by_o those_o jewish_a tithe_n and_o offering_n be_v not_o the_o minister_n of_o christ_n and_o a_o little_a after_o these_o priest_n and_o people_n still_o retain_v the_o leviticall_a decimation_n in_o the_o same_o form_n to_o the_o same_o end_n and_o page_n 16._o i_o can_v never_o see_v any_o difference_n between_o the_o jew_n and_o they_o save_v that_o the_o swineherd_n tythe-pïgges_a and_o goose_n etc._n etc._n to_o all_o which_o we_o thus_o answer_v first_o it_o be_v evident_a that_o the_o tithe_n be_v not_o hold_v among_o we_o by_o virtue_n of_o the_o leviticall_a law_n but_o only_o by_o the_o positive_a law_n of_o our_o land_n for_o proof_n whereof_o these_o reason_n follow_v may_v be_v sufficient_a first_o if_o this_o kind_n of_o maintenance_n be_v give_v to_o the_o minister_n for_o conscience_n and_o obedience_n to_o that_o law_n why_o shall_v not_o the_o first_o fruit_n also_o offering_n and_o diverse_a other_o thing_n which_o by_o a_o plain_a commandment_n be_v due_a to_o the_o leviticall_a priesthood_n be_v give_v we_o as_o well_o as_o tithe_n second_o the_o manner_n of_o tthe_v which_o in_o diverse_a part_n of_o our_o land_n be_v diverse_o use_v and_o which_o through_o custom_n also_o be_v many_o way_n alter_v prove_v that_o pay_v of_o tithe_n among_o we_o be_v not_o according_a to_o the_o leviticall_a law_n nor_o in_o religeous_a obedience_n thereunto_o three_o the_o law_n by_o consent_n of_o the_o state_n in_o the_o parliament_n have_v alenate_v the_o tithe_n in_o many_o place_n from_o the_o minister_n unto_o the_o prince_n and_o other_o man_n do_v thereby_o declare_v that_o it_o appoint_v not_o the_o pay_n of_o the_o tithe_n by_o virtue_n of_o the_o law_n of_o god_n four_o sundry_a of_o our_o minister_n be_v and_o that_o even_o in_o the_o judgement_n of_o our_o whole_a church_n lawful_o by_o other_o mean_v maintain_v then_o by_o tithe_n which_o be_v also_o a_o plain_a demonstration_n that_o both_o the_o leviticall_a law_n be_v not_o hold_v to_o be_v in_o force_n with_o we_o and_o if_o it_o be_v we_o may_v yet_o have_v some_o true_a minister_n in_o our_o land_n notwithstanding_o second_o as_o the_o prince_n without_o any_o show_n of_o jewish_a superstition_n may_v require_v of_o the_o minister_n first_o fruit_n and_o ten_o and_o of_o all_o the_o rest_n of_o the_o subject_n fifteen_o and_o subsidy_n for_o the_o maintenance_n of_o the_o war_n and_o other_o civil_a purpose_n so_o doubt_v we_o not_o but_o he_o may_v as_o well_o especial_o by_o act_n of_o parliament_n which_o be_v also_o the_o act_n
