nakedness_n and_o we_o not_o a_o whit_n careful_a to_o provide_v for_o it_o the_o bread_n of_o life_n the_o food_n of_o life_n to_o relieve_v his_o hunger_n nor_o the_o righteousness_n of_o christ_n to_o clothe_v the_o nakedness_n of_o it_o lest_o it_o die_v eternal_o we_o be_v not_o a_o whit_n careful_a for_o that_o because_o we_o feel_v nothing_o at_o all_o the_o misery_n &_o danger_n that_o never_o so_o much_o poverty_n and_o such_o exclamation_n and_o outcry_n for_o the_o pinch_a of_o the_o body_n as_o be_v marvellous_a and_o i_o partly_o believe_v they_o to_o be_v true_a but_o in_o the_o mean_a time_n in_o this_o great_a misery_n and_o peril_n of_o our_o soul_n in_o the_o great_a hunger_n of_o our_o soul_n who_o do_v exclaim_v upon_o that_o skant_o the_o hundred_o person_n and_o although_o it_o be_v exclaim_v upon_o yet_o it_o be_v but_o cold_o look_v unto_o for_o the_o remedy_n of_o it_o other_o thing_n yet_o touch_v the_o hunger_n and_o harm_n of_o the_o body_n they_o be_v look_v unto_o to_o be_v remedy_v and_o this_o hunger_n of_o our_o soul_n which_o bring_v to_o eternal_a death_n be_v smooth_o pass_v over_o i_o can_v not_o see_v but_o it_o be_v the_o lord_n just_a the_o lord_n and_o yet_o for_o all_o that_o shall_v have_v their_o portion_n with_o the_o devil_n in_o the_o burn_a lake_n man_n think_v it_o not_o so_o weighty_a a_o matter_n because_o they_o do_v not_o see_v in_o what_o peril_n &_o danger_n they_o stand_v in_o they_o think_v themselves_o in_o good_a case_n because_o they_o see_v a_o great_a number_n worse_o than_o they_o they_o think_v they_o shall_v do_v as_o well_o as_o the_o rest_n and_o they_o be_v content_a to_o take_v part_n with_o the_o rest_n and_o because_o satan_n have_v blind_v they_o they_o think_v if_o they_o be_v void_a of_o great_a notorious_a crime_n such_o as_o be_v punish_v with_o death_n by_o the_o magistrate_n treason_n murder_n theft_n and_o such_o like_a they_o think_v god_n can_v not_o just_o condemn_v they_o what_o say_v they_o i_o labour_v true_o for_o my_o live_n and_o i_o thank_v god_n i_o be_o no_o thief_n nor_o murderer_n i_o trust_v i_o shall_v do_v well_o enough_o in_o the_o day_n of_o judgement_n so_o he_o think_v because_o he_o be_v not_o a_o outrageous_a sinner_n his_o other_o sin_n be_v but_o small_a petty_a sin_n &_o that_o god_n must_v needs_o forgive_v and_o so_o he_o flatter_v himself_o and_o because_o he_o see_v not_o the_o danger_n of_o his_o sin_n he_o never_o care_v to_o provide_v the_o remedy_n but_o alas_o it_o be_v far_o otherwise_o the_o punishment_n even_o of_o the_o least_o sin_n if_o it_o be_v but_o in_o thought_n be_v the_o eternal_a curse_n of_o god_n and_o his_o everlasting_a vengeance_n the_o lord_n god_n himself_o have_v appoint_v it_o 26._o which_o can_v not_o go_v back_o 10._o curse_a say_v he_o be_v every_o one_o which_o do_v not_o fulfil_v all_o thing_n that_o be_v write_v in_o the_o book_n of_o the_o law_n 22._o where_o be_v now_o your_o small_a sin_n earthly_a court_n in_o the_o mean_a time_n because_o i_o will_v not_o pass_v my_o hour_n i_o do_v here_o end_v this_o matter_n desire_v you_o in_o the_o fear_n of_o god_n good_a brethren_n to_o apply_v unto_o yourselves_o all_o that_o have_v be_v here_o

never_o forget_v but_o still_o almost_o as_o fresh_a in_o memory_n as_o when_o they_o be_v new_a speak_v those_o word_n which_o be_v speak_v by_o a_o love_a father_n upon_o his_o death_n bed_n unto_o his_o child_n take_v great_a effect_n in_o a_o good_a child_n if_o a_o tender_a father_n at_o the_o point_n of_o death_n do_v call_v his_o son_n unto_o he_o and_o utter_v these_o or_o such_o like_a word_n oh_o son_n thou_o seee_v in_o what_o case_n i_o be_o i_o be_o even_o now_o ready_a to_o go_v from_o thou_o these_o be_v the_o last_o word_n that_o i_o shall_v speak_v unto_o thou_o remember_v the_o best_a of_o they_o to_o feel_v of_o the_o love_a correction_n of_o their_o love_a father_n for_o the_o tame_n of_o their_o wild_a flesh_n but_o because_o in_o the_o house_n of_o god_n all_o be_v not_o child_n which_o have_v the_o outward_a countenance_n of_o child_n but_o there_o be_v a_o great_a company_n of_o dissemble_a hypocrite_n which_o take_v the_o liberty_n of_o the_o gospel_n to_o live_v after_o the_o flesh_n &_o do_v nothing_o but_o only_o make_v a_o mock_n of_o all_o love_a kind_n of_o deal_v &_o laugh_v in_o their_o sleeve_n when_o they_o hear_v any_o such_o