papist_n consider_v fight_v against_o the_o king_n authority_n be_v merit_n and_o die_v in_o that_o quarrel_n be_v martyrdom_n their_o propensity_n to_o the_o sin_n of_o rebellion_n need_v not_o those_o two_o double_a incentives_n to_o it_o viz._n if_o they_o succeed_v heaven_n and_o ireland_n be_v they_o if_o they_o succeed_v not_o heaven_n be_v they_o his_o sacred_a majesty_n will_v have_v but_o little_a hold_n of_o man_n who_o be_v act_v by_o such_o principle_n and_o by_o such_o belief_n i_o desire_v also_o it_o may_v observe_v this_o bull_a be_v send_v they_o in_o may_n 1643._o at_o which_o time_n the_o irish_a papist_n be_v in_o the_o height_n of_o their_o rebellion_n for_o they_o then_o have_v neither_o cessation_n or_o peace_n to_o plead_v which_o may_v entitle_v they_o so_o much_o as_o to_o the_o name_n of_o subject_n it_o may_v be_v also_o this_o pope_n make_v they_o the_o more_o cheerful_o swear_v neither_o to_o seek_v or_o receive_v direct_o or_o indirect_o a_o pardon_n from_o a_o king_n i_o hope_v the_o reader_n will_v also_o observe_v that_o the_o design_n of_o the_o irish_a papist_n by_o their_o rebellion_n what_o ever_o they_o pretend_v for_o it_o be_v no_o less_o than_o to_o extirpate_v and_o total_o root_n out_o the_o protestant_n and_o this_o attest_v by_o the_o pope_n himself_o which_o he_o call_v a_o gallant_a act_n and_o a_o imitation_n of_o and_o design_n as_o the_o pope_n own_v the_o say_v irish_a papist_n to_o be_v and_o incourage_v they_o to_o persevere_v in_o with_o assurance_n of_o pardon_n here_o and_o heaven_n hereafter_o be_v not_o very_o likely_a to_o be_v obedient_a subject_n to_o the_o king_n or_o good_a neighbour_n to_o their_o fellow_n subject_n yet_o not_o one_o of_o they_o suffer_v mere_o for_o his_o religion_n and_o many_o of_o they_o though_o guilty_a be_v pardon_v and_o restore_v this_o practical_o and_o clear_o show_v the_o difference_n between_o the_o true_a mother_n and_o the_o false_a mother_n as_o also_o how_o much_o more_o consonant_a to_o christ_n doctrine_n and_o practise_v the_o head_n of_o the_o protestant_a church_n do_v act_n than_o the_o head_n of_o the_o popish_a church_n do_v act_n and_o man_n can_v in_o nothing_o be_v so_o well_o like_a unto_o god_n as_o in_o be_v merciful_a as_o god_n be_v merciful_a but_o for_o all_o p._n w_n fence_v i_o be_o confident_a be_v his_o
