to_o proceed_v yet_o far_o the_o follow_a collection_n pretend_v to_o a_o just_a esteem_n not_o only_o upon_o the_o account_n of_o its_o perfection_n as_o it_o be_v a_o entire_a collection_n of_o what_o remain_v to_o we_o of_o the_o apostolical_a father_n but_o yet_o much_o more_o from_o the_o respect_n that_o be_v due_a to_o the_o author_n themselves_o who_o write_n be_v here_o put_v together_o 2._o if_o first_o we_o consider_v they_o as_o the_o contemporary_n of_o the_o holy_a apostle_n some_o of_o they_o breed_v up_o under_o our_o saviour_n christ_n himself_o and_o the_o rest_n instruct_v by_o those_o great_a man_n who_o he_o commission_v to_o go_v forth_o and_o preach_v to_o all_o the_o world_n and_o endue_v with_o a_o extraordinary_a assistance_n of_o his_o bless_a spirit_n for_o the_o do_v of_o it_o we_o can_v doubt_v but_o that_o what_o they_o deliver_v to_o we_o must_v be_v without_o controversy_n the_o pure_a doctrine_n of_o the_o gospel_n what_o christ_n with_o they_o but_o they_o be_v of_o a_o very_a eminent_a character_n in_o the_o church_n too_o man_n raise_v up_o to_o the_o high_a pitch_n of_o honour_n and_o authority_n in_o some_o of_o the_o most_o famous_a church_n of_o the_o world_n choose_v by_o the_o apostle_n to_o preside_v in_o their_o own_o proper_a see_v at_o rome_n at_o antioch_n at_o smyrna_n one_o of_o they_o set_v apart_o by_o the_o express_a command_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n to_o be_v the_o companion_n of_o the_o great_a st._n paul_n in_o his_o work_n of_o the_o ministry_n and_o the_o rest_n for_o the_o most_o part_n commend_v for_o their_o rare_a endowment_n in_o the_o inspire_a write_n of_o the_o holy_a scripture_n deliver_v to_o we_o and_o therefore_o we_o may_v be_v sure_a that_o such_o man_n as_o these_o must_v needs_o have_v be_v very_o careful_o instruct_v in_o the_o mystery_n of_o the_o gospel_n and_o have_v have_v