exhortation_n because_o they_o will_v not_o be_v teach_v by_o fair_a mean_n and_o as_o you_o will_v say_v by_o manner_n of_o entreaty_n therefore_o the_o lord_n jesus_n for_o their_o cause_n especial_o deal_v whether_o we_o will_v or_o no_o not_o at_o our_o pleasure_n but_o at_o the_o pleasure_n of_o the_o commander_n unless_o we_o be_v guilty_a of_o his_o curse_n in_o his_o judgement_n seat_n so_o than_o mercy_n see_v god_n in_o justice_n must_v punish_v their_o sin_n or_o how_o or_o by_o what_o mean_v they_o hope_v to_o be_v save_v by_o christ_n these_o thing_n i_o say_v they_o be_v utter_o ignorant_a of_o and_o you_o shall_v see_v not_o only_o simple_a soul_n as_o they_o call_v they_o ignorant_a of_o these_o point_n but_o common_o even_o those_o which_o otherwise_o have_v great_a gift_n of_o wit_n &_o skill_n of_o thing_n in_o the_o world_n you_o shall_v see_v a_o company_n that_o be_v so_o skilful_a in_o any_o matter_n almost_o which_o be_v to_o be_v skan_v before_o a_o mortal_a judge_n that_o they_o will_v go_v near_o to_o go_v beyond_o a_o good_a skilful_a lawyer_n &_o put_v he_o to_o his_o pinch_n &_o yet_o notwithstanding_o examine_v they_o of_o this_o law_n point_n how_o they_o be_v save_v in_o the_o day_n of_o judgement_n they_o have_v no_o wit_n to_o answer_v it_o they_o be_v not_o book_n learned_a forsooth_o as_o though_o only_a book-learned_a man_n be_v save_v &_o not_o the_o simple_a as_o well_o nay_o come_v also_o to_o those_o that_o have_v excellent_a gift_n to_o serve_v in_o the_o common_a wealth_n &_o seem_v to_o be_v of_o great_a countenance_n &_o wisdom_n and_o i_o warrant_v you_o if_o due_a examination_n be_v make_v they_o shall_v be_v find_v to_o be_v ignorant_a in_o this_o point_n &_o not_o to_o know_v the_o way_n and_o mean_n of_o their_o salvation_n i_o speak_v that_o which_o i_o know_v it_o be_v a_o lamentable_a thing_n to_o see_v it_o i_o have_v deal_v with_o such_o man_n divers_a time_n and_o have_v find_v they_o utter_o ignorant_a in_o the_o knowledge_n of_o their_o salvation_n &_o yet_o otherwise_o man_n of_o great_a wisdom_n wherefore_o the_o case_n be_v too_o lamentable_a that_o that_o thing_n which_o the_o most_o simple_a aught_o to_o know_v even_o the_o most_o excellent_a be_v ignorant_a of_o nay_o there_o be_v yet_o a_o further_a thing_n that_o augment_v the_o matter_n and_o make_v it_o worse_o namely_o that_o man_n be_v not_o ignorant_a of_o this_o so_o needful_a a_o thing_n but_o also_o they_o be_v altogether_o reckless_a and_o have_v no_o care_n to_o seek_v to_o know_v it_o we_o have_v never_o do_v with_o cark_n and_o care_v for_o our_o body_n we_o ride_v we_o run_v we_o dig_v we_o delve_v we_o labour_v we_o toil_n and_o all_o we_o think_v too_o little_a to_o preserve_v our_o body_n and_o in_o the_o mean_a time_n what_o shall_v become_v of_o our_o soul_n and_o body_n in_o the_o day_n of_o judgement_n we_o have_v no_o regard_n and_o yet_o every_o one_o of_o we_o will_v confess_v that_o we_o ought_v to_o be_v more_o careful_a for_o our_o soul_n then_o for_o our_o body_n more_o careful_a for_o the_o life_n everlasting_a then_o for_o this_o present_a momentary_a life_n and_o yet_o contrary_a to_o our_o own_o conscience_n contrary_a to_o our_o own_o knowledge_n we_o leave_v the_o principal_n not_o regard_v &_o bend_v our_o whole_a force_n wit_n skill_n and_o travel_v to_o the_o other_o that_o endure_v but_o a_o moment_n in_o comparison_n of_o the_o other_o what_o do_v we_o now_o hereby_o good_a brethren_n but_o only_o make_v ourselves_o unexcusable_a before_o the_o throne_n of_o god_n nay_o further_o even_o all_o the_o whole_a part_n of_o we_o both_o of_o soul_n and_o body_n which_o god_n have_v give_v we_o to_o be_v most_o chief_o exercise_v about_o the_o heavenly_a life_n we_o make_v they_o even_o so_o many_o witness_n against_o we_o in_o the_o day_n of_o the_o lord_n because_o we_o have_v abuse_v they_o to_o serve_v our_o turn_n in_o this_o bodily_a life_n far_o above_o the_o heavenly_a life_n so_o that_o the_o lord_n need_v no_o other_o witness_n against_o we_o to_o condemn_v we_o in_o the_o day_n of_o judgement_n the_o wit_n that_o god_n give_v we_o which_o we_o have_v so_o careful_o use_v to_o devise_v for_o our_o body_n in_o this_o life_n and_o never_o bend_v it_o careful_o to_o seek_v for_o the_o life_n to_o come_v must_v needs_o bear_v record_n against_o we_o in_o the_o day_n of_o judgement_n the_o