_o of_o the_o calumny_n against_o religion_n which_o be_v so_o bold_o utter_v
