reform_v and_o save_v man_n and_o the_o wrath_n of_o god_n be_v therein_o reveal_v against_o all_o ungodliness_n and_o vnrighteousness_n of_o man_n however_o they_o may_v detain_v the_o truth_n of_o god_n in_o vnrighteousness_n and_o not_o suffer_v they_o to_o have_v their_o due_a and_o proper_a influence_n upon_o their_o heart_n and_o life_n but_o that_o i_o may_v give_v a_o more_o clear_a and_o particular_a answer_n to_o it_o i_o desire_v you_o to_o attend_v to_o these_o follow_a consideration_n 1._o it_o can_v be_v deny_v but_o that_o christianity_n have_v have_v once_o very_o great_a and_o no_o mention_n of_o the_o church_n of_o rome_n in_o this_o promise_n nor_o any_o where_o else_o in_o scripture_n upon_o the_o like_a occasion_n whereby_o we_o may_v be_v direct_v to_o understand_v that_o shall_v succeed_v they_o in_o it_o to_o the_o end_n of_o the_o world_n but_o how_o any_o man_n can_v construe_v this_o promise_n so_o as_o to_o make_v it_o signify_v the_o perpetual_a apostle_n at_o first_o and_o another_o reason_n as_o plain_n why_o it_o shall_v not_o be_v continue_v afterward_o it_o be_v reasonable_a and_o in_o some_o degree_n necessary_a that_o the_o apostle_n shall_v be_v thus_o assist_v at_o the_o first_o publication_n of_o the_o gospel_n namely_o to_o give_v satisfaction_n to_o the_o world_n that_o they_o be_v faithful_a and_o true_a witness_n of_o the_o doctrine_n and_o miracle_n of_o christ_n but_o since_o this_o doctrine_n and_o these_o miracle_n be_v record_v to_o posterity_n by_o those_o very_a person_n that_o be_v thus_o assist_v here_o be_v as_o plain_a a_o reason_n why_o after_o the_o gospel_n be_v plant_v and_o establish_v in_o the_o world_n this_o infallibility_n shall_v cease_v so_o long_o as_o we_o have_v a_o infallible_a and_o miraculous_a god_n be_v please_v to_o give_v witness_n to_o the_o first_o teacher_n and_o publisher_n of_o the_o gospel_n with_o sign_n and_o wonder_n and_o divers_a miracle_n and_o gift_n of_o continue_v in_o that_o dispensation_n in_o that_o more_o calm_a and_o secret_a way_n of_o assistance_n which_o offer_v less_o violence_n to_o the_o nature_n of_o man_n but_o which_o be_v intend_v for_o the_o constant_a and_o permanent_a dispensation_n so_o that_o we_o have_v no_o reason_n to_o think_v that_o god_n have_v now_o forsake_v his_o church_n though_o he_o be_v not_o with_o it_o in_o so_o sensible_a and_o extraordinary_a a_o manner_n but_o then_o if_o any_o particular_a church_n desire_n and_o expect_v this_o bless_a presence_n and_o assistance_n of_o god_n holy_a spirit_n we_o must_v remember_v that_o there_o be_v a_o condition_n to_o be_v perform_v on_o our_o part_n for_o how_o absolute_a soever_o this_o promise_n may_v be_v in_o respect_n of_o the_o church_n universal_a
