be_v to_o they_o both_o a_o stumble_v block_n and_o foolishness_n while_o unto_o they_o which_o be_v call_v christ_n be_v the_o power_n of_o god_n and_o the_o wisdom_n of_o god_n oh_o how_o great_a and_o glorious_a be_v the_o power_n of_o god_n in_o the_o work_n of_o redemption_n by_o the_o suffering_n of_o jesus_n christ_n oh_o the_o depth_n of_o the_o riches_n both_o of_o the_o wisdom_n and_o knowledge_n of_o god_n which_o the_o proud_a in_o spirit_n know_v not_o as_o the_o prophet_n david_n teach_v psal_n 11_o 4._o the_o wicked_a through_o the_o pride_n of_o his_o countenance_n will_v not_o seek_v after_o god_n
with_o thou_o by_o way_n of_o concession_n in_o put_v the_o case_n that_o all_o this_o which_o thou_o say_v be_v so_o and_o that_o thou_o go_v beyond_o all_o other_o in_o every_o one_o of_o these_o five_o particular_n yet_o notwithstanding_o thy_o way_n and_o practice_n be_v a_o manifest_a falsehood_n as_o shall_v be_v make_v evident_a in_o that_o which_o follow_v sect._n 6_o for_o first_o suppose_v that_o thou_o in_o bodily_a habit_n do_v neglect_v thyself_o as_o much_o as_o the_o proof_n a_o concession_n and_o answer_n to_o the_o first_o proof_n romish_a friar_n or_o the_o hermit_n adversary_n to_o the_o truth_n of_o the_o gospel_n and_o that_o we_o may_v know_v that_o this_o show_n of_o humility_n in_o neglect_n of_o the_o body_n be_v no_o sufficient_a proof_n for_o this_o purpose_n the_o scripture_n of_o truth_n do_v warn_v we_o of_o a_o sort_n of_o false_a worshipper_n who_o worship_n angel_n and_o walk_v after_o the_o commandment_n of_o man_n be_v vain_o puff_v up_o in_o their_o fleshly_a mind_n who_o hold_v not_o the_o head_n christ_n jesus_n by_o subject_v to_o his_o ordinance_n yet_o be_v subject_a to_o the_o ordinance_n of_o man_n touch_v not_o taste_v not_o handle_v not_o which_o thing_n say_v the_o apostle_n indeed_o have_v a_o show_n of_o wisdom_n in_o will-worship_n and_o humility_n and_o neglect_v of_o the_o body_n not_o in_o any_o honour_n to_o the_o satisfy_n of_o the_o flesh_n col._n 2._o 18_o 19_o 21_o 22_o 23._o oh_o what_o a_o glorious_a show_n of_o wisdom_n be_v there_o in_o will-worship_n and_o humility_n and_o neglect_v of_o the_o body_n but_o alas_o what_o benefit_n be_v in_o all_o this_o for_o when_o this_o come_v to_o be_v try_v it_o be_v find_v to_o be_v but_o the_o wisdom_n of_o this_o world_n which_o be_v earthly_a sensual_a and_o devilish_a james_n 3._o 15._o and_o be_v not_o the_o worship_n of_o those_o that_o call_v themselves_o follower_n of_o the_o light_n within_o the_o worship_n of_o angel_n that_o be_v of_o devil_n while_o they_o disobey_v that_o which_o god_n have_v show_v they_o in_o the_o scripture_n of_o truth_n and_o intrude_v into_o such_o thing_n which_o be_v not_o to_o be_v find_v there_o where_o be_v there_o such_o a_o thing_n to_o be_v find_v in_o all_o the_o record_n that_o god_n have_v give_v of_o his_o son_n that_o all_o man_n ought_v not_o to_o look_v into_o and_o be_v guide_v by_o the_o scripture_n of_o truth_n but_o that_o all_o man_n ought_v to_o look_v into_o and_o be_v guide_v by_o the_o so_o call_v light_n which_o be_v within_o they_o oh_o the_o vanity_n of_o that_o fleshly_a and_o puff_v up_o mind_n that_o have_v be_v the_o author_n of_o this_o intrusion_n and_o doctrine_n of_o devil_n so_o direct_o contrary_a to_o the_o doctrine_n of_o the_o holy_a prophet_n apostle_n and_o of_o christ_n himself_o the_o great_a of_o they_o all_o who_o require_v we_o to_o hearken_v to_o the_o word_n of_o the_o lord_n express_v in_o the_o law_n and_o in_o the_o testimony_n to_o take_v heed_n unto_o the_o most_o sure_a word_n of_o the_o prophet_n 2_o pet._n 1._o 19_o to_o search_v the_o scripture_n which_o be_v able_a to_o make_v we_o wise_a unto_o salvation_n through_o faith_n which_o be_v in_o christ_n jesus_n 2_o tim._n 3._o 15._o therefore_o although_o thou_o be_v outward_o