tongue_n that_o we_o have_v use_v so_o careful_o to_o speak_v and_o crave_v for_o worldly_a thing_n and_o have_v be_v so_o dumb_a in_o heavenly_a thing_n the_o foot_n that_o have_v so_o speedy_o run_v about_o worldly_a gain_n and_o have_v be_v lame_a in_o heavenly_a profit_n the_o ear_n that_o can_v so_o careful_o listen_v after_o worldly_a gain_n and_o be_v deaf_a at_o heavenly_a matter_n and_o to_o be_v short_a all_o the_o whole_a part_n both_o of_o our_o soul_n and_o body_n that_o we_o have_v so_o careful_o and_o miserable_o use_v about_o these_o worldly_a thing_n and_o so_o slack_o use_v about_o heavenly_a thing_n which_o shall_v have_v be_v the_o chief_a all_o these_o i_o say_v shall_v be_v sufficient_a to_o condemn_v we_o before_o our_o god_n when_o he_o shall_v come_v in_o judgement_n it_o stand_v we_o in_o hand_n then_o good_a brethren_n to_o be_v more_o
abundance_n that_o it_o come_v flow_v down_o to_o the_o ground_n the_o weight_n of_o the_o punishment_n of_o our_o sin_n be_v more_o grievous_a than_o man_n do_v think_v let_v we_o not_o then_o flatter_v self_n good_a brethren_n and_o dally_v in_o this_o matter_n with_o our_o god_n bring_v in_o recompense_n and_o satisfaction_n for_o our_o sin_n after_o our_o own_o devise_v it_o will_v not_o come_v to_o our_o conscience_n but_o alas_o when_o we_o must_v answer_v it_o before_o our_o god_n all_o these_o our_o dream_n must_v needs_o vanish_v away_o as_o smoke_n from_o the_o presence_n of_o our_o god_n because_o they_o have_v not_o their_o ground_n upon_o the_o word_n of_o god_n by_o which_o all_o thing_n must_v be_v try_v in_o that_o day_n it_o be_v allege_v we_o before_o the_o great_a judge_n that_o we_o have_v sin_v 48._o we_o confess_v it_o but_o we_o say_v we_o have_v satisfy_v for_o our_o sin_n we_o have_v pine_v our_o body_n with_o fast_v all_o our_o life_n long_o we_o have_v go_v on_o pilgrimage_n barefoot_a and_o bare_a legged_a we_o have_v whip_v our_o body_n till_o the_o blood_n every_o day_n we_o have_v wear_v haircloth_n upon_o our_o body_n and_o this_o we_o have_v do_v for_o a_o recompense_n for_o our_o sin_n god_n answer_v we_o by_o his_o word_n i_o have_v appoint_v the_o due_a recompense_n for_o sin_n my_o everlasting_a curse_n 44._o the_o worm_n that_o never_o die_v the_o torment_n of_o hell_n have_v you_o suffer_v these_o 28._o and_o overcome_v they_o we_o must_v needs_o confess_v no_o but_o we_o say_v yet_o good_a lord_n we_o have_v suffer_v a_o little_a in_o our_o body_n but_o he_o say_v the_o punishment_n which_o i_o appoint_v be_v both_o of_o soul_n and_o body_n everlasting_a and_o therefore_o that_o punishment_n which_o you_o bring_v in_o true_a debt_n in_o deed_n the_o true_a debt_n which_o we_o owe_v our_o god_n in_o deed_n for_o our_o sin_n be_v the_o everlasting_a curse_n of_o god_n which_o never_o have_v end_n it_o be_v not_o a_o certain_a punishment_n of_o the_o body_n for_o a_o certain_a time_n that_o be_v but_o false_a and_o forge_a of_o our_o own_o head_n that_o be_v not_o the_o right_a debt_n be_v it_o not_o a_o intolerable_a thing_n and_o not_o to_o be_v suffer_v before_o a_o mortal_a judge_n when_o as_o the_o right_a debt_n be_v a_o thousand_o pound_n to_o bring_v in_o stead_n thereof_o a_o false_a forge_a weighty_a and_o heavy_a both_o for_o the_o masser_n and_o the_o mass_n itself_o to_o overcome_v the_o torment_n of_o everlasting_a death_n that_o can_v not_o recompense_v god_n there_o for_o our_o sin_n see_v the_o true_a and_o only_a recompense_n be_v to_o undergo_v the_o torment_n of_o hell_n due_a for_o all_o our_o sin_n neither_o can_v their_o forge_a purgatory_n pain_n be_v a_o recompense_n to_o god_n for_o our_o sin_n because_o the_o true_a debt_n which_o must_v be_v answer_v be_v infinite_a and_o without_o end_n the_o full_a punishment_n which_o we_o owe_v for_o our_o sin_n be_v incomprehensible_a and_o infinite_a even_o as_o our_o god_n against_o who_o the_o offence_n be_v commit_v all_o these_o then_o and_o whatsoever_o have_v be_v devise_v by_o man_n will_v fall_v out_o in_o the_o day_n of_o judgement_n to_o be_v no_o payment_n but_o only_o forge_v payment_n and_o so_o we_o find_v always_o guilty_a and_o our_o debt_n unanswerable_a it_o stand_v we_o in_o answer_v at_o our_o hand_n he_o give_v we_o now_o time_n to_o look_v for_o the_o answer_n of_o it_o he_o give_v we_o his_o bless_a word_n wherein_o we_o may_v learn_v how_o to_o answer_v it_o