throw_v he_o into_o the_o worst_a condition_n that_o can_v be_v for_o body_n or_o soul_n and_o shall_v say_v what_o think_v thou_o of_o i_o now_o have_v thou_o any_o hard_a thought_n of_o i_o say_v that_o be_v good_a or_o necessary_a in_o the_o law_n and_o much_o more_o that_o it_o be_v sufficient_a in_o all_o respect_n for_o a_o christian_n if_o he_o be_v under_o grace_n there_o he_o shall_v bright_a and_o high_o that_o be_v the_o reason_n why_o a_o man_n under_o grace_n be_v bring_v into_o full_a obedience_n to_o a_o free_a service_n than_o a_o man_n under_o the_o law_n beside_o second_o when_o a_o man_n be_v under_o grace_n there_o be_v a_o kind_n of_o ingenuity_n a_o spiritual_a ingenuity_n of_o the_o heart_n yet_o though_o it_o may_v be_v there_o be_v not_o so_o many_o covenant_n and_o resolution_n and_o vow_n and_o the_o like_a yet_o there_o be_v a_o kind_n of_o ingenuity_n that_o understand_v the_o grace_n of_o god_n he_o can_v sin_v as_o another_o do_v that_o be_v under_o the_o law_n and_o that_o be_v the_o meaning_n of_o those_o phrase_n of_o the_o apostle_n how_o abhorrent_n such_o a_o thing_n will_v be_v as_o for_o instance_n shall_v we_o continue_v in_o sin_n much_o upon_o the_o creature_n but_o when_o the_o soul_n grow_v fond_a of_o god_n no_o creature_n or_o rattle_v will_v serve_v if_o god_n put_v the_o creature_n into_o his_o hand_n he_o be_v glad_a but_o if_o god_n be_v away_o nothing_o will_v serve_v he_o as_o a_o child_n that_o be_v fond_a of_o his_o mother_n give_v he_o a_o rattle_n or_o a_o cake_n while_o he_o be_v in_o her_o hand_n he_o be_v glad_a but_o nothing_o will_v still_v he_o without_o she_o a_o three_o thing_n be_v this_o there_o be_v a_o exceed_a boldness_n in_o a_o fond_a child_n to_o ask_v any_o thing_n of_o his_o father_n true_o such_o a_o boldness_n as_o be_v rude_a in_o a_o stranger_n a_o child_n will_v sit_v in_o the_o lap_n of_o his_o mother_n and_o snatch_v a_o thing_n out_o of_o her_o hand_n so_o people_n may_v talk_v of_o form_n how_o people_n shall_v pray_v and_o stand_v half_a a_o hour_n confess_v of_o sin_n and_o so_o come_v on_o by_o degree_n but_o one_o that_o be_v fond_a of_o god_n with_o a_o holy_a fondness_n he_o know_v he_o may_v leap_v into_o his_o father_n lap_n at_o any_o time_n and_o fall_v into_o his_o arm_n and_o ask_v any_o thing_n without_o court_v and_o compliment_n there_o be_v some_o saint_n that_o can_v at_o any_o time_n get_v to_o god_n and_o ask_v any_o thing_n but_o they_o have_v much_o ado_n to_o set_v their_o heart_n and_o to_o get_v off_o the_o guilt_n that_o be_v between_o they_o and_o god_n as_o a_o cloud_n they_o have_v much_o ado_n to_o get_v a_o little_a adoption_n to_o call_v god_n father_n and_o to_o lay_v hold_n on_o the_o promise_n but_o there_o be_v such_o a_o temper_n of_o holy_a fondness_n that_o there_o need_v not_o all_o or_o any_o of_o this_o god_n and_o the_o soul_n be_v so_o well_o acquaint_v and_o always_o together_o that_o as_o soon_o as_o ever_o he_o come_v he_o can_v ask_v any_o thing_n and_o in_o a_o holy_a boldness_n snatch_v it_o for_o the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n be_v take_v by_o violence_n therefore_o say_v god_n concern_v my_o son_n and_o daughter_n command_v you_o i_o a_o child_n can_v command_v his_o father_n and_o say_v i_o must_v have_v a_o new_a coat_n i_o must_v have_v a_o new_a book_n or_o i_o glory_n to_o come_v into_o they_o and_o i_o can_v wish_v last_o that_o you_o will_v help_v poor_a bristol_n people_n a_o little_a as_o much_o as_o you_o can_v to_o settle_v they_o comfortable_o in_o their_o habitation_n according_a as_o the_o parliament_n give_v order_n for_o they_o will_v find_v naked_a wall_n there_o and_o if_o there_o be_v any_o thing_n the_o plague_n have_v be_v there_o it_o friend_n that_o live_v here_o and_o it_o may_v be_v more_o understanding_n than_o they_o have_v and_o now_o be_v the_o time_n if_o you_o can_v do_v any_o thing_n help_v they_o a_o little_a in_o that_o otherwise_o for_o they_o to_o go_v home_o among_o a_o company_n of_o carnal_a alderman_n and_o carnal_a common_a counselman_n and_o carnal_a minister_n what_o help_n shall_v they_o have_v therefore_o pray_v for_o they_o and_o help_v they_o as_o god_n shall_v give_v you_o opportunity_n exposition_n and_o
