it_o they_o take_v by_o and_o by_o as_o a_o undoubted_a truth_n wherein_o as_o at_o the_o first_o he_o abuse_v their_o simplicity_n and_o unstaydnesse_n so_o at_o the_o length_n he_o bring_v they_o to_o a_o obstinate_a frowardness_n that_o in_o respect_n of_o their_o own_o opinion_n they_o will_v not_o stick_v to_o condemn_v those_o who_o they_o know_v in_o their_o own_o conscience_n to_o be_v the_o notable_a instrument_n of_o god_n to_o set_v forth_o his_o glory_n and_o therefore_o it_o behove_v we_o to_o take_v heed_n that_o we_o true_o learn_v to_o discern_v the_o spirit_n 4â—_n whether_o they_o be_v of_o god_n or_o no_o lest_o we_o suffer_v the_o punishment_n of_o our_o own_o carelessness_n be_v carry_v about_o with_o every_o 14._o wind_n of_o doctrine_n by_o the_o deceit_n of_o man_n but_o be_v so_o settle_v upon_o the_o rock_n 18._o christ_n jesus_n through_o the_o knowledge_n of_o the_o doctrine_n of_o the_o prophet_n and_o apostle_n that_o the_o gate_n of_o hell_n shall_v see_v a_o notable_a piece_n of_o cunning_a for_o where_o as_o it_o be_v say_v here_o that_o god_n will_v geve_v his_o angel_n charge_v over_o those_o that_o dwell_v under_o the_o shadow_n of_o himself_o and_o therefore_o he_o pass_v it_o over_o for_o the_o meaning_n of_o the_o promise_n be_v that_o god_n will_v protect_v they_o that_o walk_v in_o his_o way_n which_o he_o have_v prescribe_v unto_o they_o now_o there_o be_v none_o so_o ignorant_a but_o know_v that_o when_o a_o man_n be_v upon_o the_o top_n of_o a_o pinnacle_n his_o way_n to_o come_v down_o be_v not_o to_o throw_v himself_o headlong_o but_o to_o come_v down_o by_o y_fw-es â—_o stair_n that_o be_v make_v for_o that_o purpose_n which_o satan_n know_v well_o enough_o do_v leave_v it_o out_o that_o his_o deal_n may_v not_o be_v descry_v this_o lesson_n do_v he_o teach_v many_o a_o one_o to_o put_v in_o practice_n as_o for_o example_n when_o he_o will_v persuade_v a_o man_n to_o be_v a_o papist_n he_o will_v tell_v he_o that_o none_o can_v be_v save_v but_o who_o the_o pope_n will_v and_o to_o prove_v it_o he_o have_v a_o text_n to_o wit_n whatsoever_o 19_o thou_o bind_v on_o earth_n be_v bind_v in_o for_o so_o the_o original_a text_n be_v to_o be_v expound_v in_o that_o place_n to_o meditate_v in_o the_o law_n of_o god_n day_n and_o night_n to_o make_v it_o 105._o a_o lantern_n to_o our_o foot_n and_o a_o light_n unto_o our_o path_n to_o lay_v down_o all_o our_o wisdom_n and_o our_o own_o way_n at_o the_o foot_n of_o jesus_n christ_n and_o to_o be_v content_v both_o in_o judgement_n &_o in_o tyranny_n and_o butchery_n of_o that_o antechrist_n in_o captive_v the_o conscience_n of_o man_n under_o his_o slavish_a subjection_n and_o then_o do_v hear_v that_o the_o word_n of_o god_n have_v prescribe_v a_o order_n in_o his_o church_n to_o bridle_v the_o varulinesse_n &_o amend_v the_o abuse_n that_o rest_v in_o every_o one_o who_o be_v call_v a_o brother_n if_o once_o we_o desire_v to_o will_v adorn_v or_o rather_o disguise_v themselves_o in_o such_o strange_a and_o monstrous_a manner_n as_o we_o see_v continual_o practise_v amongst_o we_o and_o all_o come_v from_o a_o branch_n of_o that_o that_o satan_n will_v glad_o suggest_v into_o the_o son_n of_o god_n to_o think_v it_o shall_v not_o otherwise_o be_v know_v how_o noble_a how_o worshipful_a how_o rich_a in_o livynge_n or_o great_a of_o birth_n they_o be_v and_o they_o persuade_v themselves_o that_o every_o man_n admire_v their_o great_a estate_n thereby_o when_o poor_a soul_n they_o take_v the_o ready_a way_n to_o be_v
