that_o often_o thereby_o to_o see_v what_o be_v want_v to_o that_o ornament_n of_o grace_n or_o virtue_n which_o shall_v render_v he_o a_o perfect_a image_n of_o our_o saviour_n jesus_n christ_n but_o beside_o this_o often_o look_v on_o himself_o he_o must_v be_v do_v and_o practise_v upon_o himself_o namely_o add_v this_o virtue_n take_v away_o that_o vice_n or_o else_o he_o only_o look_v and_o but_o convex_v or_o round_a glass_n represent_v they_o less_o than_o they_o be_v and_o both_o the_o further_o off_o the_o weak_a they_o represent_v they_o so_o the_o word_n of_o god_n plain_o sincere_o and_o without_o any_o crooked_a intention_n hearken_v unto_o or_o read_v represent_v true_o the_o will_n of_o god_n unto_o we_o but_o if_o we_o make_v this_o word_n a_o convex_a glass_n one_o swell_v up_o with_o a_o bulk_n of_o pride_n or_o ambition_n to_o wrest_v it_o to_o our_o crooked_a sense_n than_o it_o represent_v the_o will_n of_o god_n abridge_v shorten_v or_o lessen_v not_o entire_o and_o plain_o as_o it_o be_v in_o itself_o whence_o preacher_n must_v learn_v to_o be_v sincere_a and_o faithful_a in_o the_o exposition_n of_o holy_a writ_n again_o as_o concave_a or_o hollow_a glass_n place_v against_o the_o sun_n be_v apt_a to_o cast_v a_o heat_n and_o burn_v whatsoever_o combustible_a matter_n be_v near_o they_o so_o the_o word_n of_o god_n look_v on_o with_o a_o humble_a eye_n a_o dint_a heart_n wherein_o it_o make_v the_o hollow_a of_o a_o sweet_a impression_n set_v on_o fire_n all_o the_o inordinate_a appetite_n to_o sin_n burn_v up_o all_o the_o stubble_n of_o vicious_a inclination_n and_o render_v a_o soul_n burn_v bright_a in_o flame_n of_o love_n to_o almighty_a god_n 25._o by_o this_o verse_n it_o be_v clear_a that_o the_o word_n of_o god_n be_v the_o glass_n here_o allude_v unto_o because_o the_o law_n of_o perfect_a liberty_n be_v that_o word_n of_o god_n the_o law_n and_o life_n of_o jesus_n christ_n whereby_o we_o be_v make_v child_n of_o god_n not_o slave_n to_o empty_a ceremony_n only_o as_o they_o under_o the_o slavish_a law_n of_o moses_n be_v he_o that_o have_v look_v fix_o not_o slight_o into_o the_o glass_n of_o perfect_a liberty_n and_o have_v remain_v in_o it_o not_o make_v a_o forgetful_a hearer_n this_o man_n shall_v be_v bless_v in_o his_o deed_n because_o his_o deed_n shall_v deserve_v a_o blessing_n by_o be_v such_o as_o this_o glass_n represent_v it_o shall_v be_v note_v by_o perfect_a liberty_n be_v not_o here_o understand_v liberty_n to_o do_v what_o we_o listen_v so_o we_o believe_v aright_o as_o luther_n hence_o pretend_v but_o first_o by_o liberty_n be_v here_o understand_v that_o which_o free_v we_o from_o the_o servility_n of_o the_o moysaicall_a law_n next_o that_o which_o free_v we_o from_o the_o slavery_n to_o sin_n and_o the_o devil_n three_o that_o which_o free_v we_o from_o compulsion_n or_o fear_n but_o leave_v we_o free_a to_o do_v well_o out_o of_o pure_a love_n to_o god_n not_o for_o fear_v of_o hell_n fourthly_a that_o liberty_n which_o by_o resurrection_n we_o shall_v have_v from_o death_n when_o we_o arise_v to_o life_n everlasting_a further_o by_o the_o close_a of_o this_o verse_n say_v that_o man_n shall_v be_v bless_v in_o his_o deed_n be_v mean_v he_o shall_v have_v the_o blessing_n here_o of_o grace_n in_o the_o next_o world_n of_o glory_n and_o that_o his_o blessing_n shall_v be_v give_v to_o his_o do_v not_o to_o his_o contemplate_v what_o be_v to_o be_v do_v 26._o by_o this_o place_n saint_n james_n allude_v to_o what_o he_o say_v in_o the_o nineteenth_o verse_n of_o this_o epistle_n of_o be_v quick_a to_o hear_v and_o slow_a to_o speak_v and_o not_o to_o be_v angry_a for_o by_o the_o laxity_n of_o the_o tongue_n the_o hand_n be_v as_o
