health_n neither_o can_v his_o repentance_n be_v so_o well_o manifest_v be_v as_o it_o be_v wrest_v from_o he_o by_o this_o kind_n of_o extremity_n as_o when_o it_o be_v wrought_v in_o bodily_a strength_n for_o whatsoever_o come_v by_o compulsion_n be_v not_o so_o acceptable_a as_o what_o be_v voluntary_a yet_o be_v repentance_n true_o begin_v in_o sickness_n and_o effectual_o continue_v though_o weak_o in_o respect_n of_o the_o body_n infirmity_n yet_o may_v it_o be_v most_o true_a through_o the_o strength_n of_o faith_n without_o repentance_n there_o be_v no_o cure_n comfortable_a to_o the_o soul_n or_o body_n though_o god_n may_v permit_v a_o wicked_a man_n to_o be_v case_v or_o cure_v of_o his_o bodily_a disease_n by_o humane_a physic_n yet_o the_o soul_n lie_v still_o in_o almost_o deadly_a sickness_n the_o true_a ground_n of_o prevail_a physic_n be_v to_o make_v peace_n first_o with_o god_n the_o good_a and_o great_a physician_n according_a to_o the_o counsel_n of_o the_o wiseman_n who_o thus_o advise_v my_o son_n fail_v not_o in_o thy_o sickness_n to_o pray_v unto_o the_o lord_n and_o he_o will_v make_v thou_o whole_a yet_o he_o add_v a_o condition_n that_o he_o leave_v off_o from_o sin_n that_o he_o order_n his_o hand_n aright_o and_o that_o he_o cleanse_v his_o heart_n from_o all_o wickedness_n and_o if_o hw_o be_v able_a true_o to_o say_v as_o hezekiah_n in_o his_o sickness_n do_v i_o beseech_v thou_o lord_n remember_v now_o how_o i_o have_v walk_v before_o thou_o in_o truth_n and_o with_o a_o perfect_a heart_n and_o have_v do_v that_o which_o be_v good_a in_o thy_o sight_n then_o he_o may_v be_v assure_v that_o his_o sickness_n shall_v be_v turn_v from_o a_o curse_n to_o a_o blessing_n and_o god_n that_o have_v make_v the_o wound_n will_v bind_v it_o up_o and_o cure_v it_o he_o will_v raise_v he_o again_o or_o give_v he_o patience_n in_o a_o lively_a hope_n to_o change_v this_o mortal_a for_o a_o immortal_a estate_n and_o for_o his_o patient_a suffer_v this_o medicinable_a cross_n will_v give_v he_o a_o glorious_a crown_n of_o eternity_n whosoever_o therefore_o thou_o be_v that_o be_v visit_v turn_v unto_o the_o lord_n pray_v unto_o he_o trust_v in_o he_o and_o recommend_v thy_o life_n &_o death_n unto_o his_o free_a disposition_n who_o work_v all_o thing_n for_o the_o best_a to_o they_o that_o love_v he_o a_o prayer_n their_o body_n agility_n and_o the_o nimbleness_n of_o their_o limb_n and_o sense_n sudden_o thou_o touch_v they_o and_o they_o become_v feeble_a in_o strength_n their_o beauty_n change_v their_o sense_n dull_v their_o heart_n faint_v and_o all_o the_o part_n and_o power_n of_o their_o body_n alter_v and_o the_o whole_a man_n turn_v as_o it_o be_v into_o the_o very_a image_n of_o pale_a death_n itself_o thou_o have_v appoint_v that_o all_o man_n shall_v once_o die_v but_o thou_o conceile_v from_o all_o man_n the_o time_n when_o the_o place_n where_o &_o the_o manner_n how_o they_o shall_v die_v and_o therefore_o it_o behâ—ueth_v all_o man_n to_o be_v ever_o watchful_a in_o well_o do_v that_o when_o thou_o shall_v send_v thy_o messenger_n sickness_n of_o body_n to_o put_v they_o by_o breath_n so_o be_v our_o soul_n connex_v and_o conjoin_v unto_o god_n by_o the_o word_n of_o truth_n preach_v by_o god_n minister_n apprehend_v by_o faith_n and_o practise_v in_o spirit_n and_o truth_n the_o natural_a man_n covet_v and_o delight_v to_o refresh_v himself_o in_o his_o grief_n and_o cross_n by_o music_n by_o merry_a company_n and_o by_o read_v profane_a book_n or_o hear_v pleasant_a conceit_a song_n or_o comedy_n which_o do_v not_o only_o not_o comfort_n but_o rather_o increase_v their_o grief_n contrary_o david_n protest_v that_o he_o seek_v and_o find_v the_o only_a true_a comfort_n in_o the_o word_n of_o god_n so_o do_v all_o that_o be_v true_o qualify_v in_o the_o rule_n of_o right_a religion_n though_o worldling_n account_v it_o a_o melancholic_a weariness_n to_o sit_v a_o houâ—e_n to_o hear_v god_n speak_v unto_o they_o but_o let_v they_o think_v that_o this_o weariness_n shall_v be_v a_o witness_n against_o they_o that_o they_o belong_v not_o to_o the_o true_o this_o be_v by_o no_o other_o mean_n learned_a but_o by_o the_o word_n of_o god_n preich_v but_o some_o that_o have_v make_v the_o least_o progress_n in_o the_o love_n to_o godliness_n of_o life_n think_v it_o sufficient_a to_o read_v the_o word_n of_o god_n or_o the_o work_n of_o good_a and_o godly_a man_n at_o home_n a_o exercise_n not_o to_o be_v in_o itself_o condemn_v but_o in_o respect_n of_o it_o to_o neglect_v the_o word_n preach_v be_v the_o contempt_n of_o god_n ordinance_n who_o have_v in_o great_a favour_n institute_v his_o minister_n to_o teach_v by_o the_o powerful_a word_n preach_v it_o be_v from_o god_n the_o ministry_n from_o the_o mouth_n of_o man_n who_o be_v the_o mouth_n of_o god_n he_o therefore_o that_o neglect_v or_o contemn_v the_o word_n preach_v neglect_v the_o mean_n of_o his_o salvation_n which_o be_v faith_n in_o christ_n jesus_n for_o faith_n come_v by_o hear_v and_o hear_v by_o the_o word_n of_o god_n preach_v it_o be_v not_o yet_o sufficient_a to_o hear_v the_o word_n but_o as_o marie_n lay_v up_o the_o word_n in_o her_o heart_n so_o must_v every_o profitable_a hearer_n retain_v the_o word_n in_o their_o mind_n permit_v it_o
