general_a term_n the_o holiness_n of_o place_n and_o that_o religious_a regard_n and_o reverence_n which_o be_v to_o be_v pay_v to_o they_o may_v i_o confess_v give_v just_a offence_n to_o christian_a ear_n as_o if_o the_o place_n and_o house_n itself_o have_v such_o a_o holiness_n that_o we_o must_v not_o only_a worship_n god_n in_o such_o a_o place_n but_o that_o we_o must_v pay_v some_o religious_a reverence_n to_o the_o house_n itself_o with_o relation_n to_o god_n for_o if_o once_o we_o admit_v of_o any_o kind_n of_o relative_n worship_n i_o know_v not_o where_o we_o can_v stop_v but_o may_v as_o well_o worship_v picture_n and_o image_n and_o crucifix_n as_o holy_a place_n upon_o account_n of_o their_o relation_n to_o god_n and_o christ._n but_o yet_o no_o understanding_n christian_n will_v deny_v that_o we_o must_v worship_v god_n with_o all_o humility_n of_o soul_n and_o body_n wherever_o we_o know_v that_o god_n be_v peculiar_o present_a to_o receive_v our_o worship_n that_o if_o there_o be_v any_o such_o place_n where_o god_n be_v thus_o peculiar_o present_a we_o must_v approach_v his_o presence_n and_o behave_v ourselves_o while_o we_o continue_v there_o with_o all_o religious_a reverence_n and_o devotion_n it_o be_v the_o peculiar_a presence_n of_o god_n which_o be_v the_o only_a holiness_n of_o any_o place_n and_o which_o alone_o challenge_v our_o religious_a adoration_n and_o the_o reasonableness_n and_o necessity_n of_o this_o every_o one_o must_v own_v who_o acknowledge_v the_o peculiar_a presence_n of_o god_n in_o the_o appropriate_v so_o that_o right_o to_o understand_v this_o matter_n i_o must_v brief_o explain_v the_o scripture_n notion_n of_o god_n peculiar_a presence_n in_o the_o place_n of_o worship_n and_o what_o reverence_n such_o a_o presence_n require_v from_o we_o when_o we_o approach_v such_o place_n first_o then_o i_o observe_v that_o though_o it_o be_v the_o constant_a doctrine_n of_o scripture_n that_o god_n be_v essential_o present_a in_o all_o place_n yet_o there_o be_v some_o place_n which_o be_v peculiar_o call_v his_o presence_n and_o thus_o it_o have_v be_v ever_o since_o the_o creation_n wherever_o god_n manifest_v himself_o peculiar_o present_a such_o place_n be_v call_v his_o presence_n and_o become_v the_o ordinary_a stand_a place_n of_o worship_n it_o do_v not_o seem_v