even_o to_o the_o full_a if_o we_o careless_o pass_v over_o this_o time_n of_o mercy_n and_o seek_v not_o for_o this_o gear_n we_o shall_v hereafter_o taste_v of_o his_o judgement_n without_o mercy_n well_o needs_o bind_v god_n to_o give_v we_o heaven_n for_o they_o we_o think_v we_o may_v addle_n heaven_n as_o they_o say_v by_o our_o good_a deed_n but_o the_o answer_n be_v give_v we_o herein_o that_o be_v give_v we_o before_o that_o the_o recompense_n to_o god_n for_o our_o sin_n be_v not_o two_o or_o three_o good_a deed_n no_o not_o twenty_o thousand_o thousand_o but_o the_o curse_n of_o god_n death_n and_o damnation_n that_o must_v be_v sustain_v and_o overcome_v or_o other_o recompense_n to_o god_n be_v there_o none_o true_a it_o be_v that_o the_o lord_n promise_v unto_o we_o our_o head_n as_o that_o that_o be_v new_o do_v or_o speak_v that_o it_o may_v be_v therefore_o unto_o we_o continual_o new_a and_o fresh_a in_o our_o mind_n he_o call_v it_o new_a not_o old_a and_o raw_a but_o fresh_a and_o new_a we_o have_v therefore_o well_o to_o consider_v of_o it_o and_o every_o one_o of_o we_o to_o enter_v deep_a into_o ourselves_o and_o try_v our_o heart_n whether_o this_o commandment_n be_v new_a fresh_a and_o green_a in_o our_o mind_n or_o no_o or_o rather_o whether_o it_o be_v so_o old_a unto_o we_o that_o we_o have_v clean_o forget_v it_o i_o be_o afraid_a if_o we_o well_o try_v and_o examine_v ourselves_o we_o shall_v find_v it_o fresh_a and_o new_a among_o a_o very_a few_o or_o none_o of_o we_o but_o so_o old_a that_o it_o be_v even_o at_o the_o last_o cast_v with_o a_o great_a number_n of_o we_o and_o a_o new_a commandment_n come_v in_o the_o room_n of_o it_o not_o from_o jesus_n christ_n but_o satan_n and_o the_o devil_n a_o new_a commandment_n that_o we_o love_v not_o one_o a_o other_o but_o every_o man_n himself_o this_o same_o new_a commandment_n of_o satan_n of_o love_v ourselves_o oh_o it_o be_v marvellous_a rife_a fresh_a and_o new_a among_o we_o but_o the_o new_a commandment_n of_o the_o lord_n jesus_n of_o love_v one_o a_o other_o it_o be_v so_o stale_a and_o wear_v out_o of_o use_n among_o we_o new-fangled_a englishman_n and_o especial_o among_o we_o norfolk_n man_n if_o jesus_n christ_n have_v give_v we_o this_o commandment_n to_o love_v ourselves_o how_o notable_o can_v we_o have_v practise_v it_o and_o what_o a_o number_n of_o follower_n thereof_o shall_v we_o have_v find_v among_o we_o at_o this_o day_n all_o england_n all_o norfolk_n shall_v have_v be_v find_v very_o perfect_a in_o it_o but_o alas_o good_a brethren_n it_o be_v clean_o contrary_a that_o commandment_n which_o he_o will_v have_v new_a among_o we_o be_v not_o to_o love_v ourselves_o but_o to_o love_v one_o a_o other_o this_o be_v that_o that_o he_o have_v give_v himself_o for_o we_o to_o redeem_v we_o from_o hell_n sure_o it_o can_v not_o be_v otherwise_o think_v but_o that_o we_o deserve_v to_o be_v throw_v down_o headlong_o to_o hell_n eternal_o and_o look_v if_o we_o can_v agree_v any_o better_a there_o it_o please_v the_o lord_n jesus_n to_o redeem_v we_o from_o damnation_n that_o we_o may_v love_v one_o a_o other_o as_o so_o harden_v in_o their_o sin_n and_o bold_o go_v on_o forward_o to_o eternal_a destruction_n man_n do_v imagine_v with_o themselves_o that_o although_o they_o must_v one_o day_n appear_v before_o the_o throne_n of_o god_n yet_o it_o will_v not_o be_v so_o soon_o and_o thereupon_o they_o never_o think_v of_o that_o matter_n but_o devise_v all_o wickedness_n in_o their_o brain_n to_o fill_v their_o purse_n feed_v the_o paunch_n deceive_v their_o neighbour_n and_o general_o all_o other_o spite_n and_o villainy_n against_o god_n and_o man_n and_o all_o because_o they_o think_v themselves_o in_o sure_a case_n that_o the_o day_n of_o repentance_n be_v not_o so_o near_o but_o that_o they_o may_v amend_v all_o this_o gear_n in_o time_n but_o it_o be_v not_o so_o they_o be_v deceive_v the_o scripture_n tell_v we_o it_o will_v come_v soon_o than_o we_o think_v &_o therefore_o amend_v betimes_o lest_o we_o perish_v all_o and_o it_o be_v a_o marvellous_a matter_n to_o see_v how_o wonderful_o the_o adversary_n have_v prevail_v in_o this_o for_o whereas_o god_n will_v have_v we_o always_o in_o readiness_n because_o the_o time_n 〈◊〉_d uncertain_a the_o clean_a contrary_n be_v long_a a_o day_n nay_o then_o i_o shall_v do_v well_o enough_o and_o here_o