we_o 1._o in_o dictate_v a_o world_n of_o prayer_n to_o we_o that_o you_o may_v see_v the_o greatness_n of_o his_o power_n what_o a_o world_n of_o prayer_n do_v the_o spirit_n of_o god_n put_v into_o thy_o heart_n that_o thou_o be_v never_o able_a to_o utter_v with_o thy_o mouth_n all_o the_o wisdom_n in_o the_o world_n can_v make_v one_o spiritual_a petition_n we_o may_v make_v form_n of_o the_o lord_n shall_v hear_v only_o those_o prayer_n that_o thou_o make_v with_o thy_o mouth_n thou_o will_v be_v but_o a_o poor_a man_n but_o the_o lord_n respect_v the_o prayer_n of_o the_o heart_n therefore_o i_o say_v to_o have_v power_n to_o make_v one_o prayer_n and_o to_o have_v such_o innumerable_a sigh_n and_o groan_n in_o the_o soul_n too_o it_o must_v be_v a_o exceed_o great_a power_n second_o consider_v this_o how_o much_o the_o spirit_n of_o not_o 2._o in_o supply_v we_o when_o we_o pray_v not_o god_n do_v for_o thou_o and_o in_o thou_o that_o thou_o never_o pray_v for_o nor_o never_o can_v pray_v for_o no_o not_o so_o much_o as_o in_o heart_n if_o the_o lord_n do_v answer_v all_o the_o prayer_n of_o heart_n and_o tongue_n that_o we_o make_v throughout_o all_o the_o year_n a_o man_n will_v think_v that_o be_v a_o great_a matter_n but_o sure_o they_o be_v so_o few_o consider_v our_o want_n and_o they_o be_v so_o confuse_v and_o blind_a that_o i_o be_o confident_a if_o god_n shall_v deal_v with_o thy_o soul_n and_o i_o according_a to_o our_o prayer_n all_o the_o year_n we_o shall_v be_v miserable_a creature_n all_o our_o life_n god_n exercise_v we_o to_o pray_v and_o many_o of_o they_o he_o answer_v in_o their_o kind_n and_o he_o be_v please_v with_o our_o obedience_n in_o every_o thing_n but_o sure_o god_n have_v a_o high_a rule_n of_o do_v we_o good_a and_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n work_v in_o a_o more_o methodical_a and_o wise_a and_o merciful_a and_o bless_a way_n than_o we_o can_v pray_v i_o have_v sometime_o wonder_v that_o god_n have_v make_v promise_n to_o answer_v many_o prayer_n that_o we_o make_v but_o i_o wonder_v more_o that_o god_n shall_v grant_v thing_n that_o we_o pray_v not_o for_o this_o be_v the_o exceed_a greatness_n of_o his_o power_n three_o consider_v the_o exceed_a greatness_n of_o his_o inward_o 3._o by_o teach_v we_o inward_o power_n in_o this_o respect_n in_o his_o teach_n how_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n teach_v his_o people_n and_o servant_n he_o teach_v they_o above_o what_o they_o be_v teach_v outward_o by_o man_n as_o thus_o cast_v with_o thyself_o suppose_v thou_o have_v every_o sermon_n that_o thou_o have_v hear_v in_o thy_o life_n and_o every_o lecture_n that_o thou_o have_v hear_v on_o the_o week_n day_n and_o on_o the_o lord_n day_n that_o thou_o have_v they_o in_o order_n and_o method_n do_v a_o man_n will_v think_v such_o a_o one_o to_o be_v a_o very_a know_v man_n truly_n if_o thou_o have_v it_o so_o thou_o may_v be_v a_o miserable_a confuse_a blind_a man_n for_o all_o that_o for_o in_o the_o heart_n of_o a_o saint_n and_o clear_v thing_n and_o order_n thing_n and_o assure_v thing_n and_o settle_v thing_n that_o be_v right_a and_o discover_v thing_n that_o be_v not_o and_o enlarge_v and_o sweeten_v and_o quicken_v they_o that_o it_o may_v be_v a_o man_n in_o hear_v one_o sermon_n of_o a_o hour_n long_o may_v be_v teach_v more_o than_o another_o man_n in_o hear_v it_o be_v a_o wonderful_a thing_n to_o see_v how_o quick_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n will_v make_v a_o scholar_n ripe_a how_o in_o a_o quarter_n of_o a_o year_n nay_o in_o a_o month_n almost_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n will_v fill_v he_o with_o all_o spiritual_a learning_n whereas_o the_o best_a preacher_n in_o the_o world_n let_v he_o preach_v concise_o and_o exact_o in_o a_o natural_a way_n
