cause_n of_o great_a as_o you_o shall_v hear_v present_o for_o time_n that_o deprave_v all_o thing_n make_v at_o last_o the_o very_a monastery_n and_o religious_a order_n public_a nuisance_n those_o holy_a brother_n and_o sister_n degenerate_v whole_o from_o their_o primitive_a strictness_n and_o become_v abominable_a for_o pride_n idleness_n and_o luxury_n they_o be_v dissolve_v in_o ease_n riches_n and_o abundance_n the_o cry_n of_o their_o sin_n fill_v the_o earth_n and_o reach_v heaven_n and_o importune_v a_o final_a dissolution_n which_o according_o come_v upon_o they_o in_o the_o fifteen_o century_n and_o the_o reign_n of_o henry_n viii_o their_o final_a suppressor_n god_n nor_o man_n can_v endure_v their_o wickedness_n no_o long_o but_o a_o pretend_a visitation_n prove_v their_o dissolution_n some_o as_o ashamed_a of_o themselves_o be_v persuade_v to_o give_v up_o their_o seal_n and_o charter_n other_o be_v trick_v out_o of_o they_o through_o promise_n of_o preferment_n or_o fear_n of_o punishment_n and_o those_o that_o be_v obstinate_a be_v dissolve_v by_o act_n of_o parliament_n and_o thus_o a_o multitude_n of_o goodly_a building_n become_v ruinous_a heap_n and_o a_o place_n for_o wild_a beast_n and_o unclean_a bird_n a_o work_n perhaps_o not_o altogether_o so_o bad_a as_o it_o be_v represent_v if_o they_o have_v promote_v the_o high_a pleasure_n of_o god_n and_o work_v of_o piety_n and_o charity_n with_o the_o riches_n they_o find_v there_o as_o they_o pretend_v and_o the_o act_n of_o parliament_n for_o their_o dissolution_n seem_v to_o intend_v if_o also_o in_o their_o dissolution_n each_o of_o their_o acquest_n have_v return_v to_o their_o first_o principle_n the_o lay-gift_n to_o they_o of_o the_o laity_n and_o the_o church-possession_n to_o the_o several_a church_n from_o whence_o they_o have_v be_v take_v but_o that_o king_n and_o his_o favourite_n the_o instrument_n of_o his_o covetousness_n and_o oppression_n divide_v the_o spoil_n among_o they_o which_o though_o so_o infinite_a soon_o waste_v away_o and_o come_v to_o nothing_o and_o leave_v the_o first_o alienator_n as_o poor_a and_o as_o hungry_a as_o ever_o their_o family_n be_v most_o of_o they_o dissolve_v as_o the_o religious_a house_n be_v and_o like_o they_o become_v a_o heap_n and_o a_o ruin_n thus_o the_o tithe_n of_o so_o many_o church_n become_v lose_v to_o all_o purpose_n of_o religion_n and_o be_v among_o the_o other_o spoil_n carry_v away_o captive_a to_o serve_v luxury_n and_o pleasure_n whence_o they_o must_v now_o never_o return_v again_o but_o like_o the_o ten_o tribe_n be_v lose_v for_o evermore_o behold_v sir_n the_o effect_n of_o three_o contrary_a principle_n devotion_n superstition_n and_o covetousness_n devotion_n build_v we_o up_o church_n which_o stand_v still_o as_o its_o monument_n nor_o have_v bite_a time_n be_v able_a to_o devour_v they_o she_o endow_v as_o well_o as_o build_v they_o and_o settle_a person_n there_o to_o perform_v divine_a service_n to_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n and_o the_o good_a of_o mankind_n superstition_n will_v needs_o be_v meddle_v too_o till_o she_o have_v find_v way_n to_o transferr_v they_o from_o the_o several_a house_n of_o god_n to_o those_o common_o call_v house_n of_o religion_n and_o this_o under_o pretence_n of_o serve_a god_n more_o perfect_o but_o
