be_v the_o scope_n of_o my_o sermon_n and_o the_o main_a thing_n set_a thy_o etc._n etc._n now_o by_o this_o word_n house_n you_o may_v understand_v even_o every_o humane_a body_n which_o although_o at_o its_o first_o creation_n be_v a_o most_o solid_a sound_a and_o incorruptible_a substance_n yet_o by_o the_o entrance_n in_o of_o sin_n become_v capable_a of_o all_o sort_n of_o malady_n it_o be_v true_a before_o that_o we_o know_v what_o a_o damnable_a thing_n sin_n be_v we_o have_v strong_a house_n but_o ever_o since_o god_n almighty_n let_v we_o dwell_v in_o paper_n thatch_a cottage_n and_o clay_n wall_n every_o disease_n like_o a_o tempestuous_a storm_n totter_v we_o and_o be_v ever_o and_o anon_o ready_a to_o overwhelm_v we_o now_o this_o ruinous_a house_n and_o all_o decay_a tabernacle_n which_o by_o the_o corruption_n of_o sin_n be_v become_v as_o a_o pest-house_n fetide_fw-la filthy_a and_o unclean_a before_o it_o can_v be_v set_v in_o order_n must_v be_v sweep_v clean_a and_o thorough_o rince_v of_o all_o sin_n infective_a dregs_o first_o it_o must_v be_v thorough_o purge_v from_o the_o guilt_n of_o blood_n which_o leave_v such_o a_o stain_n behind_o it_o that_o the_o whole_a land_n can_v not_o be_v cleanse_v but_o by_o the_o blood_n of_o the_o shedder_n for_o even_o so_o do_v holy_a david_n who_o although_o he_o be_v a_o renown_a and_o glorious_a king_n and_o holy_a prophet_n of_o god_n a_o man_n justify_v even_o of_o his_o enemy_n thou_o be_v more_o righteous_a than_o i_o esteem_v of_o his_o subject_n thou_o be_v worthy_a of_o ten_o thousand_o of_o we_o a_o man_n more_o learned_a than_o his_o teacher_n yea_o a_o man_n even_o after_o god_n own_o heart_n yea_o no_o way_n respect_v the_o name_n or_o applause_n of_o man_n but_o be_v content_a to_o shame_v himself_o for_o evermore_o to_o record_v his_o sin_n to_o his_o own_o shame_n so_o that_o he_o may_v procure_v god_n glory_n and_o the_o good_a of_o his_o church_n set_v thy_o house_n in_o order_n and_o not_o shroud_v in_o his_o head_n nor_o run_v into_o a_o bush_n as_o adam_n do_v but_o write_v his_o fault_n even_o in_o his_o brow_n and_o point_v at_o it_o even_o with_o his_o finger_n cast_v his_o crown_n down_o at_o the_o lamb_n foot_n with_o the_o 24_o elder_n with_o the_o poor_a publican_n fall_v grovel_v to_o the_o earth_n thump_v his_o breast_n strike_v upon_o his_o thigh_n wring_v his_o hand_n and_o ever_o pour_v out_o his_o poor_a soul_n before_o the_o lord_n of_o host_n and_o thus_o humble_v himself_o unto_o the_o dust_n of_o death_n at_o length_n from_o the_o bottom_n of_o his_o heart_n with_o grief_n shame_n and_o fear_v cry_v out_o most_o bitter_o and_o betake_v himself_o unto_o a_o psalm_n of_o mercy_n say_v deliver_v i_o from_o bloodguiltiness_n o_o god_n thou_o be_v the_o god_n of_o my_o health_n and_o my_o tongue_n shall_v sing_v of_o thy_o righteousness_n make_v my_o house_n clean_o by_o cleanse_v i_o from_o the_o guilt_n of_o blood_n and_o then_o shall_v i_o set_v forth_o thy_o praise_n ever_o get_v your_o house_n thorough_o purge_v from_o that_o sin_n which_o be_v a_o high_a offence_n against_o almighty_a god_n who_o have_v give_v it_o in_o command_n say_v thou_o shall_v not_o kill_v and_o if_o not_o another_o much_o less_o thyself_o for_o thou_o must_v love_v thy_o neighbour_n as_o thyself_o first_o thyself_o and_o then_o thy_o neighbour_n as_o thyself_o the_o near_a the_o dear_a i_o kill_v and_o give_v life_n again_o say_v the_o lord_n of_o host_n we_o be_v not_o master_n of_o our_o own_o life_n but_o only_a steward_n and_o therefore_o may_v not_o spend_v they_o or_o end_v they_o when_o and_o how_o we_o please_v but_o even_o as_o god_n almighty_a who_o bestow_v they_o lest_o that_o we_o come_v and_o defile_v our_o body_n which_o ought_v ever_o to_o be_v keep_v clean_o and_o set_v in_o order_n as_o murderer_n be_v enemy_n against_o god_n who_o image_n they_o deface_v against_o their_o neighbour_n who_o be_v all_o member_n with_o they_o of_o one_o common_a weal_n and_o politic_a body_n so_o be_v the_o most_o cruel_a enemy_n against_o themselves_o because_o by_o natural_a instinct_n every_o creature_n labour_v to_o preserve_v itself_o the_o fire_n ●●●yeth_v with_o the_o water_n the_o water_n fight_v with_o the_o fire_n the_o most_o silly_a worm_n do_v contend_v with_o the_o most_o strong_a man_n to_o preserve_v itself_o and_o therefore_o we_o be_v not_o to_o butcher_v our_o neighbour_n or_o ourselves_o but_o to_o expect_v god_n pleasure_n and_o leisure_n to_o let_v we_o depart_v in_o peace_n see_v that_o we_o must_v all_o die_v and_o not_o live_v that_o bloody_a tyrant_n nero_n have_v his_o hand_n so_o stain_v with_o the_o guilt_n of_o innocent_a blood_n that_o when_o god_n see_v that_o he_o will_v not_o repent_v and_o set_v his_o house_n in_o order_n cause_v he_o to_o die_v both_o a_o sudden_a and_o a_o shameful_a death_n and_o thus_o god_n deal_v with_o many_o more_o who_o i_o shall_v leave_v to_o your_o consideration_n wherefore_o that_o you_o may_v not_o taste_v of_o the_o same_o sauce_n while_o it_o be_v say_v to_o day_n set_v your_o house_n in_o order_n get_v they_o thorough_o cleanse_v from_o all_o guilt_n and_o especial_o from_o the_o guilt_n of_o blood_n and_o then_o when_o you_o die_v you_o shall_v receive_v incorruptible_a crown_n you_o shall_v be_v like_a king_n and_o prince_n all_o coheir_n in_o the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n which_o for_o excellency_n be_v far_o beyond_o thought_n and_o glorious_a beyond_o report_n second_o as_o the_o body_n before_o it_o can_v be_v set_v in_o order_n must_v be_v thorough_o cleanse_v from_o the_o guilt_n of_o blood_n so_o must_v it_o likewise_o be_v purge_v throughout_o and_o scour_v well_o of_o all_o the_o pollution_n and_o corruptive_a dregs_o which_o adultery_n leave_v behind_o it_o they_o be_v not_o a_o few_o it_o be_v a_o quotidian_n fever_n to_o the_o corpse_n a_o canker_n to_o the_o mind_n a_o corrosive_n to_o the_o conscience_n and_o a_o mortal_a bone_n to_o all_o the_o body_n it_o be_v a_o efficient_a cause_n of_o more_o cruel_a malady_n in_o the_o body_n than_o any_o
