religion_n be_v always_o predominant_a in_o we_o and_o this_o will_v be_v a_o principle_n of_o life_n in_o we_o a_o principle_n of_o divine_a sensation_n and_o joy_n when_o this_o body_n shall_v tumble_v into_o dust._n vi_o if_o death_n be_v our_o put_v off_o these_o body_n than_o the_o resurrection_n from_o the_o dead_a be_v the_o reunion_n of_o soul_n and_o body_n the_o soul_n do_v not_o die_v and_o therefore_o can_v be_v say_v to_o rise_v again_o from_o the_o dead_a but_o it_o be_v the_o body_n which_o like_o seed_n fall_v into_o the_o earth_n and_o spring_v up_o again_o more_o beautiful_a and_o glorious_a at_o the_o resurrection_n of_o the_o iust_o to_o believe_v the_o resurrection_n of_o the_o body_n or_o of_o the_o flesh_n and_o to_o believe_v another_o life_n after_o this_o be_v two_o very_a different_a thing_n the_o heathen_n believe_v a_o future_a state_n but_o never_o dream_v of_o the_o resurrection_n of_o the_o body_n which_o be_v the_o peculiar_a article_n of_o the_o christian_a faith._n and_o yet_o it_o be_v the_o resurrection_n of_o our_o body_n which_o be_v our_o victory_n and_o triumph_n over_o death_n for_o death_n be_v the_o punishment_n of_o adam_n sin_n and_o those_o who_o be_v in_o a_o separate_a state_n still_o suffer_v the_o curse_n of_o the_o law_n dust_n thou_o be_v and_o to_o dust_n thou_o shall_v return_v christ_n come_v to_o be_v destroy_v be_v death_n that_o be_v by_o the_o resurrection_n of_o the_o dead_a as_o appear_v from_o the_o whole_a scope_n of_o the_o place_n and_o be_v particular_o express_v 54_o 55_o etc._n etc._n so_o when_o this_o corruptible_a shall_v have_v put_v on_o incorruption_n and_o this_o mortal_a shall_v have_v put_v on_o immortality_n then_o shall_v be_v bring_v to_o pass_v that_o say_v which_o be_v write_v death_n be_v swallow_v up_o in_o victory_n o_o death_n where_o be_v thy_o sting_n o_o grave_n where_o be_v thy_o victory_n the_o sting_n of_o death_n be_v sin_n and_o the_o strength_n of_o sin_n be_v the_o law_n but_o bless_v be_v god_n who_o have_v give_v we_o the_o victory_n through_o our_o lord_n jesus_n christ._n this_o be_v the_o perfection_n and_o consummation_n it_o be_v that_o god_n public_o own_v we_o for_o his_o son_n when_o he_o raise_v our_o dead_a body_n into_o a_o glorious_a and_o immortal_a life_n and_o beside_o this_o i_o think_v we_o have_v no_o reason_n to_o doubt_v but_o the_o reunion_n of_o soul_n and_o body_n will_v be_v a_o new_a addition_n of_o happiness_n and_o glory_n for_o though_o we_o can_v guess_v what_o the_o pleasure_n of_o glorify_a body_n be_v yet_o sure_o we_o can_v imagine_v that_o when_o these_o earthly_a body_n be_v the_o instrument_n of_o so_o many_o pleasure_n a_o spiritual_a and_o glorify_a body_n shall_v be_v of_o no_o use_n a_o soul_n and_o body_n can_v be_v vital_o unite_v but_o there_o must_v be_v a_o sympathy_n between_o they_o and_o receive_v mutual_a impression_n from_o each_o other_o and_o then_o we_o need_v not_o doubt_n but_o that_o such_o glorify_a body_n will_v high_o minister_v though_o in_o a_o way_n unknown_a to_o we_o to_o the_o pleasure_n of_o a_o divine_a and_o perfect_a soul_n will_v infinite_o more_o contribute_v to_o the_o divine_a pleasure_n of_o the_o mind_n than_o these_o earthly_a body_n do_v to_o our_o sensual_a pleasure_n that_o all_o who_o have_v this_o hope_n again_o immortal_a and_o glorious_a we_o must_v begin_v the_o cleanse_n and_o purification_n of_o they_o here_o we_o must_v be_v sanctify_v throughout_o both_o in_o body_n soul_n and_o spirit_n 1_o life_n but_o the_o high_a honour_n we_o can_v do_v these_o body_n and_o the_o noble_a use_n we_o can_v put_v they_o to_o be_v to_o offer_v they_o up_o in_o a_o proper_a sense_n a_o sacrifice_n to_o god_n that_o be_v willing_o and_o cheerful_o to_o die_v for_o god_n when_o he_o call_v we_o to_o suffer_v first_o to_o offer_v up_o our_o soul_n to_o god_n in_o the_o pure_a flame_n of_o love_n and_o devotion_n and_o then_o free_o to_o give_v up_o our_o body_n to_o the_o stake_n or_o to_o the_o gibbet_n to_o wild_a beast_n or_o more_o savage_a men._n this_o vindicate_v our_o body_n from_o the_o natural_a shame_n and_o reproach_n of_o death_n what_o we_o call_v a_o natural_a death_n be_v very_o inglorious_a it_o be_v a_o mark_n of_o dishonour_n because_o it_o be_v a_o punishment_n of_o sin_n such_o body_n at_o best_a be_v sow_v in_o