more_o humble_a than_o any_o other_o that_o be_v no_o confirmation_n that_o thou_o be_v in_o the_o truth_n but_o in_o the_o falsehood_n rather_o while_o thy_o doctrine_n be_v so_o direct_o contrary_a to_o the_o word_n of_o truth_n and_o thus_o thy_o pretend_a proof_n of_o thy_o humility_n lie_v dead_a and_o will_v not_o do_v the_o service_n for_o which_o it_o be_v bring_v sect._n 7_o but_o second_o suppose_v that_o thou_o be_v in_o proof_n a_o concession_n and_o answer_n endeavour_v to_o break_v the_o peace_n of_o the_o saint_n by_o sow_v discord_n among_o the_o brethren_n because_o he_o know_v that_o their_o unity_n will_v be_v the_o ruin_n of_o his_o kingdom_n and_o although_o sometime_o through_o his_o temptation_n many_o turn_n aside_o from_o the_o truth_n yet_o notwithstanding_o the_o lord_n own_v the_o rest_n as_o his_o people_n that_o stand_v fast_o in_o it_o to_o those_o few_o name_n in_o sardis_n which_o do_v not_o defile_v their_o garment_n it_o be_v promise_v that_o they_o shall_v walk_v with_o the_o lord_n in_o white_a rev._n 3._o 4._o notwithstanding_o the_o pollute_a estate_n of_o the_o rest_n although_o there_o be_v division_n among_o the_o disciple_n of_o christ_n yet_o they_o be_v his_o disciple_n and_o the_o lord_n use_v because_o some_o walk_v contrary_a to_o their_o profession_n shall_v we_o condemn_v all_o the_o angel_n of_o god_n because_o some_o of_o they_o do_v not_o keep_v their_o first_o estate_n but_o leave_v exceed_o sin_v against_o the_o lord_n by_o reject_v his_o counsel_n to_o go_v up_o and_o fall_v at_o ramoth_n gilead_n even_o so_o have_v the_o lord_n send_v or_o permit_v a_o lie_a spirit_n to_o be_v in_o all_o your_o mouth_n that_o you_o may_v entice_v all_o they_o that_o do_v reject_v the_o counsel_n of_o god_n which_o be_v write_v in_o the_o new_a testament_n to_o go_v on_o and_o fall_v and_o of_o all_o sin_n and_o eternal_o to_o save_v and_o therefore_o contrary_a to_o the_o practice_n of_o the_o apostle_n who_o direct_v unto_o christ_n all_o the_o weary_a and_o heavy_a lade_v with_o by_o word_n of_o mouth_n and_o disperse_v in_o their_o write_a book_n and_o pamphlet_n chap._n ii_o wherein_o be_v show_v that_o the_o doctrine_n of_o these_o that_o call_v themselves_o preacher_n of_o and_o to_o the_o light_n within_o all_o man_n be_v not_o according_a to_o the_o doctrine_n of_o jesus_n christ_n express_v in_o the_o scripture_n of_o truth_n neither_o concern_v the_o person_n of_o christ_n nor_o the_o father_n son_n and_o spirit_n nor_o the_o light_n nor_o the_o ordinance_n of_o christ_n nor_o the_o resurrection_n of_o the_o dead_a nor_o the_o come_v of_o christ_n nor_o the_o end_n of_o the_o world_n also_o the_o doctrine_n which_o be_v according_a to_o godliness_n as_o it_o relate_v to_o these_o particular_n be_v here_o manifest_v sect._n 1_o the_o second_o thing_n which_o i_o lay_v to_o thy_o charge_n which_o teach_v that_o people_n shall_v be_v guide_v by_o the_o light_n which_o be_v within_o all_o man_n be_v that_o thy_o doctrine_n be_v not_o according_a to_o the_o doctrine_n of_o the_o scripture_n neither_o concern_v the_o conception_n of_o jesus_n christ_n nor_o the_o divine_a be_v of_o the_o father_n son_n and_o spirit_n nor_o the_o light_n nor_o the_o his_o disobedience_n against_o god_n and_o his_o holy_a will_n reveal_v in_o his_o testament_n the_o scripture_n of_o truth_n suggest_v unto_o the_o worker_n of_o wickedness_n that_o after_o death_n shall_v appear_v the_o sign_n of_o the_o son_n of_o man_n in_o heaven_n and_o then_o shall_v all_o the_o tribe_n of_o the_o earth_n mourn_v and_o they_o shall_v see_v the_o son_n of_o man_n come_v the_o flood_n they_o be_v eat_v and_o drink_v marry_v and_o give_v in_o marriage_n until_o the_o day_n that_o noah_n enter_v into_o the_o ark_n and_o know_v not_o until_o the_o flood_n come_v and_o take_v they_o all_o away_o so_o shall_v also_o
