argue_v a_o likeness_n between_o they_o what_o he_o speak_v that_o he_o think_v in_o his_o heart_n and_o it_o be_v the_o desire_n of_o his_o soul_n that_o it_o may_v be_v effect_v and_o though_o he_o may_v be_v hinder_v yet_o his_o heart_n be_v still_o the_o same_o and_o he_o be_v by_o no_o mean_n to_o be_v tax_v of_o any_o lightness_n because_o he_o do_v not_o perform_v his_o word_n the_o fault_n be_v not_o his_o levity_n his_o spirit_n be_v the_o same_o but_o some_o occasion_n fall_v out_o otherwise_o by_o the_o providence_n of_o god_n and_o so_o it_o be_v with_o every_o child_n of_o god_n so_o be_v we_o rev._n 1.6_o as_o king_n to_o rule_v over_o all_o our_o lust_n and_o to_o rule_v all_o those_o who_o god_n commend_v to_o our_o government_n according_a unto_o god_n as_o king_n to_o get_v victory_n and_o to_o conquer_v over_o the_o world_n and_o to_o over-wrastle_a any_o difficulty_n as_o we_o meet_v with_o as_o king_n anoint_a with_o the_o spirit_n of_o a_o king_n of_o a_o royal_a spirit_n though_o not_o invest_v with_o fullness_n of_o glory_n till_o the_o last_o day_n yet_o of_o a_o heroyicke_a noble_a spirit_n can_v easy_o overlook_a all_o earthly_a drudgery_n and_o resist_v any_o enemy_n we_o meet_v with_o and_o priest_n also_o we_o be_v so_o as_o we_o be_v able_a to_o offer_v up_o sacrifice_n of_o prayer_n and_o thanksgiving_n to_o god_n a_o break_a and_o a_o humble_a heart_n be_v a_o sacrifice_n much_o set_v by_o of_o god_n psalm_n 51.17_o and_o phil._n 2.17_o offer_v upon_o the_o sacrifice_n and_o service_n of_o your_o faith_n we_o be_v now_o enable_v to_o go_v to_o god_n and_o to_o offer_v up_o praise_n to_o he_o which_o be_v as_o incense_n before_o he_o and_o in_o offer_v up_o any_o other_o sacrifice_n of_o a_o holy_a life_n we_o be_v priest_n unto_o god_n the_o father_n and_o so_o be_v we_o also_o prophet_n act_n 2.17_o he_o pour_v out_o his_o spirit_n in_o a_o rich_a and_o plentiful_a measure_n he_o pour_v out_o his_o spirit_n upon_o all_o flesh_n whence_o it_o come_v to_o pass_v that_o the_o servant_n of_o god_n understand_v many_o secret_n of_o god_n counsel_n psalm_n 25.14_o and_o whence_o also_o it_o come_v to_o pass_v that_o many_o a_o godly_a man_n by_o the_o same_o spirit_n discern_v many_o secret_a hide_a mystery_n and_o meaning_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n in_o scripture_n more_o than_o ever_o he_o can_v by_o any_o read_n or_o instruction_n and_o many_o time_n discern_v some_o special_a work_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n which_o inable_v they_o to_o foresee_v some_o special_a blessing_n most_o useful_a for_o their_o spiritual_a estate_n and_o so_o lead_v they_o on_o to_o many_o good_a thing_n which_o they_o do_v little_o think_v of_o and_o so_o make_v they_o of_o prophetical_a spirit_n and_o bow_v they_o to_o teach_v other_o also_o to_o lead_v on_o other_o of_o their_o neighbour_n in_o the_o way_n of_o god_n and_o now_o i_o say_v that_o as_o these_o be_v the_o office_n of_o the_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n so_o there_o be_v no_o child_n of_o god_n that_o have_v the_o son_n but_o he_o have_v all_o these_o in_o he_o he_o be_v now_o a_o man_n of_o a_o royal_a and_o priestly_a and_o prophetical_a spirit_n and_o you_o be_v hereby_o i_o mean_v by_o the_o spirit_n not_o only_o call_v to_o these_o office_n but_o enable_v to_o discharge_v they_o for_o that_o be_v the_o difference_n between_o a_o christian_a in_o heart_n and_o a_o christian_a in_o appearance_n fall_v short_a of_o ability_n to_o perform_v these_o office_n and_o as_o there_o be_v this_o conformity_n to_o the_o nature_n and_o office_n of_o christ_n in_o they_o