they_o can_v fall_v to_o gibe_a and_o make_v themselves_o merry_a with_o the_o talk_n of_o the_o welchman_n who_o have_v rob_v a_o man_n of_o his_o budget_n and_o be_v threaten_v that_o he_o shall_v answer_v for_o it_o at_o the_o day_n of_o judgement_n make_v answer_v that_o if_o he_o may_v have_v so_o long_a a_o day_n he_o will_v have_v the_o cloak_n too_o and_o thus_o miserable_a caytiff_n they_o think_v they_o have_v notable_o prevail_v when_o thus_o they_o have_v scoff_v out_o the_o matter_n but_o alas_o poor_a soul_n it_o be_v no_o more_o than_o a_o laughter_n from_o the_o tooth_n forward_o for_o when_o they_o have_v put_v from_o they_o the_o day_n of_o the_o lord_n as_o far_o as_o can_v be_v and_o that_o god_n for_o a_o time_n let_v they_o play_v upon_o the_o hook_n yet_o alas_o there_o be_v a_o thing_n within_o their_o breast_n that_o sometime_o will_v sting_v they_o to_o the_o heart_n in_o spite_n of_o their_o tooth_n but_o yet_o herewithal_o you_o see_v how_o common_a this_o be_v among_o man_n that_o the_o day_n of_o the_o lord_n be_v a_o far_o off_o 3._o for_o when_o we_o can_v so_o ready_o give_v such_o answer_n as_o this_o if_o you_o give_v i_o so_o long_a a_o day_n etc._n etc._n sure_o we_o bewray_v our_o own_o heart_n unaware_o that_o we_o be_v persuade_v in_o our_o breast_n that_o to_o be_v holy_a in_o our_o young_a age_n it_o be_v the_o next_o way_n to_o make_v we_o devil_n when_o we_o be_v old_a and_o as_o though_o it_o be_v the_o best_a way_n to_o be_v a_o devil_n in_o thy_o young_a age_n that_o thou_o may_v be_v make_v a_o good_a holy_a man_n in_o thy_o old_a age_n but_o i_o pray_v thou_o what_o if_o thy_o god_n call_v thou_o while_o thou_o be_v a_o young_a devil_n what_o miserable_a blindness_n we_o be_v tumble_v that_o the_o thing_n which_o god_n have_v hide_v from_o we_o so_o secret_a to_o himself_o the_o day_n of_o his_o come_n and_o the_o day_n of_o our_o death_n as_o though_o we_o be_v of_o god_n counsel_n we_o will_v be_v so_o cunning_a in_o it_o as_o if_o he_o have_v not_o only_o reveal_v it_o unto_o we_o but_o also_o have_v seal_v unto_o we_o the_o assurance_n of_o it_o and_o all_o this_o we_o do_v that_o we_o may_v more_o bold_o sin_n without_o controlment_n think_v when_o we_o be_v old_a we_o will_v then_o begin_v to_o frame_v ourselves_o to_o our_o condemnation_n it_o be_v no_o sleight_n nor_o slender_a stuff_n but_o sound_a proof_n out_o of_o the_o word_n of_o god_n 17._o here_o be_v no_o counterfeit_a deed_n no_o forge_a evidence_n but_o such_o as_o be_v seal_v and_o ratify_v by_o the_o son_n of_o god_n himself_o 18._o which_o testify_v of_o himself_o that_o his_o come_n be_v not_o to_o disannul_v they_o 17._o but_o to_o fulfil_v we_o bring_v not_o our_o own_o cavil_n against_o god_n not_o the_o device_n of_o our_o own_o brain_n nor_o that_o which_o we_o think_v good_a of_o ourselves_o unless_o it_o have_v his_o ground_n on_o the_o word_n of_o god_n which_o only_o must_v be_v the_o great_a court_n roll_n that_o this_o heavenly_a judge_n will_v use_v in_o this_o court_n and_o this_o be_v one_o special_a cause_n that_o so_o firm_a &_o strong_a as_o god_n must_v needs_o yield_v unto_o our_o like_n but_o it_o be_v far_a otherwise_o when_o be_v come_v to_o be_v handle_v before_o god_n all_o such_o imagination_n must_v needs_o vanish_v away_o as_o smoke_v before_o the_o judgement_n seat_n of_o god_n nothing_o can_v abide_v his_o presence_n there_o but_o only_o his_o own_o bless_a word_n and_o that_o which_o be_v god_n that_o we_o be_v all_o of_o we_o accurse_v of_o god_n own_o mouth_n 26._o because_o we_o have_v transgress_v his_o la_o and_o holy_a commandment_n 10._o this_o be_v prove_v against_o we_o what_o be_v not_o altogether_o without_o our_o answer_n such_o as_o they_o be_v very_o simple_a god_n know_v &_o slender_a far_o unmeet_a to_o come_v before_o so_o glorious_a a_o judge_n in_o so_o weighty_a because_o we_o see_v other_o man_n have_v do_v great_a or_o because_o we_o see_v ourselves_o void_a of_o notorious_a crime_n &_o such_o as_o be_v punish_v by_o the_o magistrate_n we_o can_v very_o ready_o allege_v for_o ourselves_o what_o man_n i_o trust_v i_o be_o not_o so_o great_a a_o sinner_n i_o thank_v god_n i_o be_o no_o thief_n i_o labour_v true_o for_o my_o live_n nor_o i_o be_o no_o murderer_n or_o common_a whoremaster_n &_o such_o like_a and_o hereupon_o we_o set_v ourselves_o in_o a_o good_a stay_n &_o