company_n they_o think_v they_o have_v better_o leave_v they_o out_o than_o have_v their_o presence_n who_o will_v not_o hearty_o join_v in_o the_o request_n that_o be_v make_v to_o god_n and_o who_o desire_v not_o his_o grace_n or_o seek_v his_o favour_n to_o such_o it_o may_v be_v say_v that_o it_o be_v the_o duty_n even_o of_o wicked_a man_n to_o pray_v to_o god_n and_o you_o know_v not_o what_o success_n their_o join_n with_o you_o may_v be_v attend_v with_o some_o have_v date_v their_o first_o conviction_n and_o conversion_n from_o family_n prayer_n and_o instruction_n you_o know_v child_n be_v so_o manifest_a and_o their_o duty_n to_o oblige_v they_o to_o join_v in_o the_o worship_n of_o god_n be_v so_o plain_a that_o it_o be_v principal_o as_o to_o scornful_a or_o stubborn_a servant_n that_o this_o objection_n speak_v and_o as_o to_o they_o unless_o they_o prove_v much_o otherwise_o than_o you_o think_v they_o will_v you_o be_v great_o to_o blame_v in_o admit_v such_o and_o after_o trial_n of_o other_o mean_n for_o their_o conviction_n and_o cure_n if_o they_o can_v be_v remove_v you_o ought_v to_o do_v it_o psal_n 101.4_o 5_o 7._o a_o froward_a heart_n shall_v child_n be_v no_o better_a than_o other_o man_n child_n their_o servant_n be_v no_o better_o than_o other_o man_n servant_n they_o themselves_o not_o better_a than_o their_o prayerless_a neighbour_n they_o be_v one_o thing_n on_o their_o knee_n and_o another_o on_o their_o foot_n they_o be_v as_o vain_a and_o worldly_a as_o proud_a and_o passionate_a as_o hard_o to_o the_o poor_a as_o false_a in_o their_o deal_n as_o revengeful_a and_o inexorable_a as_o other_o etc._n etc._n will_v to_o god_n there_o be_v no_o ground_n for_o this_o objection_n woe_n be_v to_o the_o world_n because_o of_o such_o offence_n but_o woe_n be_v to_o they_o by_o who_o they_o come_v who_o can_v tell_v what_o unspeakable_a mischief_n such_o do_v who_o keep_v up_o the_o worship_n of_o god_n in_o their_o family_n and_o yet_o walk_v disorderly_a in_o their_o daily_a conversation_n who_o begin_v with_o god_n in_o the_o morning_n and_o keep_v company_n with_o the_o devil_n all_o the_o day_n after_o what_o stumbling-block_n do_v they_o lay_v in_o the_o way_n of_o ignorant_a child_n and_o ungodly_a servant_n and_o neighbour_n who_o be_v acquaint_v with_o it_o they_o tempt_v they_o to_o be_v atheist_n and_o deny_v god_n and_o make_v they_o question_v the_o reality_n of_o religion_n but_o whatever_o hypocrisy_n any_o such_o may_v be_v guilty_a of_o in_o such_o like_a duty_n it_o will_v not_o discharge_v you_o from_o the_o obligation_n to_o perform_v they_o sincere_o you_o may_v as_o well_o refuse_v to_o join_v in_o public_a worship_n because_o some_o constant_a hearer_n be_v no_o better_a than_o some_o of_o those_o who_o stay_v away_o and_o turn_v their_o back_n upon_o all_o such_o positive_a institution_n however_o it_o be_v not_o the_o fruit_n of_o their_o pray_n but_o the_o want_n of_o seriousness_n and_o sincerity_n which_o provoke_v god_n to_o leave_v they_o to_o the_o power_n of_o temptation_n it_o be_v not_o long_o of_o christ_n and_o of_o the_o holy_a scripture_n and_o of_o religion_n and_o of_o christianity_n that_o any_o profess_v christian_n be_v so_o bad_a no_o ruler_n be_v ever_o so_o severe_a against_o sin_n as_o jesus_n christ_n no_o law_n be_v ever_o so_o strict_a in_o the_o forbid_a sin_n as_o the_o law_n of_o christ_n the_o rule_n be_v straight_o and_o the_o christian_a religion_n be_v not_o to_o be_v blame_v because_o some_o that_o profess_v it_o be_v not_o true_a to_o their_o own_o profession_n they_o condemn_v themselves_o and_o dishonour_n
