purgatory_n but_o upon_o this_o occasion_n aerius_n urge_v this_o question_n whither_o the_o prayer_n of_o man_n alive_a do_v profit_v the_o dead_a and_o if_o they_o do_v whither_o so_o far_o as_o of_o the_o solemn_a prayer_n and_o solemnity_n remember_v by_o he_o at_o the_o burial_n of_o the_o dead_a cap._n 7._o eccles_n hierarchiae_n where_o of_o they_o that_o die_v he_o make_v but_o two_o sort_n holy_a and_o profane_a place_v the_o holy_a company_n all_o of_o they_o aswell_o the_o imperfect_a sort_n as_o the_o most_o perfect_a in_o bless_a state_n in_o their_o soul_n immediate_o upon_o they_o of_o some_o of_o their_o sin_n by_o the_o prayer_n of_o the_o faithful_a for_o they_o after_o they_o be_v go_v hence_o as_o it_o can_v be_v deny_v but_o that_o chrysostome_n augustine_n and_o some_o other_o have_v think_v yet_o that_o they_o either_o place_v all_o that_o they_o pray_v for_o to_o have_v any_o of_o their_o sin_n forgive_v they_o in_o purgatory_n or_o that_o they_o think_v that_o soul_n so_o torment_v there_o for_o sin_n unsatisfy_a for_o here_o may_v thereby_o be_v free_v from_o their_o sin_n not_o full_o pardon_v they_o ere_o they_o go_v hence_o they_o shall_v never_o soul_n in_o purgatory_n for_o as_o before_o he_o speak_v of_o those_o that_o be_v in_o hell_n in_o the_o state_n of_o damnation_n so_o he_o speak_v this_o of_o those_o that_o be_v in_o the_o state_n of_o salvation_n already_o with_o christ_n their_o king_n in_o a_o bless_a estate_n and_o that_o depart_v hence_o in_o sure_a faith_n thereof_o as_o his_o own_o word_n enter_v into_o this_o matter_n you_o shall_v bind_v we_o to_o allow_v of_o his_o opinion_n in_o this_o and_o that_o you_o yourselves_o will_v not_o allow_v neither_o of_o that_o which_o he_o teach_v before_o to_o be_v do_v for_o