that_o have_v the_o son_n so_o three_o conformity_n the_o three_o conformity_n there_o be_v a_o conformity_n in_o their_o estate_n you_o know_v christ_n wade_v through_o a_o estate_n of_o humiliation_n and_o exaltation_n these_o be_v the_o main_a principle_n of_o religion_n that_o look_v as_o it_o be_v with_o christ_n estate_n it_o be_v sometime_o the_o time_n wherein_o he_o be_v humble_v in_o this_o world_n all_o the_o course_n of_o his_o life_n be_v a_o time_n of_o humiliation_n and_o that_o unto_o the_o very_a death_n or_o else_o his_o state_n of_o exaltation_n in_o heaven_n that_o then_o when_o he_o be_v most_o mortify_v then_o be_v he_o most_o glorify_a triumph_v open_o and_o mighty_o show_v
do_v and_o this_o be_v a_o great_a measure_n of_o liberty_n that_o a_o child_n of_o god_n can_v tell_v how_o to_o make_v a_o advantage_n of_o all_o the_o affliction_n he_o meet_v with_o in_o this_o world_n these_o thing_n do_v but_o serve_v his_o turn_n and_o afterward_o he_o will_v say_v he_o can_v have_v miss_v none_o of_o they_o so_o that_o this_o be_v a_o second_o work_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o the_o son_n it_o be_v a_o spirit_n of_o liberty_n only_o take_v this_o word_n for_o a_o conclusion_n and_o that_o be_v thus_o much_o examine_v now_o and_o try_v whether_o you_o have_v the_o son_n or_o no_o which_o you_o may_v know_v by_o your_o have_v or_o not_o have_v the_o spirit_n of_o the_o son_n say_v then_o have_v you_o the_o spirit_n of_o the_o son_n viz._n have_v you_o that_o spirit_n that_o christ_n be_v most_o glorious_a when_o he_o be_v most_o humble_v and_o so_o be_v you_o and_o when_o you_o enjoy_v outward_a blessing_n your_o heart_n be_v not_o puff_v up_o with_o they_o these_o be_v not_o the_o goodly_a stone_n that_o your_o heart_n and_o eye_n be_v set_v upon_o but_o you_o have_v great_a matter_n than_o these_o to_o mind_n then_o i_o say_v it_o be_v the_o very_a spirit_n of_o christ_n that_o make_v you_o to_o die_v with_o christ_n as_o well_o as_o christ_n to_o die_v for_o you_o he_o may_v die_v for_o many_o man_n but_o he_o only_o die_v with_o those_o that_o be_v bring_v on_o to_o the_o fellowship_n of_o his_o grace_n if_o a_o spirit_n of_o christ_n so_o knit_v you_o together_o that_o he_o be_v you_o and_o you_o be_v he_o than_o you_o have_v the_o son_n because_o you_o have_v the_o spirit_n of_o the_o son_n because_o you_o be_v son_n god_n have_v send_v forth_o the_o spirit_n of_o his_o son_n into_o your_o heart_n but_o now_o if_o there_o be_v no_o proportion_n no_o conformity_n to_o christ_n in_o holiness_n and_o righteousness_n not_o patient_a and_o meek_a as_o he_o be_v and_o though_o we_o be_v not_o such_o yet_o we_o allow_v ourselves_o in_o not_o be_v such_o and_o be_v ever_o and_o anon_o start_v aside_o from_o he_o and_o if_o we_o have_v not_o his_o office_n nor_o rule_v over_o our_o lust_n nor_o over_o the_o world_n and_o we_o can_v neither_o pray_v nor_o prophesy_v and_o show_v forth_o no_o spiritual_a life_n in_o our_o life_n can_v deny_v ourselves_o that_o we_o may_v show_v forth_o the_o hide_a man_n of_o the_o heart_n then_o consider_v that_o for_o the_o present_a we_o have_v not_o yet_o christ_n because_o we_o have_v not_o the_o spirit_n of_o christ_n and_o also_o if_o we_o be_v not_o yet_o free_a from_o the_o fear_n of_o death_n and_o take_v no_o care_n to_o be_v free_a from_o the_o dominion_n and_o power_n of_o sin_n but_o sin_n have_v still_o a_o power_n over_o we_o like_o a_o law_n and_o be_v not_o yet_o free_a from_o the_o service_n of_o man_n but_o as_o our_o master_n and_o governor_n say_v so_o it_o must_v be_v if_o we_o yet_o know_v not_o how_o to_o rule_v man_n