prayer_n be_v the_o true_a lawful_a and_o holy_a use_n thereof_o and_o so_o of_o prayer_n general_o which_o may_v partly_o be_v perceive_v by_o that_o which_o have_v already_o be_v deliver_v concern_v the_o abuse_n for_o the_o knowledge_n of_o one_o contrary_a arise_v but_o of_o the_o knowledge_n of_o another_o and_o he_o that_o know_v wherein_o the_o abuse_n of_o the_o lord_n prayer_n consist_v know_v also_o wherein_o the_o true_a and_o holy_a use_n do_v consist_v yet_o notwithstanding_o it_o shall_v not_o be_v amiss_o to_o entreat_v brief_o of_o this_o point_n refer_v the_o further_a understanding_n thereof_o partly_o to_o that_o which_o have_v be_v already_o speak_v of_o the_o abuse_n and_o partly_o to_o that_o which_o shall_v be_v speak_v afterward_o in_o the_o preface_n and_o it_o fall_v out_o that_o some_o man_n have_v good_a learning_n do_v not_o edify_v other_o or_o have_v speech_n and_o want_a learning_n be_v no_o better_o than_o sound_a brass_n and_o a_o tinkle_a cymbal_n kingdom_n vicious_a minister_n hinder_v god_n kingdom_n 5._o now_o further_o let_v it_o be_v grant_v that_o a_o man_n have_v the_o qualification_n of_o learning_n sound_a judgement_n pain_n never_o hear_v nor_o profit_v by_o the_o sermon_n and_o these_o minister_n great_o hinder_v the_o kingdom_n of_o christ_n for_o howsoever_o they_o preach_v and_o may_v be_v mean_n of_o conversion_n and_o edification_n to_o those_o that_o be_v convert_v yet_o sure_o their_o evil_a life_n do_v scandalize_v and_o offend_v many_o not_o only_o that_o be_v without_o but_o some_o weak_a one_o also_o though_o they_o bestow_v their_o cogitation_n and_o affection_n more_o liberal_o in_o the_o provision_n of_o outward_a needs_o by_o lawful_a mean_n therein_o in_o part_n betray_v their_o infirmity_n god_n child_n have_v grace_n in_o some_o small_a measure_n and_o assurance_n of_o pardon_n of_o their_o sin_n the_o want_n of_o outward_a matter_n seem_v the_o great_a trouble_n and_o therein_o they_o bewray_v their_o great_a infirmity_n yet_o indeed_o and_o in_o truth_n the_o pardon_n of_o sin_n and_o the_o assurance_n thereof_o when_o the_o conscience_n be_v possess_v with_o the_o feel_n of_o
