the_o work_n of_o faith_n that_o abraham_n be_v justify_v and_o not_o by_o that_o vain_a or_o empty_a faith_n without_o work_n that_o be_v without_o the_o present_a power_n and_o operation_n of_o god_n for_o such_o faith_n the_o devil_n may_v attain_v unto_o who_o believe_v there_o be_v one_o god_n and_o tremble_v but_o do_v not_o consist_v in_o his_o power_n as_o make_v one_o of_o twain_o distinct_a and_o so_o full_a of_o variety_n of_o glory_n be_v the_o spirit_n and_o life_n of_o the_o creature_n consist_v in_o change_n of_o motion_n or_o operation_n also_o here_o the_o work_n of_o god_n have_v their_o proper_a time_n season_n and_o opportunity_n which_o in_o the_o proper_a and_o simple_a eternal_a can_v never_o be_v furthermore_o as_o man_n work_v not_o by_o the_o principle_n and_o property_n of_o the_o creature_n but_o by_o those_o that_o be_v proper_a to_o god_n deny_v himself_o be_v resign_v over_o unto_o god_n and_o so_o all_o his_o operation_n become_v of_o a_o one_o carnal_a and_o corrupt_a estate_n in_o which_o all_o the_o ligament_n thereof_o be_v such_o as_o proper_o the_o creature_n be_v the_o original_n and_o fountain_n of_o and_o not_o the_o creator_n how_o then_o can_v this_o unity_n be_v eternal_a when_o the_o proper_a bond_n be_v of_o that_o which_o be_v mortal_a and_o temporary_a to_o this_o we_o answer_v that_o there_o be_v certain_a faculty_n or_o aptitude_n to_o do_v or_o to_o be_v in_o the_o soul_n of_o a_o man_n as_o also_o a_o law_n or_o principle_n by_o which_o it_o be_v or_o do_v such_o thing_n and_o for_o the_o aptitude_n to_o do_v chronicle_n write_v of_o book_n or_o the_o like_a to_o reach_v to_o eternity_n which_o god_n only_o wise_a be_v so_o that_o man_n work_v in_o and_o by_o the_o aptitude_n of_o god_n but_o not_o from_o that_o law_n and_o principle_n proper_a to_o the_o son_n of_o god_n for_o whereas_o god_n out_o of_o that_o law_n of_o bounty_n and_o goodness_n of_o his_o nature_n communicate_v himself_o in_o whatsoever_o he_o be_v apt_a to_o do_v and_o be_v whereby_o he_o do_v it_o and_o be_v it_o in_o the_o creature_n the_o creature_n exercise_v itself_o in_o the_o way_n of_o man_n wisdom_n in_o thing_n which_o god_n himself_o be_v prompt_v to_o be_v and_o to_o do_v not_o by_o give_v himself_o up_o unto_o god_n to_o be_v his_o and_o not_o his_o own_o but_o by_o that_o principle_n of_o self-love_n his_o excellency_n in_o the_o aptitude_n of_o man_n soul_n fill_v they_o with_o himself_o so_o as_o the_o thing_n of_o eternity_n come_v to_o be_v distinct_a to_o have_v their_o proper_a season_n time_n place_n yea_o and_o person_n so_o as_o the_o saint_n be_v true_o distinct_a and_o the_o operation_n of_o their_o faith_n as_o the_o apostle_n ample_o declare_v in_o that_o to_o the_o hebrew_n chap._n 11._o so_o also_o that_o man_n of_o sin_n through_o that_o carnal_a law_n exercise_v himself_o in_o the_o aptitude_n of_o god_n
the_o thing_n of_o this_o present_a life_n and_o be_v not_o these_o carnal_a and_o vanish_v then_o as_o held_z and_o practise_v by_o the_o doctor_n of_o our_o day_n together_o with_o their_o follower_n and_o pupil_n where_o then_o shall_v we_o find_v the_o man_n that_o take_v not_o their_o delight_n and_o place_v their_o pleasure_n in_o earthly_a and_o vanish_v thing_n who_o religion_n be_v not_o vaporous_a whereas_o the_o truth_n be_v there_o be_v nothing_o of_o christ_n which_o have_v not_o the_o nature_n divine_a in_o it_o or_o else_o it_o be_v not_o a_o ordinance_n act_n up_o together_o with_o eternity_n see_v prov._n 8._o from_o v_o 22._o to_o 31._o which_o take_v its_o delight_n and_o solace_v only_o in_o the_o compass_n or_o circuit_n of_o his_o earth_n or_o of_o his_o land_n which_o the_o prophet_n style_v the_o lord_n land_n therefore_o he_o present_o interpret_v it_o and_o say_v his_o delight_n be_v with_o the_o child_n of_o man_n where_o he_o dwell_v and_o