for_o our_o own_o advantage_n we_o have_v not_o yet_o receive_v the_o spirit_n of_o christ_n we_o can_v tell_v how_o to_o serve_v our_o master_n with_o liberty_n of_o spirit_n we_o know_v not_o how_o to_o make_v advantage_n of_o they_o sermon_n vi._n 1_o john_n 5.12_o he_o that_o have_v the_o son_n have_v life_n and_o he_o that_o have_v not_o the_o son_n have_v not_o life_n it_o now_o remain_v that_o we_o come_v to_o show_v what_o it_o be_v to_o have_v the_o son_n by_o a_o spirit_n of_o prayer_n but_o of_o this_o we_o shall_v have_v further_a occasion_n to_o speak_v in_o the_o 14_o 15_o and_o 16_o verse_n and_o therefore_o we_o shall_v leave_v it_o now_o and_o speak_v to_o it_o then_o you_o may_v remember_v we_o say_v there_o be_v three_o note_n to_o discern_v whether_o we_o have_v the_o son_n no._n the_o first_o be_v if_o we_o desire_v not_o christ_n for_o his_o benefit_n but_o chief_o for_o himself_o the_o second_o be_v if_o we_o have_v receive_v the_o spirit_n of_o the_o son_n we_o now_o come_v to_o speak_v of_o a_o three_o sign_n a_o point_n more_o easy_a to_o be_v gather_v then_o the_o former_a but_o though_o most_o common_a yet_o not_o to_o be_v neglect_v but_o be_v well_o apply_v will_v be_v of_o special_a use_n to_o the_o edification_n and_o salvation_n of_o the_o hearer_n for_o every_o truth_n in_o his_o place_n be_v divine_a and_o precious_a prince_n the_o three_o sign_n he_o that_o have_v the_o son_n have_v he_o for_o his_o prince_n and_o therefore_o the_o next_o note_n be_v this_o he_o that_o have_v the_o son_n he_o have_v he_o not_o only_o for_o a_o saviour_n but_o for_o his_o lord_n and_o and_o unmannerly_a and_o god_n have_v give_v the_o life_n blood_n of_o his_o own_o son_n to_o purchase_v we_o unto_o himself_o and_o therefore_o he_o will_v not_o only_o save_v we_o but_o rule_v we_o or_o else_o we_o shall_v never_o have_v he_o for_o our_o saviour_n so_o that_o here_o be_v two_o point_n to_o be_v open_v point_n 1_o first_o he_o that_o have_v the_o son_n have_v he_o for_o his_o saviour_n point_n 2_o second_o he_o that_o have_v the_o son_n have_v he_o also_o for_o his_o lord_n it_o be_v a_o usual_a say_n every_o man_n will_v have_v christ_n for_o a_o saviour_n but_o rare_a be_v those_o that_o will_v have_v he_o for_o their_o ruler_n and_o governor_n but_o though_o the_o say_n be_v true_a in_o respect_n of_o the_o common_a conceit_n of_o man_n yet_o in_o truth_n i_o say_v they_o be_v but_o rare_a christian_n that_o will_v have_v he_o for_o a_o saviour_n so_o far_o off_o be_v they_o from_o desire_v he_o as_o their_o lord_n for_o two_o thing_n there_o be_v that_o go_v to_o the_o have_v of_o christ_n for_o a_o saviour_n thing_n to_o have_v christ_n for_o a_o saviour_n require_v two_o thing_n first_o he_o that_o will_v have_v christ_n for_o a_o saviour_n must_v look_v up_o to_o he_o for_o salvation_n in_o all_o his_o way_n and_o distress_n we_o have_v other_o saviour_n but_o not_o he_o if_o we_o look_v for_o salvation_n elsewhere_o esa_n 40.22_o look_v unto_o i_o all_o you_o end_v of_o the_o earth_n and_o be_v you_o save_v there_o be_v no_o god_n nor_o saviour_n beside_o i_o &_o therefore_o look_v to_o i_o and_o be_v you_o save_v so_o that_o if_o a_o man_n will_v have_v god_n for_o his_o saviour_n he_o must_v look_v to_o he_o from_o one_o end_n of_o the_o earth_n to_o the_o other_o we_o be_v at_o the_o utmost_a corner_n of_o the_o earth_n and_o if_o we_o will_v be_v save_v we_o must_v look_v up_o to_o the_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n for_o salvation_n as_o david_n look_v towards_o the_o temple_n at_o jerusalem_n for_o salvation_n
