and_o drink_n offer_v annex_v unto_o it_o for_o as_o the_o sacrifice_n be_v for_o god_n so_o be_v this_o for_o man_n and_o herein_o the_o prophet_n teach_v we_o see_v his_o desire_n be_v not_o for_o continuance_n of_o plenty_n or_o restitution_n of_o abundance_n but_o for_o a_o meat_n offer_v and_o a_o drink_n offer_v which_o be_v a_o small_a portion_n of_o meal_n and_o oil_n and_o wine_n use_v in_o the_o service_n of_o god_n that_o we_o must_v rather_o impart_v our_o good_n to_o the_o lord_n worship_n then_o to_o the_o maintenance_n of_o our_o own_o life_n as_o david_n do_v with_o the_o water_n of_o bethleem_n religion_n 2._o sam._n 23._o 16._o 17._o i_o say_v we_o must_v have_v more_o care_n to_o serve_v god_n then_o to_o live_v at_o ease_n and_o we_o must_v rather_o want_v for_o belly_n be_v not_o serve_v before_o the_o lord_n will_v they_o which_o gain_n their_o meat_n by_o the_o life_n and_o sweat_n of_o other_o man_n do_v as_o david_n do_v offer_v it_o to_o the_o lord_n no_o no_o we_o have_v they_o among_o we_o which_o care_v not_o what_o pain_n and_o danger_n and_o trouble_v they_o procure_v to_o other_o so_o themselves_o may_v eat_v the_o flesh_n &_o drink_v the_o best_a the_o first_o reason_n because_o it_o be_v the_o lord_n portion_n that_o be_v allot_v thereto_o numb_a 18._o 8._o the_o lord_n for_o the_o rent_n 1._o of_o all_o our_o good_n and_o land_n which_o we_o hold_v of_o he_o as_o our_o chief_a lord_n have_v reserve_v but_o two_o part_n the_o one_o for_o the_o church_n and_o the_o other_o for_o the_o poor_a &_o if_o we_o pay_v not_o these_o we_o forfeit_v all_o yea_o more_o than_o all_o into_o the_o hand_n of_o his_o majesty_n grudge_v not_o therefore_o at_o the_o charge_n of_o the_o gospel_n for_o thousee_a how_o good_a thy_o farm_n be_v how_o small_a thy_o rent_n be_v how_o large_a thy_o lease_n be_v how_o few_o be_v thy_o covenant_n and_o how_o easy_a to_o be_v keep_v depart_v with_o it_o willing_o it_o be_v the_o lord_n shall_v not_o the_o master_n be_v serve_v before_o the_o man_n and_o shall_v not_o the_o lord_n be_v pay_v though_o our_o coffer_n say_v nay_o o_o my_o brethren_n pay_v he_o cheerful_o for_o you_o be_v bind_v by_o blood_n you_o be_v in_o danger_n to_o loose_v all_o and_o that_o worthy_o if_o you_o give_v not_o that_o little_a another_o reason_n because_o it_o be_v better_a to_o die_v in_o misery_n then_o to_o live_v in_o impiety_n &_o therefore_o it_o be_v better_a to_o 2_o live_v godly_a with_o want_n then_o wicked_o with_o abundance_n psal_n 37._o 16._o a_o little_a thing_n that_o the_o righteous_a have_v be_v better_a than_o the_o great_a riches_n of_o the_o ungodly_a therefore_o serve_v the_o lord_n before_o thy_o life_n and_o prefer_v his_o worship_n before_o thy_o appetite_n let_v not_o distrust_n hinder_v it_o the_o lord_n have_v enough_o for_o thou_o let_v not_o poverty_n stay_v thou_o for_o thou_o must_v live_v by_o the_o word_n as_o well_o as_o by_o bread_n do_v not_o refrain_v because_o thou_o have_v little_a for_o if_o thou_o have_v much_o he_o can_v scatter_v and_o have_v little_a he_o can_v multiply_v it_o fear_v not_o want_v in_o age_n doubt_v not_o of_o help_n in_o sickness_n and_o despair_v not_o of_o a_o supply_n when_o all_o be_v spend_v as_o god_n command_v thou_o the_o first_o use_n we_o must_v know_v 1_o that_o god_n love_v that_o most_o dear_o which_o we_o offer_v to_o he_o with_o the_o hazard_n of_o our_o own_o want_n for_o this_o cause_n do_v our_o saviour_n so_o much_o commend_v the_o action_n of_o the_o poor_a widow_n luc._n 21._o 4._o before_o all_o the_o abundant_a offering_n of_o the_o wealthy_a say_v that_o her_o two_o mite_n be_v more_o than_o all_o they_o because_o she_o do_v it_o of_o mere_a love_n to_o the_o lord_n but_o the_o other_o of_o superfluity_n and_o we_o if_o we_o have_v any_o mind_n to_o the_o like_a commendation_n let_v we_o put_v on_o the_o like_a affection_n although_o we_o labour_v with_o our_o hand_n watch_v above_o our_o hour_n and_o fast_o above_o our_o ordinary_n to_o give_v the_o bread_n of_o our_o life_n into_o the_o treasury_n of_o the_o lord_n neither_o ought_v we_o to_o think_v but_o that_o the_o lord_n do_v high_o accept_v the_o willing_a and_o rich_a offering_n of_o the_o wealthy_a especial_o if_o they_o reserve_v it_o from_o vain_a and_o proud_a expense_n
