though_o heaven_n and_o earth_n shall_v meet_v be_v not_o so_o much_o trouble_v certain_o brethren_n in_o these_o great_a fear_n among_o we_o that_o you_o be_v scare_v at_o everything_o it_o be_v affliction_n in_o the_o world_n sorrow_n fear_n and_o disgrace_n and_o persecution_n be_v not_o so_o terrible_a as_o this_o that_o i_o be_o in_o such_o a_o condition_n that_o i_o can_v look_v up_o from_o either_o abundance_n of_o ignorance_n or_o atheism_n or_o desperate_a slight_n of_o god_n one_o of_o these_o three_o cause_n 1_v ordinary_o these_o thought_n that_o man_n have_v of_o trouble_n of_o conscience_n to_o be_v no_o great_a matter_n than_o such_o melanchoby_a conceit_n they_o do_v come_v from_o gross_a ignorance_n thou_o know_v not_o god_n thou_o know_v not_o what_o it_o be_v for_o a_o soul_n to_o have_v to_o deal_v with_o a_o infinite_a deity_n thou_o never_o yet_o have_v a_o real_a sight_n of_o a_o infinite_a deity_n with_o who_o thou_o have_v to_o deal_v and_o it_o be_v a_o sad_a thing_n to_o think_v that_o man_n and_o woman_n shall_v live_v a_o long_a time_n and_o never_o in_o all_o their_o life_n come_v to_o have_v a_o real_a sight_n of_o that_o infinite_a majesty_n and_o deity_n with_o who_o we_o have_v to_o do_v it_o come_v from_o ignorance_n of_o the_o nature_n of_o sin_n thou_o do_v not_o know_v what_o sin_n be_v god_n have_v yet_o blind_v thy_o eye_n that_o thou_o shall_v sin_v but_o not_o know_v what_o sin_n be_v certain_o thou_o do_v not_o know_v the_o law_n of_o god_n the_o spiritualness_n of_o it_o and_o the_o dreadfulness_n of_o the_o wrath_n of_o god_n reveal_v against_o sin_n thou_o do_v not_o know_v what_o eternty_n mean_v thou_o do_v not_o apprehend_v what_o it_o be_v for_o a_o soul_n to_o be_v in_o hazard_n of_o miscarry_v in_o man_n that_o make_v many_o have_v such_o slight_a thought_n of_o trouble_n of_o conscience_n for_o sin_n 2_o again_o if_o not_o from_o ignorance_n yet_o from_o atheism_n for_o many_o man_n that_o seem_v to_o have_v excellent_a part_n and_o be_v not_o ignorant_a sot_n and_o yet_o have_v slight_a thought_n of_o trouble_n of_o conscience_n for_o sin_n it_o be_v not_o so_o much_o to_o be_v wonder_v at_o to_o see_v a_o company_n of_o ignorant_a sot_n that_o know_v nothing_o of_o god_n and_o the_o principle_n of_o religion_n that_o they_o shall_v have_v such_o slight_a thought_n and_o wonder_v what_o man_n mean_v to_o be_v trouble_v for_o sin_n but_o man_n that_o have_v good_a part_n perhaps_o man_n of_o great_a gift_n and_o pregnant_a wit_n and_o great_a scholar_n and_o yet_o they_o have_v slight_a thought_n of_o trouble_n of_o conscience_n for_o sin_n now_o in_o they_o usual_o the_o cause_n be_v atheism_n or_o slight_v of_o god_n woeful_a desperate_a atheism_n be_v in_o the_o heart_n of_o many_o great_a scholar_n many_o pregnant_a wit_n many_o that_o wâ—ll_n speak_v much_o of_o religion_n yet_o they_o be_v desperate_a atheist_n in_o their_o heart_n therefore_o from_o thence_o it_o come_v therefore_o when_o you_o see_v learned_a man_n understand_v man_n go_v on_o in_o such_o and_o such_o sinful_a way_n and_o slight_v all_o that_o be_v say_v concern_v the_o evil_a of_o sin_n do_v not_o wonder_v at_o it_o for_o woeful_a desperate_a atheism_n lie_v under_o abundance_n of_o knowledge_n a_o great_a deal_n of_o knowledge_n learning_n wit_n and_o part_n and_o yet_o multitude_n with_o woeful_a aggravation_n as_o against_o light_n against_o mean_n against_o vow_n certain_o if_o sin_n be_v such_o a_o evil_n in_o its_o own_o nature_n though_o but_o any_o one_o if_o god_n shall_v set_v but_o the_o least_o sin_n but_o of_o thought_n upon_o a_o man_n heart_n as_o he_o may_v do_v he_o will_v â—ink_v the_o stoutest-heart_n down_o to_o the_o bottomless_a gulf_n of_o