petition_n and_o the_o have_v of_o they_o all_o fulfil_v to_o open_v this_o point_n unto_o you_o and_o because_o john_n do_v gather_v this_o from_o the_o end_n of_o his_o own_o writing_n for_o he_o say_v he_o write_v these_o thing_n only_o to_o they_o that_o believe_v in_o the_o name_n of_o the_o son_n of_o god_n for_o this_o end_n that_o they_o may_v believe_v on_o his_o name_n therefore_o let_v i_o show_v you_o first_o how_o these_o two_o great_a benefit_n confidence_n and_o certainty_n of_o hear_v and_o have_v our_o petition_n do_v both_o spring_n and_o arise_v from_o what_o be_v here_o teach_v we_o first_o which_o be_v the_o foundation_n of_o all_o the_o rest_n 1_o john_n 3.1_o speak_v of_o adoption_n say_v he_o behold_v what_o manner_n of_o love_n the_o father_n have_v show_v on_o we_o that_o we_o shall_v be_v call_v the_o son_n of_o god_n he_o do_v stand_v and_o wonder_n at_o the_o marvellous_a and_o incredible_a love_n of_o god_n that_o he_o shall_v vouchsafe_v to_o be_v certain_a that_o we_o be_v the_o son_n of_o god_n upon_o which_o occasion_n a_o great_a part_n of_o this_o epistle_n be_v spend_v this_o be_v the_o first_o ground_n and_o these_o the_o apostle_n be_v wont_a to_o join_v together_o as_o the_o ground_n of_o all_o comfort_n in_o this_o kind_n gal._n 4.5_o 6._o rom._n 8.15_o so_o that_o to_o be_v persuade_v or_o to_o grow_v confident_a that_o we_o be_v the_o child_n of_o god_n will_v be_v a_o good_a foundation_n to_o the_o certainty_n of_o the_o hear_n and_o grant_v of_o our_o petition_n to_o who_o may_v a_o son_n come_v for_o any_o blessing_n but_o to_o a_o father_n and_o what_o make_v he_o more_o confident_a of_o speak_v and_o acceptance_n than_o this_o principle_n that_o he_o know_v he_o be_v the_o child_n of_o such_o a_o father_n as_o be_v willing_a and_o able_a to_o help_v he_o second_o another_o principle_n in_o this_o epistle_n tend_v to_o build_v up_o this_o certainty_n and_o confidence_n be_v not_o only_o our_o adoption_n but_o likewise_o christ_n advocation_n 1_o io._n 2.1_o 2._o if_o any_o man_n sin_n we_o have_v a_o advocate_n with_o the_o father_n jesus_n christ_n the_o righteous_a what_o advocate_n what_o what_o be_v it_o to_o be_v a_o advocate_n to_o be_v a_o advocate_n be_v to_o plead_v on_o our_o behalve_n with_o the_o father_n for_o the_o grant_n and_o answer_v of_o our_o petition_n for_o the_o pardon_v and_o heal_v of_o all_o our_o transgression_n and_o the_o perform_n to_o we_o and_o give_v of_o we_o all_o the_o good_a thing_n we_o stand_v in_o need_n of_o whether_o we_o ask_v they_o or_o ask_v they_o not_o but_o especial_o there_o be_v no_o petition_n we_o put_v up_o but_o christ_n take_v it_o at_o our_o hand_n and_o put_v it_o up_o in_o such_o form_n to_o his_o heavenly_a father_n as_o that_o by_o and_o through_o he_o it_o be_v accept_v as_o a_o man_n retain_v a_o advocate_n in_o a_o court_n he_o bring_v he_o his_o cause_n rude_o draw_v so_o as_o it_o will_v be_v reject_v in_o the_o court_n but_o his_o advocate_n put_v it_o into_o such_o a_o form_n as_o be_v agreeable_a to_o the_o law_n and_o suitable_a to_o the_o order_n of_o the_o court_n so_o as_o it_o find_v free_a acceptance_n so_o we_o put_v up_o our_o petition_n rude_o and_o many_o time_n far_o short_a of_o that_o frame_n which_o god_n especial_o look_v for_o from_o his_o servant_n hand_n but_o christ_n take_v they_o at_o our_o hand_n and_o put_v they_o into_o form_n and_o so_o prefer_v they_o to_o his_o heavenly_a father_n and_o so_o as_o from_o thence_o we_o have_v good_a occasion_n and_o good_a ground_n of_o confidence_n and_o certainty_n that_o whatever_o we_o put_v up_o in_o any_o measure_n according_a to_o god_n will_v be_v present_v to_o our_o advocate_n