the_o preservation_n of_o communion_n in_o opposition_n to_o schism_n and_o separation_n with_o respect_n to_o the_o latter_a it_o imply_v mutual_a love_n and_o charity_n in_o opposition_n to_o quarrel_n and_o contention_n so_o that_o you_o see_v my_o business_n upon_o this_o first_o head_n must_v be_v to_o show_v what_o be_v the_o particular_n of_o our_o duty_n or_o what_o be_v the_o contradistinction_n to_o schism_n and_o this_o point_n i_o shall_v beg_v leave_n to_o discuss_v very_o plain_o and_o particular_o because_o i_o fear_v many_o of_o we_o have_v wrong_a notion_n about_o be_v all_o one_o as_o to_o our_o communicate_v with_o that_o which_o of_o these_o we_o join_v with_o suppose_v we_o join_v but_o with_o one_o of_o they_o and_o consequent_o there_o be_v no_o necessity_n from_o that_o principle_n that_o we_o shall_v hold_v communion_n with_o the_o public_a assembly_n of_o the_o national_a church_n but_o as_o to_o this_o i_o desire_v it_o may_v be_v consider_v that_o that_o which_o lay_v a_o obligation_n upon_o we_o to_o join_v in_o communion_n with_o the_o church_n to_o wit_n our_o be_v member_n of_o that_o one_o body_n of_o christ_n do_v also_o conscience_n thus_o for_o instance_n in_o the_o first_o place_n those_o that_o set_v up_o for_o patron_n of_o atheism_n or_o epicurism_n that_o make_v it_o their_o business_n in_o their_o conversation_n to_o expose_v all_o religion_n and_o to_o bring_v it_o into_o contempt_n that_o ridicule_n the_o professor_n of_o it_o as_o a_o company_n of_o easy_a credulous_a man_n that_o make_v no_o conscience_n of_o blaspheme_a god_n and_o all_o thing_n sacred_a as_o occasion_n be_v give_v they_o why_o these_o man_n may_v have_v zeal_n enough_o for_o their_o opinion_n and_o we_o find_v that_o they_o often_o have_v a_o great_a deal_n too_o much_o but_o be_v such_o to_o be_v treat_v with_o that_o sort_n of_o tenderness_n and_o compassion_n that_o we_o be_v now_o speak_v of_o no_o by_o no_o mean_n for_o they_o be_v quite_o out_o of_o the_o bound_n of_o my_o text_n they_o have_v a_o zeal_n indeed_o but_o it_o be_v not_o a_o zeal_n for_o god_n but_o for_o the_o devil_n and_o the_o interest_n of_o his_o kingdom_n and_o if_o one_o be_v to_o measure_v the_o greatness_n of_o crime_n by_o the_o mischief_n they_o do_v to_o humane_a society_n i_o shall_v think_v that_o this_o sort_n never_o so_o much_o recommend_v under_o the_o name_n of_o religion_n that_o contradict_v they_o and_o whatever_o allowance_n may_v in_o charity_n be_v make_v for_o a_o man_n mistake_n there_o be_v assistance_n by_o which_o we_o be_v enable_v to_o vanquish_v our_o corruption_n and_o to_o live_v up_o to_o the_o precept_n of_o our_o religion_n as_o christ_n by_o his_o resurrection_n do_v oblige_v we_o to_o lead_v new_a life_n as_o christ_n by_o his_o resurrection_n do_v demonstrate_v the_o truth_n of_o the_o christian_a religion_n which_o be_v whole_o in_o order_n to_o our_o lead_v new_a life_n as_o by_o his_o resurrection_n he_o clear_v up_o to_o we_o the_o certainty_n of_o our_o future_a state_n and_o thereby_o give_v we_o the_o great_a motive_n and_o encouragement_n to_o lead_v new_a life_n so_o in_o the_o last_o place_n by_o the_o same_o resurrection_n he_o acquire_v a_o power_n of_o confer_v grace_n and_o strength_n and_o influence_n upon_o we_o by_o the_o virtue_n of_o which_o we_o be_v in_o fact_n enable_v to_o lead_v new_a life_n though_o christ_n by_o his_o death_n reconcile_v we_o to_o god_n and_o procure_v a_o pardon_n of_o sin_n for_o we_o yet_o the_o actual_a benefit_n of_o this_o reconciliation_n the_o actual_a application_n of_o this_o pardon_n do_v depend_v upon_o our_o performance_n of_o certain_a condition_n which_o condition_n be_v that_o we_o shall_v mortify_v all_o our_o evil_a affection_n and_o frame_v our_o life_n suitable_a to_o the_o law_n of_o the_o gospel_n but_o now_o the_o grace_n and_o power_n by_o which_o we_o be_v enable_v to_o do_v this_o be_v not_o the_o effect_n of_o christ_n death_n but_o of_o his_o resurrection_n it_o be_v when_o he_o ascend_v up_o on_o high_a and_o lead_v captivity_n captive_a that_o be_v when_o he_o have_v vanquish_v death_n which_o have_v vanquish_v all_o the_o world_n before_o it_o be_v then_o as_o the_o scripture_n assure_v we_o and_o not_o till_o then_o that_o he_o be_v in_o a_o capacity_n
