if_o this_o shall_v be_v grant_v that_o we_o may_v lawful_o resist_v or_o withdraw_v our_o neck_n from_o the_o yoke_n of_o obedience_n to_o a_o magistrate_n because_o erroneous_a in_o his_o judgement_n or_o heretical_a it_o will_v open_v a_o gap_n to_o a_o perpetual_a rebellion_n and_o draw_v a_o sword_n that_o shall_v never_o be_v sheathe_v up_o for_o there_o shall_v never_o be_v any_o in_o authority_n but_o he_o will_v be_v a_o heretic_n to_o some_o party_n every_o one_o esteem_v himself_o in_o the_o truth_n though_o true_o orthodox_n in_o himself_o and_o then_o that_o heretic_n may_v also_o judge_v it_o lawful_a for_o he_o to_o resist_v that_o magistrate_n or_o unlawful_a to_o obey_v he_o and_o a_o three_o party_n judge_v so_o of_o this_o and_o so_o by_o sword_n and_o violence_n one_o will_v be_v always_o crowd_v another_o out_o of_o the_o seat_n of_o authority_n how_o pernicious_a this_o will_v be_v to_o religion_n and_o common_a safety_n let_v any_o judge_n fourthlie_o we_o answer_v that_o heresy_n in_o a_o magistrate_n be_v no_o sufficient_a plea_n for_o a_o subject_a to_o resist_v his_o authority_n because_o heresy_n be_v a_o corruption_n of_o the_o person_n not_o of_o the_o authority_n he_o err_v as_o a_o man_n not_o as_o clothe_v with_o authority_n he_o er_v as_o imperfect_a in_o judgement_n know_v but_o in_o part_n not_o as_o a_o magistrate_n for_o a_o erroneous_a christian_a may_v be_v a_o just_a and_o faithful_a magistrate_n and_o if_o he_o tolerate_v wicked_a person_n and_o evil_a worker_n it_o be_v contrary_a to_o that_o end_n of_o his_o power_n to_o which_o by_o god_n he_o be_v delegated_a viz_o for_o the_o punishment_n of_o they_o that_o be_v evil_a and_o if_o he_o desinge_v his_o sword_n against_o holiness_n &_o truth_n he_o have_v the_o more_o need_n of_o our_o prayer_n and_o it_o behoove_v we_o the_o more_o carnestlie_o to_o implore_v the_o god_n of_o heaven_n right_o to_o inform_v his_o judgement_n &_o to_o direct_v his_o heart_n by_o his_o truth_n to_o teach_v his_o finger_n to_o fight_v and_o his_o arm_n to_o sway_v the_o sword_n of_o justice_n for_o the_o lord_n against_o all_o impiety_n last_o if_o this_o shall_v be_v grant_v another_o absurdity_n must_v thence_o necessary_o follow_v where_o must_v live_v the_o passive_a christian_n where_o shall_v we_o find_v a_o martyr_n if_o we_o have_v liberty_n to_o resist_v a_o heretical_a magistrate_n then_o how_o shall_v we_o leave_v all_o yield_v up_o our_o life_n and_o good_n for_o the_o testimony_n of_o christ_n and_o his_o gospel_n a_o christian_n shall_v go_v like_o a_o lamb_n to_o the_o slaughter_n but_o if_o he_o resist_v and_o prevail_v not_o he_o will_v go_v like_o a_o wild_a bull_n take_v in_o the_o net_n and_o be_v lead_v to_o his_o suffering_n like_o a_o bear_n to_o the_o stake_n true_o like_o a_o