to_o our_o heavenly_a father_n shall_v be_v accept_v three_o the_o atonement_n or_o propitiation_n that_o our_o saviour_n make_v to_o our_o bless_a father_n speak_v of_o in_o the_o same_o place_n 1_o joh._n 2.2_o atonement_n or_o propitiation_n the_o thing_n be_v this_o that_o whereas_o many_o a_o servant_n of_o god_n may_v fear_v his_o petition_n will_v never_o be_v grant_v because_o he_o have_v be_v so_o sinful_a before_o god_n and_o have_v so_o many_o way_n dishonour_v god_n that_o he_o know_v not_o however_o god_n shall_v hear_v such_o a_o unworthy_a creature_n as_o he_o be_v now_o the_o apostle_n set_v forth_o in_o this_o epistle_n the_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n as_o our_o atonement_n that_o if_o we_o come_v to_o our_o advocate_n and_o say_v we_o have_v such_o suit_n and_o petition_n to_o put_v up_o to_o our_o heavenly_a father_n but_o we_o have_v so_o displease_v he_o that_o we_o think_v he_o will_v never_o regard_v we_o why_o say_v the_o apostle_n if_o any_o man_n sin_n we_o have_v a_o advocate_n with_o the_o father_n jesus_n christ_n the_o righteous_a and_o he_o be_v the_o propitiation_n for_o our_o sin_n and_o therefore_o for_o our_o own_o heart_n though_o we_o have_v just_a cause_n of_o discouragement_n in_o regard_n of_o our_o sin_n yet_o we_o have_v a_o propitiation_n a_o atonement_n he_o make_v intercession_n for_o we_o as_o a_o advocate_n but_o you_o say_v god_n make_v he_o able_a to_o believe_v what_o god_n have_v promise_v he_o and_o thus_o now_o when_o we_o ask_v any_o thing_n according_a to_o god_n will_v he_o do_v not_o only_o say_v it_o be_v well_o say_v but_o he_o take_v a_o course_n to_o answer_v our_o request_n we_o have_v certain_a ground_n to_o move_v we_o in_o what_o we_o ask_v and_o the_o end_n of_o our_o request_n be_v right_a now_o god_n consider_v not_o always_o so_o much_o the_o letter_n of_o our_o prayer_n as_o the_o ground_n and_o end_n of_o they_o the_o scope_n we_o aim_v at_o and_o god_n will_v so_o according_o answer_v we_o use_v 1_o let_v it_o be_v first_o a_o ground_n of_o encouragement_n to_o every_o christian_a soul_n that_o believe_v in_o the_o name_n of_o jesus_n christ_n trust_v not_o in_o your_o own_o good_a part_n and_o good_a gift_n if_o any_o such_o thing_n increase_v set_v not_o your_o heart_n upon_o they_o trust_v not_o in_o any_o worldly_a blessing_n but_o believe_v on_o the_o name_n of_o christ_n and_o therefore_o that_o you_o may_v believe_v humble_a your_o soul_n before_o he_o in_o regard_n of_o your_o sin_n and_o pray_v hearty_o in_o the_o faith_n of_o christ_n and_o why_o so_o the_o ground_n be_v in_o the_o text_n you_o shall_v not_o only_o be_v confident_a and_o assure_v of_o your_o salvation_n which_o be_v a_o great_a mercy_n of_o god_n to_o my_o soul_n and_o a_o great_a than_o all_o the_o whole_a church_n of_o rome_n will_v grant_v they_o may_v go_v to_o rome_n and_o from_o thence_o to_o jerusalem_n and_o from_o one_o place_n to_o another_o to_o have_v seek_v for_o pardon_n of_o sin_n and_o yet_o not_o so_o much_o comfort_v promise_v they_o that_o after_o all_o this_o they_o shall_v find_v it_o but_o in_o the_o end_n to_o purgatory_n they_o must_v go_v and_o that_o be_v as_o ill_a as_o hell_n fire_n say_v they_o save_v only_o in_o durance_n and_o this_o be_v all_o the_o help_n they_o have_v they_o may_v whip_v and_o scourge_v themselves_o and_o give_v all_o their_o good_n away_o to_o the_o poor_a and_o themselves_o go_v in_o sackcloth_n and_o ash_n all_o their_o day_n and_o when_o all_o come_v to_o all_o they_o must_v not_o be_v sure_a of_o any_o mercy_n or_o favour_n from_o god_n which_o to_o believe_v will_v be_v heretical_a