without_o offence_n stay_v and_o see_v the_o manner_n of_o his_o administration_n ●and_v our_o participation_n in_o that_o ordinance_n to_o which_o our_o pastor_n answer_v in_o these_o very_a word_n or_o to_o this_o effect_n reverend_a sir_n you_o may_v not_o only_o stay_v to_o behold_v we_o but_o park_n with_o we_o if_o you_o please_v for_o we_o acknowledge_v the_o church_n of_o scotland_n to_o be_v the_o church_n of_o christ_n etc._n etc._n the_o minister_n also_o reply_v to_o this_o purpose_n if_o not_o also_o in_o the_o same_o word_n that_o for_o his_o part_n he_o can_v comfortable_a in_o that_o respect_n to_o be_v only_o a_o spectator_n of_o we_o these_o thing_n i_o be_v earnest_o request_v to_o publish_v to_o the_o world_n by_o some_o of_o thè_z godly_a presbyterian_a party_n who_o apprehend_v the_o world_n to_o be_v ignorant_a of_o our_o proceed_n conceive_v in_o charity_n that_o if_o they_o have_v be_v know_v some_o late_a writer_n and_o preacher_n will_v never_o have_v write_v and_o speak_v of_o we_o as_o they_o do_v and_o still_o do_v as_o they_o have_v occasion_n but_o what_o they_o ignorant_o judge_v write_v or_o speak_v of_o we_o i_o trust_v the_o lord_n in_o mercy_n will_v pass_v by_o in_o the_o next_o place_n for_o the_o wholesome_a counsel_n mr._n robinson_n gau●_v that_o part_n of_o the_o church_n whereof_o he_o be_v pastor_n at_o their_o departure_n from_o he_o to_o begin_v the_o great_a work_n of_o plantation_n in_o new-england_n among_o other_o wholesome_a instruction_n and_o exhortation_n he_o use_v these_o expression_n or_o to_o the_o same_o condition_n of_o the_o reform_a church_n who_o be_v come_v to_o a_o period_n in_o religion_n and_o will_v go_v no_o further_o than_o the_o instrument_n of_o their_o reformation_n as_o for_o example_n the_o lutheran_n they_o can_v not_o be_v draw_v to_o go_v beyond_o what_o luther_n see_v for_o whatever_o part_n of_o god_n will_v he_o have_v further_o impart_v and_o reveal_v to_o calvin_n they_o will_v rather_o die_v they_o embrace_v it_o and_o so_o also_o say_v he_o you_o see_v the_o calvinist_n they_o stick_v where_o he_o leave_v they_o a_o misery_n much_o to_o be_v lament_v for_o though_o they_o be_v precious_a shine_a light_n in_o their_o time_n yet_o god_n have_v not_o reveal_v his_o whole_a will_n to_o they_o and_o be_v they_o now_o live_v say_v he_o they_o will_v be_v as_o ready_a and_o willing_a to_o embrace_v further_a light_n as_o that_o they_o have_v receive_v here_o also_o he_o put_v we_o in_o mind_n of_o our_o church-covenant_n at_o least_o that_o part_n of_o it_o whereby_o we_o promise_v and_o covenant_n with_o god_n and_o one_o with_o another_o to_o receive_v whatsoever_o light_n or_o truth_n shall_v be_v make_v know_v to_o we_o from_o his_o write_a word_n but_o withal_o exhort_v we_o to_o take_v heed_n what_o we_o receive_v for_o truth_n and_o well_o to_o examine_v and_o compare_v and_o weigh_v it_o with_o other_o scripture_n of_o truth_n before_o we_o receive_v it_o for_o say_v he_o it_o be_v not_o possible_a the_o christian_a world_n shall_v come_v so_o late_o cut_v of_o su●h_n thick_a antichristian_a darkness_n and_o that_o full_a perfection_n and_o still_o be_v from_o separation_n from_o the_o church_n of_o christ_n especial_o those_o that_o be_v reform_v it_o be_v true_a we_o profess_v and_o desire_v to_o practice_v a_o separation_n from_o the_o world_n &_o the_o work_n of_o the_o world_n which_o be_v work_n of_o the_o flesh_n such_o as_o the_o apostle_n speak_v of_o ephes._n 5._o 19_o 20_o 21._o 1_o cor._n 6._o 9_o 10_o 11._o and_o ephes._n 2._o 11_o 12._o and_o as_o the_o church_n of_o christ_n be_v all_o saint_n by_o calling_n so_o wedesire_v to_o see_v the_o grace_n of_o god_n shine_v forth_o at_o least_o seem_o leave_v secret_a thing_n to_o god_n in_o all_o we_o admit_v into_o church_n fellowship_n with_o we_o &_o to_o keep_v off_o such_o as_o open_o wallow_v in_o the_o mire_n of_o their_o sin_n that_o neither_o the_o holy_a thing_n of_o god_n nor_o the_o communion_n of_o the_o saint_n may_v be_v leaven_v or_o pollute_v thereby_o and_o if_o any_o join_n to_o we_o former_o either_o when_o we_o live_v at_o be_v in_o that_o way_n and_o so_o know_v so_o far_o as_o a_o single_a congregation_n can_v be_v exercise_v in_o it_o yet_o never_o have_v the_o least_o molestation_n or_o disturbance_n and_o have_v and_o find_v as_o good_a respect_n from_o magistrate_n and_o people_n as_o other_o elder_n in_o the_o congregationall_a or_o primitive_a way_n it_o be_v know_v also_o that_o mr._n hubbard_n the_o minister_n at_o hengam_n have_v declare_v himself_o for_o that_o way_n nay_o which_o be_v more_o than_o ever_o i_o hear_v of_o the_o other_o two_o he_o refuse_v to_o baptize_v no_o child_n that_o be_v agent_n which_o he_o well_o like_v and_o where_o we_o have_v since_o four_o town_n settle_v and_o more_o may_v be_v for_o aught_o i_o know_v so_o that_o there_o they_o may_v have_v have_v a_o complete_a presbytery_n and_o whither_o they_o intend_v to_o have_v come_v but_o meet_v with_o manifold_a cross_n be_v half_a sea_n through_o they_o give_v over_o their_o intendment_n and_o as_o i_o by_o many_o and_o the_o hard_a measure_n as_o we_o hear_v impose_v upon_o our_o brethren_n for_o our_o sake_n nay_o pretend_v our_o example_n of_o their_o precedent_n and_o last_o of_o all_o not_o long_o before_o i_o come_v away_o certain_a discontent_a person_n in_o open_a court_n of_o the_o massachuset_n demand_v that_o liberty_n it_o be_v free_o and_o as_o open_o tender_v to_o they_o show_v their_o former_a practice_n by_o i_o mention_v but_o will_v not_o to_o expect_v that_o we_o shall_v provide_v they_o minister_n etc._n etc._n for_o the_o same_o but_o get_v such_o themselves_o they_o may_v exercise_v the_o presbyterian_a government_n at_o their_o liberty_n walk_v peaceable_o towards_o we_o as_o we_o trust_v we_o shall_v do_v towards_o they_o so_o that_o if_o our_o brethren_n here_o shall_v be_v restrain_v they_o walk_v peaceable_o the_o example_n must_v not_o be_v take_v from_o we_o but_o arise_v 〈◊〉_d some_o other_o principle_n but_o it_o will_v not_o be_v object_v
