bishop_n no_o king_n which_o aphorism_n though_o we_o find_v in_o sundry_a pamphlet_n of_o late_a year_n to_o have_v be_v explode_v with_o much_o confidence_n and_o scorn_n yet_o we_o must_v profess_v to_o have_v meet_v with_o very_o little_a in_o the_o proceed_n of_o the_o late_a time_n to_o weaken_v our_o belief_n of_o it_o and_o we_o hope_v we_o shall_v be_v the_o less_o blame_v for_o our_o unwillingness_n to_o have_v any_o actual_a concurrence_n in_o the_o extirpate_n of_o episcopal_a government_n see_v of_o such_o extirpation_n there_o be_v no_o other_o use_n imaginable_a but_o either_o the_o alienation_n of_o their_o revenue_n and_o inheritance_n which_o how_o it_o can_v be_v sever_v from_o sacrilege_n and_o injustice_n we_o leave_v other_o to_o find_v out_o or_o to_o make_v way_n for_o the_o introduce_n of_o some_o other_o form_n of_o church-government_n which_o whatsoever_o it_o shall_v be_v will_v as_o we_o think_v prove_v either_o destructive_a of_o and_o inconsistent_a with_o monarchical_a government_n or_o at_o leastwise_o more_o prejudicial_a to_o the_o peaceable_a orderly_a and_o effectual_a exercise_n thereof_o than_o a_o well-regulated_a endeavour_n to_o preserve_v and_o defend_v the_o king_n majesty_n person_n and_o authority_n be_v so_o limit_v as_o there_o it_o be_v by_o that_o addition_n in_o the_o preservation_n and_o defence_n of_o the_o true_a religion_n and_o liberty_n of_o the_o kingdom_n forasmuch_o as_o 1._o no_o such_o limitation_n of_o our_o duty_n in_o that_o behalf_n be_v to_o be_v find_v either_o in_o the_o oath_n of_o supremacy_n and_o allegiance_n which_o no_o papist_n will_v refuse_v to_o take_v with_o such_o a_o limitation_n nor_o in_o the_o protestation_n nor_o in_o the_o word_n of_o god_n 2._o our_o endeavour_n to_o preserve_v the_o right_n and_o privilege_n of_o parliament_n and_o the_o liberty_n of_o the_o kingdom_n be_v require_v to_o be_v swear_v of_o we_o in_o the_o same_o article_n be_v a_o testimony_n of_o the_o subject_n loyalty_n to_o our_o seem_a of_o a_o very_a strange_a nature_n which_o the_o principle_n of_o their_o several_a religion_n salve_v the_o conscience_n of_o a_o most_o resolute_a papist_n or_o sectary_n may_v secure_o swallow_v and_o the_o conscience_n of_o a_o good_a protestant_a can_v but_o str●in_n at_o in_o the_o four_o article_n 1._o we_o desire_v it_o