never_o busy_v ourselves_o to_o answer_v the_o matter_n any_o further_a before_o the_o throne_n of_o god_n but_o conclude_v with_o ourselves_o that_o god_n must_v be_v good_a unto_o we_o because_o we_o be_v not_o so_o notorious_a sinner_n as_o outrageous_a man_n be_v yea_o good_a brethren_n but_o will_v god_n be_v so_o answer_v think_v you_o will_v this_o stand_v for_o good_a evidence_n before_o the_o throne_n of_o god_n do_v the_o word_n of_o god_n say_v curse_v be_v every_o one_o that_o do_v not_o abide_v in_o the_o great_a commandment_n as_o in_o abstain_v from_o murder_n man_n slaughter_n whordom_n these_o &_o such_o like_a do_v it_o speak_v on_o this_o breethen_n if_o we_o will_v be_v conversant_a in_o the_o word_n of_o god_n that_o the_o lord_n god_n have_v be_v as_o careful_a for_o we_o in_o this_o point_n as_o any_o of_o we_o can_v be_v careful_a for_o ourselves_o in_o our_o own_o worldly_a cause_n he_o have_v provide_v for_o we_o a_o good_a and_o trusty_a friend_n that_o free_o and_o frank_o have_v discharge_v for_o we_o the_o whole_a debt_n we_o find_v in_o the_o word_n of_o god_n that_o same_o true_a and_o trusty_a friend_n that_o have_v pay_v the_o debt_n for_o we_o that_o although_o the_o angel_n can_v not_o help_v here_o 1._o nor_o lawful_o it_o be_v so_o general_a a_o thing_n and_o touch_v the_o corruption_n of_o our_o nature_n so_o near_o that_o if_o he_o do_v or_o speak_v but_o any_o ill_n by_o we_o we_o think_v we_o may_v and_o small_a i_o can_v have_v be_v content_a thou_o shall_v have_v forgive_v they_o unto_o i_o but_o because_o they_o be_v so_o many_o and_o so_o spiteful_a now_o i_o will_v have_v thou_o even_o pour_v out_o all_o thy_o displeasure_n upon_o i_o for_o so_o do_v i_o use_v to_o do_v with_o they_o that_o do_v offend_v against_o i_o therefore_o i_o pray_v thou_o deal_v even_o so_o with_o i_o now_o good_a lord_n for_o after_o this_o manner_n i_o do_v use_n to_o forgive_v they_o that_o offend_v i_o i_o use_v to_o do_v the_o worst_a i_o can_v to_o they_o either_o by_o word_n or_o deed_n therefore_o i_o pray_v thou_o do_v the_o worst_a to_o i_o thou_o can_v be_v not_o this_o i_o pray_v you_o to_o pray_v for_o vengeance_n upon_o our_o own_o head_n yes_o sure_o and_o certain_o even_o so_o do_v we_o as_o oft_o as_o we_o dare_v pray_v the_o lord_n prayer_n and_o yet_o can_v not_o find_v in_o our_o heart_n to_o forgive_v offence_n do_v against_o us._n good_a brethren_n let_v we_o not_o deceive_v ourselves_o 15._o the_o lord_n jesus_n flat_o tell_v we_o we_o shall_v never_o be_v forgive_v unless_o we_o can_v be_v content_a to_o forgive_v other_o let_v we_o say_v what_o we_o will_v the_o lord_n jesus_n say_v so_o we_o shall_v never_o be_v forgive_v unless_o we_o can_v forgive_v other_o there_o be_v no_o remedy_n the_o truth_n have_v speak_v it_o let_v we_o flatter_v ourselves_o as_o long_a as_o we_o will_v we_o can_v be_v forgive_v unless_o we_o forgive_v therefore_o if_o ever_o we_o will_v be_v forgive_v at_o god_n hand_n unless_o we_o will_v be_v throw_v into_o the_o pit_n of_o hell_n let_v we_o forgive_v and_o away_o with_o these_o fond_a &_o brabble_a excuse_n to_o say_v they_o be_v so_o many_o and_o so_o great_a i_o can_v never_o forgive_v he_o will_v thou_o be_v content_v that_o the_o lord_n jesus_n shall_v answer_v thou_o so_o when_o thou_o come_v unto_o he_o for_o forgiveness_n if_o he_o shall_v say_v unto_o thou_o o_o silly_a poor_a soul_n i_o can_v be_v content_a to_o forgive_v thou_o if_o thy_o sin_n have_v not_o be_v so_o many_o and_o so_o great_a but_o because_o they_o be_v so_o huge_a &_o so_o heinous_a i_o can_v not_o forgive_v thou_o go_v thy_o way_n to_o hell_n for_o i_o can_v not_o find_v in_o my_o heart_n to_o forgive_v thou_o will_v thou_o be_v content_a with_o this_o answer_n at_o the_o lord_n hand_n for_o thy_o sin_n i_o trow_v not_o and_o yet_o cruel_a heart_a tyrant_n thou_o can_v be_v content_a to_o say_v so_o and_o think_v so_o of_o they_o that_o have_v not_o offend_v thou_o the_o thousand_o part_n so_o much_o as_o thou_o have_v do_v the_o lord_n thy_o god_n do_v thou_o think_v than_o thou_o can_v so_o sâ—â—ly_o escape_v the_o lord_n thy_o god_n thou_o can_v not_o thou_o can_v not_o and_o therefore_o there_o be_v no_o remedy_n but_o either_o thou_o must_v forgive_v or_o sure_o thou_o shall_v never_o be_v forgive_v look_v now_o to_o it_o as_o thou_o will_v and_o fling_v away_o from_o god_n as_o