dishonour_n and_o corruption_n as_o st._n paul_n speak_v but_o to_o die_v a_o martyr_n to_o fall_v a_o sacrifice_n to_o god_n this_o be_v a_o glorious_a death_n this_o be_v not_o to_o yield_v to_o the_o law_n of_o mortality_n to_o necessity_n and_o fate_n but_o to_o give_v back_o our_o body_n to_o god_n who_o give_v they_o to_o we_o and_o he_o will_v keep_v that_o which_o we_o have_v commit_v to_o his_o trust_n to_o a_o glorious_a resurrection_n and_o it_o will_v be_v a_o surprise_v and_o astonish_a glory_n with_o which_o such_o body_n shall_v rise_v again_o as_o have_v suffer_v for_o their_o lord_n for_o if_o we_o suffer_v with_o he_o we_o shall_v also_o be_v glorify_v together_o which_o seem_v to_o imply_v that_o those_o shall_v near_o resemble_v the_o glory_n of_o christ_n himself_o who_o suffer_v as_o he_o do_v this_o be_v the_o way_n to_o make_v our_o body_n immortal_a and_o glorious_a we_o can_v keep_v they_o long_o here_o they_o be_v corruptible_a body_n and_o will_v tumble_v into_o dust_n we_o must_v part_v with_o they_o for_o a_o while_n and_o if_o ever_o we_o expect_v and_o desire_v a_o happy_a meeting_n again_o we_o must_v use_v they_o with_o modesty_n and_o reverence_n now_o we_o dishonour_v our_o body_n in_o this_o world_n when_o we_o make_v they_o instrument_n of_o wickedness_n and_o lust_n and_o lay_v a_o eternal_a foundation_n of_o shame_n and_o infamy_n for_o they_o in_o the_o next_o world_n it_o be_v a_o mortal_a and_o kill_a love_n to_o cherish_v the_o fleshly_a principle_n to_o make_v provision_n for_o the_o flesh_n to_o fulfil_v the_o lust_n thereof_o but_o if_o you_o love_v your_o body_n make_v they_o immortal_a that_o though_o they_o die_v they_o may_v rise_v again_o out_o of_o their_o grave_n with_o a_o youthful_a vigour_n and_o beauty_n that_o they_o may_v live_v for_o ever_o without_o pain_n or_o sickness_n without_o the_o decay_n of_o age_n or_o the_o interruption_n of_o sleep_n or_o the_o fatigue_n and_o weariness_n of_o labour_n without_o want_v either_o food_n or_o raiment_n without_o the_o least_o remain_v of_o corruption_n without_o know_v what_o it_o be_v to_o tempt_v or_o to_o be_v tempt_v without_o the_o least_o uneasy_a thought_n the_o least_o disappointment_n the_o least_o care_n in_o the_o full_a and_o blissful_a enjoyment_n of_o the_o eternal_a and_o sovereign_a good._n sect_n iii_o death_n consider_v as_o our_o entrance_n upon_o a_o new_a and_o unknown_a state_n of_o life_n iii_o let_v we_o now_o consider_v death_n as_o it_o be_v a_o entrance_n upon_o a_o new_a and_o unknown_a state_n of_o life_n for_o it_o be_v a_o new_a thing_n to_o we_o to_o live_v without_o these_o body_n it_o be_v what_o we_o have_v never_o try_v yet_o and_o we_o can_v guess_v how_o we_o shall_v feel_v ourselves_o when_o we_o be_v strip_v of_o flesh_n and_o blood_n what_o entertainment_n we_o shall_v find_v in_o that_o place_n where_o there_o be_v neither_o eat_v nor_o drink_v neither_o marry_v nor_o give_v in_o marriage_n what_o kind_n of_o
heaven_n nothing_o but_o the_o hope_n and_o fear_n of_o the_o next_o world_n can_v enforce_v these_o duty_n on_o we_o and_o this_o justify_v the_o wisdom_n and_o goodness_n of_o god_n in_o make_v the_o present_a exercise_n of_o these_o virtue_n necessary_a to_o our_o future_a reward_n i_o shall_v only_o add_v that_o whatever_o complaint_n bad_a man_n may_v make_v that_o their_o future_a become_v of_o he_o in_o the_o next_o world_n as_o no_o man_n can_v have_v be_v upon_o this_o supposal_n for_o how_o can_v any_o man_n know_v what_o his_o reward_n shall_v be_v when_o he_o be_v so_o far_o from_o have_v do_v his_o work_n that_o he_o know_v not_o what_o he_o be_v to_o do_v till_o he_o come_v into_o the_o next_o world._n but_o now_o since_o we_o shall_v be_v reward_v according_a to_o what_o we_o have_v do_v in_o this_o body_n every_o man_n certain_o know_v what_o will_v make_v he_o happy_a or_o miserable_a in_o the_o next_o world_n and_o it_o be_v his_o own_o fault_n if_o he_o do_v not_o live_v so_o as_o to_o secure_v immortal_a life_n and_o what_o a_o bless_a state_n be_v this_o to_o have_v so_o joyful_a a_o prospect_n beyond_o the_o grave_a and_o to_o put_v off_o these_o body_n with_o the_o certain_a hope_n of_o a_o glorious_a resurrection_n this_o i_o think_v be_v sufficient_a to_o vindicate_v the_o wisdom_n and_o goodness_n of_o god_n in_o make_v this_o