presumption_n but_o they_o must_v notwithstanding_o all_o this_o rest_n in_o hell_n fire_n till_o the_o day_n of_o judgement_n unless_o they_o will_v be_v at_o cost_n to_o purchase_v freedom_n from_o it_o and_o which_o be_v strange_a though_o they_o will_v not_o suffer_v they_o to_o believe_v a_o release_n by_o christ_n pardon_n yet_o upon_o the_o pope_n pardon_n they_o may_v have_v hope_n and_o so_o they_o take_v more_o pain_n for_o a_o uncertainty_n than_o we_o for_o certainty_n and_o knowledge_n but_o you_o shall_v not_o only_o attain_v certainty_n of_o salvation_n but_o certainty_n of_o the_o grant_n of_o all_o your_o request_n no_o peace_n to_o the_o peace_n of_o a_o believer_n and_o therefore_o lie_v aside_o all_o your_o confidence_n in_o the_o world_n but_o be_v confident_a in_o the_o name_n of_o the_o lord_n jesus_n and_o be_v certain_a of_o god_n favour_n and_o goodness_n to_o you_o in_o he_o and_o then_o here_o be_v such_o blessing_n as_o will_v keep_v a_o man_n heart_n warm_a in_o the_o worst_a hour_n use_v 2._o to_o teach_v such_o as_o believe_v on_o the_o name_n of_o the_o lord_n jesus_n how_o you_o may_v come_v to_o be_v confident_a and_o certain_a of_o the_o hear_n and_o grant_v your_o petition_n how_o may_v we_o come_v to_o that_o have_v thou_o good_a evidence_n to_o thy_o soul_n of_o thy_o adoption_n that_o god_n be_v thy_o father_n then_o meditate_v well_o upon_o this_o point_n that_o christ_n be_v thy_o advocate_n to_o make_v intercession_n and_o atonement_n for_o thou_o in_o case_n thou_o have_v displease_v thy_o heavenly_a father_n these_o two_o thing_n will_v much_o prevail_v they_o be_v strong_a help_n to_o a_o weak_a faith_n and_o then_o consider_v what_o unction_n thou_o have_v receive_v and_o look_v up_o to_o god_n that_o he_o will_v give_v thou_o a_o spirit_n of_o prayer_n to_o pray_v feel_o and_o fervent_o and_o humble_o before_o he_o and_o then_o labour_v for_o a_o spirit_n of_o faith_n which_o if_o god_n give_v thou_o so_o much_o faith_n as_o to_o persuade_v thou_o thy_o request_n be_v hear_v and_o to_o wrestle_v against_o discouragement_n and_o that_o the_o spirit_n of_o faith_n do_v work_n in_o thou_o grace_n to_o hope_v and_o wait_v upon_o god_n and_o withal_o a_o holy_a fear_n of_o his_o name_n and_o obedience_n to_o walk_v obedient_o in_o do_v his_o will_n and_o patient_o to_o suffer_v his_o will_n under_o his_o hand_n and_o observe_v how_o the_o spirit_n speak_v evident_o in_o this_o and_o that_o kind_n and_o it_o will_v be_v a_o notable_a mean_n to_o help_v thou_o to_o grow_v confident_a and_o certain_a that_o all_o thy_o prayer_n be_v hear_v now_o many_o a_o christian_a soul_n fall_v short_a of_o this_o he_o consider_v not_o the_o atonement_n of_o christ_n in_o his_o prayer_n but_o many_o time_n thus_o stand_v the_o case_n with_o they_o there_o be_v much_o desolutenesse_n in_o their_o life_n and_o looseness_n and_o fearlesnesse_n in_o their_o heart_n before_o god_n rejoice_v not_o with_o tremble_v god_n see_v his_o servant_n loose_v in_o their_o obedience_n and_o when_o disobedient_a they_o seek_v not_o to_o christ_n for_o atonement_n whence_o it_o be_v that_o many_o time_n they_o be_v so_o full_a of_o doubt_n use_v 3_o of_o much_o consolation_n to_o all_o those_o that_o believe_v on_o the_o name_n of_o the_o lord_n jesus_n and_o make_v use_n of_o these_o bless_a mean_n this_o be_v our_o confidence_n that_o whatsoever_o petition_n we_o ask_v he_o hear_v we_o and_o we_o know_v it_o see_v how_o comfortable_a a_o christian_n estate_n be_v he_o grow_v certain_a not_o only_o of_o his_o own_o salvation_n but_o he_o be_v certain_a of_o the_o hear_n and_o grant_v of_o all_o his_o