fast_o as_o thou_o will_v they_o be_v word_n of_o the_o lord_n jesus_n which_o can_v not_o lie_v let_v we_o for_o god_n love_v look_v unto_o they_o it_o stand_v we_o in_o hand_n think_v we_o to_o be_v forgive_v of_o god_n our_o great_a and_o intolerable_a sin_n and_o can_v not_o be_v content_a to_o forgive_v small_a sin_n in_o comparison_n no_o sure_o it_o can_v not_o be_v the_o lord_n jesus_n set_v out_o this_o matter_n more_o large_o in_o the_o 18._o of_o matthew_n 23._o by_o the_o example_n of_o a_o king_n which_o mind_v to_o take_v a_o reckon_v of_o his_o servant_n whereof_o one_o be_v bring_v unto_o he_o which_o do_v owe_v he_o a_o thousand_o talent_n &_o he_o not_o be_v able_a to_o pay_v commandment_n be_v give_v that_o he_o his_o wife_n and_o child_n shall_v be_v sell_v and_o payment_n make_v the_o man_n with_o pitiful_a tear_n fall_v down_o at_o the_o foot_n of_o the_o king_n desire_v he_o only_o to_o bear_v with_o he_o for_o

find_v one_o of_o his_o fellow_n that_o owe_v he_o a_o certain_a small_a trifle_a piece_n of_o money_n and_o raging_o catch_v he_o by_o the_o throat_n command_v he_o to_o pay_v that_o he_o owe_v the_o poor_a man_n amaze_v fall_v down_o at_o his_o foot_n with_o weep_a tear_n humble_o beseech_v he_o to_o be_v good_a unto_o he_o and_o he_o will_v pay_v he_o all_o the_o other_o will_v not_o hear_v but_o cruel_o command_v he_o to_o be_v cast_v in_o prison_n and_o there_o the_o poor_a man_n lay_v the_o king_n hear_v of_o this_o cruelty_n call_v he_o and_o say_v i_o forgive_v thou_o the_o whole_a debt_n when_o thou_o besoughte_v i_o ought_v not_o thou_o to_o have_v have_v compassion_n upon_o thy_o fellow_n also_o as_o i_o have_v on_o thou_o &_o the_o king_n in_o great_a displeasure_n command_v he_o to_o be_v deliver_v to_o the_o tormentor_n 35._o even_o so_o say_v our_o saviour_n christ_n will_v my_o heavenly_a father_n do_v to_o you_o unless_o you_o forgive_v one_o another_o from_o the_o great_a offence_n do_v to_o god_n if_o one_o do_v but_o a_o little_a contrary_n to_o our_o mind_n in_o any_o small_a matter_n oh_o we_o make_v it_o so_o great_a a_o matter_n we_o have_v never_o do_v with_o it_o and_o hardly_o shall_v a_o man_n bring_v we_o to_o any_o good_a agreement_n we_o be_v so_o hard_o heart_v it_o will_v not_o out_o of_o our_o stomach_n but_o we_o must_v be_v revenge_v strait_a way_n we_o will_v wait_v he_o at_o the_o advantage_n once_o in_o our_o life_n time_n to_o be_v even_o with_o he_o if_o we_o can_v what_o be_v this_o else_o but_o to_o provoke_v god_n fierce_a wrath_n and_o indignation_n upon_o we_o and_o to_o heap_v god_n judgement_n upon_o we_o jesus_n christ_n tell_v we_o even_o so_o will_v our_o heavenly_a father_n deal_v with_o us._n do_v it_o not_o now_o then_o stand_v we_o in_o hand_n to_o forgive_v one_o another_o to_o put_v malice_n and_o hatred_n out_o of_o our_o heart_n and_o now_o at_o the_o length_n to_o learn_v perfect_o this_o lesson_n at_o our_o saviour_n his_o hand_n to_o love_v one_o another_o as_o he_o love_v we_o not_o only_o they_o that_o do_v we_o good_a but_o even_o our_o enemy_n and_o they_o that_o hate_v us._n true_a it_o be_v we_o must_v never_o love_v the_o sin_n of_o our_o enemy_n nor_o of_o none_o else_o but_o always_o be_v in_o deadly_a hatred_n with_o that_o but_o yet_o we_o must_v love_v and_o pity_v the_o person_n of_o our_o enemy_n that_o be_v in_o danger_v thereby_o and_o if_o this_o be_v well_o weigh_v you_o shall_v see_v that_o we_o have_v more_o need_n to_o pity_n then_o to_o hate_v our_o enemy_n if_o there_o be_v any_o injury_n or_o harm_n do_v unto_o we_o either_o by_o word_n or_o deed_n 22._o they_o that_o do_v it_o be_v guilty_a of_o hell_n fire_n so_o say_v jesus_n christ_n will_v it_o not_o pity_v our_o heart_n to_o see_v any_o in_o the_o torment_n of_o hell_n alas_o yes_o if_o we_o be_v not_o worse_o than_o bruit_n beast_n we_o will_v take_v pity_n upon_o they_o and_o sure_o in_o that_o case_n be_v all_o those_o which_o do_v we_o harm_n unless_o they_o repent_v and_o therefore_o the_o lord_n jesus_n pity_v the_o case_n of_o they_o that_o put_v he_o to_o death_n because_o he_o know_v in_o what_o dangerous_a estate_n their_o soul_n be_v whereas_o they_o in_o spite_n and_o rage_n against_o he_o be_v so_o blind_a that_o they_o can_v not_o see_v it_o but_o alas_o he_o see_v it_o and_o pity_v their_o case_n 34._o and_o pray_v say_v o_o father_n forgive_v they_o they_o