true_o call_v defilement_n be_v within_o and_o from_o within_o else_o the_o devil_n himself_o can_v not_o defile_v we_o so_o no_o outward_a thing_n can_v inward_o purify_v and_o then_o not_o purify_n it_o can_v give_v but_o poor_a direction_n to_o our_o desire_n second_o nor_o be_v they_o of_o use_n as_o we_o conceive_v for_o the_o excite_v our_o affection_n these_o be_v warm_a and_o hot_a and_o do_v heat_n and_o warm_v but_o still_o by_o some_o working_n from_o within_o first_o affection_n be_v like_a fire_n it_o be_v hot_a itself_o first_o before_o it_o heat_n other_o we_o must_v be_v affect_v before_o we_o can_v affect_v now_o we_o can_v see_v how_o a_o dead_a powerlesse_a form_n which_o as_o one_o have_v it_o nourish_v the_o hid-man_n of_o the_o heart_n no_o more_o than_o stockfish_n nourish_v the_o body_n and_o that_o give_v no_o more_o nourishment_n say_v erasmus_n than_o a_o stone_n do_v can_v excite_v affection_n unless_o to_o itself_o because_o so_o exceed_o please_v to_o flesh_n and_o blood_n never_o cross_v in_o the_o least_o the_o desire_n of_o the_o same_o quest_n 3._o but_o be_v not_o this_o to_o take_v the_o generality_n of_o man_n quite_o off_o from_o pray_v answ_n no_o to_o our_o seem_n it_o putt_v they_o on_o upon_o prayer_n to_o pray_v that_o they_o may_v be_v enable_v to_o pray_v in_o a_o deep_a sense_n of_o sin_n and_o the_o need_v they_o have_v of_o the_o blood_n of_o christ_n to_o purify_v their_o heart_n and_o pacify_v their_o conscience_n all_o which_o they_o be_v to_o pray_v for_o quest_n 4._o but_o pray_v they_o can_v unless_o they_o pray_v by_o the_o book_n visible_a or_o invisible_a answ_n to_o this_o we_o say_v that_o to_o our_o seem_n if_o they_o do_v pray_v by_o the_o book_n they_o do_v not_o pray_v at_o all_o in_o god_n account_n and_o true_o those_o man_n be_v bâ—lder_a with_o god_n than_o they_o dare_v be_v with_o man_n have_v they_o offend_v a_o great_a lord_n they_o must_v acknowledge_v the_o offence_n with_o their_o own_o mouth_n and_o not_o another_o for_o they_o and_o have_v right_v their_o offend_a lord_n if_o he_o will_v have_v it_o so_o with_o their_o own_o hand_n and_o glad_a with_o all_o their_o heart_n that_o the_o offend_a lord_n will_v be_v so_o accord_v but_o we_o be_v bold_a with_o god_n though_o who_o make_v we_o so_o but_o our_o own_o shameless_a impudent_a spirit_n we_o can_v
