all_o comfort_n and_o consolation_n how_o be_v it_o possible_a that_o we_o shall_v want_v either_o comfort_n or_o spiritual_a consolation_n ask_v they_o that_o have_v be_v heretofore_o as_o thyself_o afflict_v &_o therefore_o for_o the_o present_a as_o thyself_o persuade_v ask_v they_o i_o say_v whether_o though_o they_o speak_v according_a to_o their_o present_a feeling_n yet_o whether_o they_o speak_v according_a to_o the_o word_n of_o truth_n yea_o or_o no._n they_o can_v tell_v thou_o and_o that_o both_o out_o of_o the_o word_n and_o by_o experience_n that_o although_o sorrow_n lodge_v with_o thou_o for_o a_o night_n yet_o joy_n shall_v come_v in_o the_o morning_n that_o they_o be_v all_o bless_a that_o now_o weep_v for_o they_o rejoice_v that_o they_o be_v bless_v that_o mourn_n for_o they_o shall_v be_v comfort_v that_o a_o break_a &_o contrite_a hart_n be_v a_o sacrifice_n sweet_a smell_v unto_o god_n the_o father_n and_o acceptable_a in_o jesus_n christ_n our_o lord_n and_o that_o both_o this_o thy_o sorrow_n which_o be_v for_o thy_o sin_n if_o it_o be_v so_o great_a as_o that_o it_o breed_v repentance_n and_o so_o little_a as_o that_o it_o breed_v not_o despair_n be_v that_o godly_a sorrow_n which_o be_v a_o notable_a
sin_n commit_v against_o his_o glorious_a majesty_n so_o that_o it_o be_v the_o property_n of_o mercy_n to_o respect_v misery_n and_o god_n be_v rich_a in_o mercy_n even_o the_o god_n of_o all_o mercy_n &_o the_o father_n of_o all_o comfort_n and_o consolation_n who_o mercy_n reach_v unto_o the_o heaven_n and_o his_o faithfulness_n unto_o the_o cloud_n we_o may_v no_o less_o true_o then_o bold_o infer_v that_o as_o it_o be_v natural_a for_o the_o fire_n to_o give_v heat_n or_o the_o sun_n to_o give_v light_n so_o be_v it_o natural_a for_o god_n to_o forgive_v thy_o sin_n and_o thy_o offence_n and_o as_o the_o fire_n give_v thou_o heat_n and_o be_v not_o move_v as_o the_o sun_n give_v thou_o light_n and_o be_v not_o vex_v and_o trouble_v therewith_o fith_o it_o be_v his_o nature_n so_o to_o do_v so_o the_o lord_n forgive_v thou_o thy_o sin_n and_o be_v not_o as_o satan_n will_v persuade_v thy_o conscience_n either_o trouble_a or_o vex_v or_o greeve_v or_o unwilling_a therewith_o and_o why_o because_o it_o be_v his_o nature_n so_o to_o do_v and_o therefore_o as_o man_n do_v those_o thing_n cheerful_o and_o willing_o which_o he_o do_v natural_o so_o god_n do_v accept_v pardon_n from_o their_o tutor_n servant_n from_o their_o master_n son_n from_o their_o parent_n subject_n from_o their_o prince_n with_o all_o humble_a thanks_o so_o the_o elect_a accept_v with_o all_o thanks_o unto_o the_o lord_n the_o cup_n of_o their_o salvation_n the_o pardon_n for_o their_o sin_n bow_v the_o knee_n of_o their_o soul_n unto_o the_o god_n of_o all_o mercy_n and_o the_o father_n of_o all_o comfort_n fall_v down_o upon_o their_o face_n &_o give_v thanks_o to_o he_o that_o live_v for_o ever_o and_o ever_o that_o wash_v they_o by_o his_o blood_n from_o all_o their_o sin_n and_o transgression_n and_o therefore_o since_o it_o turn_v unto_o the_o advance_v of_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n unto_o the_o magnify_n of_o his_o mercy_n and_o be_v also_o of_o the_o essence_n and_o nature_n of_o god_n to_o forgive_v our_o sin_n we_o may_v be_v assure_v that_o as_o the_o lord_n have_v a_o singular_a delight_n therein_o so_o a_o special_a readiness_n thereunto_o lord_n say_v the_o psalmist_n be_v good_a to_o all_o &_o his_o mercy_n be_v over_o all_o his_o work_n do_v the_o lord_n show_v mercy_n to_o the_o beast_n of_o the_o field_n and_o will_v he_o not_o extend_v the_o same_o to_o man_n create_v according_a to_o his_o own_o image_n be_v he_o gracious_a unto_o senseless_a creature_n and_o will_v he_o not_o be_v gracious_a unto_o reasonable_a creature_n you_o and_o again_o stand_v in_o the_o temple_n in_o the_o great_a day_n of_o the_o feast_n he_o cry_v a_o loud_a say_n if_o any_o man_n thirst_n let_v he_o come_v to_o i_o and_o i_o will_v satisfy_v in_o we_o he_o fetch_v reason_n out_o of_o every_o particular_a reason_n that_o we_o do_v as_o we_o to_o persuade_v so_o he_o to_o dissuade_v the_o forgiveness_n of_o our_o sin_n and_o first_o as_o touch_v the_o promise_n of_o god_n which_o be_v our_o principal_a and_o first_o reason_n he_o will_v labour_v to_o make_v we_o distrust_v they_o either_o by_o put_v into_o we_o a_o fear_n or_o else_o