can_v not_o tell_v what_o they_o do_v they_o be_v even_o almost_o in_o the_o gulf_n of_o hell_n and_o yet_o see_v it_o not_o they_o be_v so_o blind_a in_o their_o rage_n that_o they_o run_v headlong_o to_o hell_n and_o never_o think_v upon_o it_o the_o same_o affection_n must_v be_v in_o we_o towards_o our_o enemy_n if_o we_o be_v of_o the_o same_o spirit_n of_o christ_n we_o must_v pity_v their_o case_n that_o have_v do_v any_o harm_n or_o injury_n against_o we_o &_o thus_o think_v o_o lord_n god_n this_o their_o fact_n be_v damnable_a before_o thy_o eye_n they_o have_v deserve_v hell_n fire_n and_o yet_o o_o lord_n they_o see_v it_o not_o good_a lord_n give_v they_o heart_n and_o mind_n to_o see_v their_o sin_n that_o they_o may_v see_v in_o what_o danger_n they_o be_v in_o and_o so_o turn_v unto_o thou_o and_o repent_v thus_o you_o see_v how_o we_o must_v pity_v our_o enemy_n and_o pray_v for_o they_o &_o do_v what_o we_o can_v to_o bring_v they_o out_o of_o the_o danger_n there_o be_v none_o without_o so_o much_o natural_a affection_n but_o he_o will_v pity_v the_o life_n of_o any_o thing_n be_v in_o danger_n if_o it_o be_v but_o a_o ox_n or_o a_o ass_n to_o put_v it_o out_o of_o the_o mire_n if_o he_o can_v there_o be_v none_o so_o brutish_a that_o will_v suffer_v the_o life_n of_o a_o beast_n to_o perish_v if_o he_o can_v help_v it_o much_o more_o be_v the_o life_n of_o man_n to_o be_v pity_v be_v in_o danger_n but_o much_o more_o be_v the_o everlasting_a life_n of_o the_o soul_n of_o man_n to_o be_v tender_v be_v in_o danger_n while_o thy_o enemy_n rage_v against_o thou_o with_o all_o despite_n and_o villainy_n his_o poor_a soul_n be_v in_o peril_n to_o be_v drown_v in_o the_o gulf_n of_o hell_n ought_v not_o thou_o to_o pity_v his_o estate_n and_o reach_v out_o thy_o hand_n to_o help_v he_o out_o and_o not_o like_o a_o unmerciful_a man_n to_o plunge_v he_o down_o to_o be_v drown_v that_o thou_o may_v revenge_v thy_o spite_n and_o malice_n for_o the_o injury_n &_o harm_n he_o have_v do_v unto_o thou_o there_o be_v none_o so_o cruel_a that_o will_v deal_v so_o with_o a_o very_a beast_n if_o we_o have_v receive_v any_o harm_n at_o any_o beast_n hand_n either_o a_o stroke_n with_o a_o horse_n his_o foot_n or_o such_o like_a if_o we_o shall_v happen_v to_o see_v the_o poor_a beast_n after_o that_o in_o peril_n of_o drown_v be_v there_o any_o so_o cruel_a that_o he_o may_v be_v revenge_v of_o the_o harm_n do_v unto_o he_o will_v let_v the_o poor_a beast_n starve_v or_o else_o violent_o push_v he_o headlong_o and_o hold_v down_o his_o head_n to_o drown_v he_o surely_n none_o will_v do_v it_o unless_o he_o be_v worse_o a_o thousand_o fold_n then_o a_o beast_n what_o do_v we_o mean_v then_o see_v the_o soul_n of_o our_o enemy_n in_o so_o great_a peril_n by_o continuance_n in_o their_o sin_n that_o we_o do_v not_o pity_v their_o case_n to_o pray_v for_o they_o to_o help_v they_o out_o but_o rather_o to_o revenge_v our_o malice_n do_v soon_o push_v they_o in_o forwards_o headlong_a to_o destruction_n nay_o rather_o what_o do_v we_o mean_v in_o push_v they_o forward_o to_o destruction_n to_o throw_v ourselves_o down_o headlong_o with_o they_o to_o the_o pit_n of_o hell_n for_o what_o be_v it_o else_o when_o we_o bear_v hatred_n spite_n and_o malice_n against_o they_o it_o be_v murder_n before_o god_n and_o therefore_o guilty_a of_o hell_n sire_n have_v we_o not_o then_o notable_o prevail_v against_o our_o enemy_n 15._o when_o for_o pure_a spiteful_a love_n and_o revengeful_a good_a will_n towards_o they_o we_o will_v even_o jump_v with_o they_o into_o the_o dungeon_n of_o hell_n this_o be_v not_o to_o love_v one_o another_o as_o the_o lord_n love_v we_o well_o then_o good_a brethren_n i_o pray_v you_o let_v we_o look_v unto_o it_o we_o must_v love_v one_o another_o yea_o even_o our_o enemy_n for_o so_o do_v christ_n love_v we_o his_o enemy_n we_o must_v love_v their_o soul_n and_o pity_v their_o soul_n and_o help_v they_o even_o as_o we_o can_v we_o must_v not_o so_o much_o regard_v the_o spite_n they_o have_v do_v unto_o we_o as_o the_o danger_n their_o soul_n be_v in_o before_o god_n and_o this_o may_v make_v we_o to_o stay_v our_o rage_n and_o revengement_n against_o our_o brethren_n when_o they_o have_v offend_v we_o for_o what_o be_v the_o cause_n that_o we_o be_v so_o out_o of_o patience_n with_o they_o that_o have_v do_v we_o injury_n
