that_o make_v conscience_n of_o keep_v his_o covenant_n with_o god_n do_v not_o almost_o every_o one_o run_v on_o still_o in_o his_o own_o way_n serve_v himself_o and_o his_o lust_n sin_n and_o satan_n as_o if_o he_o have_v never_o enter_v into_o covenant_n with_o god_n or_o make_v any_o promise_n of_o obedience_n and_o so_o add_v unfaithfulnesse_n in_o break_v his_o covenant_n with_o god_n yea_o observe_v it_o and_o we_o shall_v see_v many_o so_o far_o from_o keep_v covenant_n with_o god_n that_o they_o grow_v worse_o afterward_o than_o they_o be_v before_o they_o come_v to_o the_o sacrament_n so_o how_o many_o be_v there_o who_o lie_v on_o their_o sick_a bed_n or_o in_o some_o great_a trouble_n or_o fear_n promise_n and_o serious_o vow_n that_o if_o god_n will_v raise_v they_o up_o again_o remove_v such_o or_o such_o a_o evil_a they_o will_v become_v new_a man_n etc._n etc._n and_o yet_o afterward_o be_v as_o bad_a yet_o worse_o than_o before_o and_o may_v we_o not_o also_o say_v there_o be_v many_o who_o have_v take_v the_o protestation_n or_o nationall_n covenant_n yet_o be_v careless_a in_o keep_v it_o yea_o willing_o break_v it_o by_o cause_v and_o foment_v division_n and_o dislike_n betwixt_o the_o king_n and_o his_o parliament_n and_o good_a subject_n by_o oppose_v and_o hinder_v the_o removal_n of_o scandalous_a image_n and_o picture_n some_o of_o which_o be_v most_o abominable_o evil_a and_o great_o abuse_v by_o many_o in_o who_o heart_n they_o stick_v fast_o than_o in_o the_o glass-window_n or_o wall_n though_o we_o hope_v otherwise_o till_o experience_n prove_v it_o to_o be_v true_a also_o by_o bow_v towards_o if_o not_o to_o the_o pretend_a altar_n or_o east_n etc._n etc._n i_o say_v no_o more_o but_o let_v every_o man_n conscience_n be_v his_o own_o judge_n in_o civil_a contract_n with_o man_n man_n will_v be_v ashamed_a that_o have_v any_o spark_n of_o ingenuity_n and_o common_a honesty_n in_o they_o if_o they_o break_v their_o word_n and_o solemn_a promise_n with_o man_n and_o shall_v we_o not_o much_o more_o for_o break_v covenant_n with_o god_n if_o we_o have_v never_o receive_v the_o sacrament_n neither_o the_o one_o nor_o the_o other_o and_o so_o never_o enter_v into_o covenant_n with_o god_n yet_o it_o be_v sin_n to_o we_o and_o sin_n be_v damnable_a to_o disobey_v god_n see_v we_o be_v all_o bind_v to_o yield_v obedience_n to_o god_n by_o virtue_n of_o our_o creation_n preservation_n and_o sustentation_n to_o be_v his_o and_o only_o he_o to_o serve_v he_o and_o he_o only_o for_o ever_o but_o after_o covenant_n with_o his_o highness_n to_o sin_n against_o he_o disobey_v his_o righteous_a and_o good_a command_n for_o so_o they_o all_o be_v rebel_v against_o his_o authority_n be_v much_o more_o grievous_a especial_o when_o withal_o we_o do_v serve_v sin_n and_o satan_n god_n and_o our_o own_o enemy_n it_o be_v a_o great_a aggravation_n of_o judas_n sin_n fore-prophesied_n psalm_n 55._o that_o he_o put_v forth_o his_o hand_n against_o such_o as_o be_v at_o peace_n with_o he_o and_o break_v his_o covenant_n ver_fw-la 20._o so_o it_o be_v a_o great_a aggravation_n of_o sin_n for_o a_o man_n that_o be_v in_o covenant_n with_o god_n to_o break_v his_o covenant_n and_o lift_v up_o the_o hand_n against_o god_n with_o who_o he_o have_v enter_v into_o term_n and_o conclusion_n of_o to_o the_o priest_n that_o break_v their_o covenant_n with_o god_n mal._n 2.10_o why_o do_v you_o deal_v treacherous_o every_o man_n by_o profane_v the_o covenant_n of_o god_n and_o add_v as_o he_o watchfulness_n etc._n etc._n so_o do_v all_o the_o godly_a all_o that_o true_o fear_v god_n more_o or_o less_o though_o they_o often_o fail_v in_o their_o obedience_n yet_o it_o be_v not_o wilful_o out_o of_o love_n and_o like_n of_o sin_n but_o out_o of_o ignorance_n weakness_n want_v of_o care_n etc._n etc._n but_o do_v never_o so_o sin_n as_o whole_o and_o wilful_o upon_o meditation_n to_o break_v their_o covenant_n with_o god_n 1_o john_n 3.9_o he_o that_o be_v bear_v of_o god_n sin_v not_o that_o be_v whosoever_o be_v regenerate_v and_o true_o godly_a he_o do_v not_o witting_o and_o willing_o sin_n he_o do_v not_o love_v sin_n and_o live_v and_o lie_v in_o sin_n in_o the_o breach_n of_o covenant_n as_o other_o do_v the_o ground_n be_v because_o his_o seed_n abide_v in_o he_o i.e._n because_o grace_n
