then by them there changed was Into the likenesse of an Ox that eateth up the grasse 21 They forgat God their Saviour which had done great things in Egypt 21 They God their Saviour so forgat which by his mighty hand Had in his favour to them done great things in Egypt land 22 Wondrous works in the land of Ham and terrible things in the Red sea 22 Most wondrous works within the land of Ham performed he And things that were most terrible even hard by the red sea 23 Therefore he said that he would destroy them had not Moses his chosen stood before him in the breach to turn away his wrath lest he should destroy them 23 Therefore he said he would them slay had Moses his choise one Not stood in breach to turn his wrath from their destruction 24 Yea they despised the pleasant land they beleeved not his word 25 But murmured in their tents and hearkned not unto the voice of the Lord. 24 Yea they despisde the pleasant land they not believ'd his word 25 But murmur'd in their tents and not the voice heard of the Lord. 26 Therefore he lifted up his hand against them to overthrow them in the wildernesse 7 To overthrow their seed also among the nations and to scatter them in the lands 26 Therefore in desert them to slay 'gainst them he lifts his hands 27 'Mong nations to ov'rthrow their seed and scatter in the lands 28 They joyned themselves also unto Baal-Peor and ate the sacrifices of the dead 28 To Baal-Peor also they did joine themselves indeed And sacrifices ate that were then offred to the dead 29 Thus they provoked him to anger with their inventions and the plague brake in upon them 29 Thus unto anger they him there provoked by the sin Of their own ill inventions the plague on them brake in 30 Then stood up Phinehas and executed judgement and so the plague was stayed 30 But Phinehas then there did stand up and judgement he that day Did execute and so at last the fearfull plague did stay 31 And that was counted unto him for righteousnesse unto all generations for evermore 31 And unto him for righteousnesse that counted was therefore Yea unto generations all and that for evermore 32 They angred him also at the waters of strife so that it went ill with Moses for their sakes 32 They at the waters al 's of strife then did him angry make So that it there went very ill with Moses for their sake 33 Because they provoked his spirit so that he spake unadvisedly with his lips 33 Because that they his Spirit thus provoked bitterly So that he did then with his lips speak unadvisedly 34 They did not destroy the nations concerning whom the Lord commanded them 35 But were mingled among the heathen and learned their works 34 They as the Lord commanded them the Nations did not slay 35 But 'mong the heathen mingled were and learned so their way 36 And they served their idoles which were a snare unto them 37 Yee they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto devils 36 And they their idols then did serve which were to them a snare 37 Yea they to devils did sacrifice their sons and daughters there 38 And shed innocent blood even the blood of their sons and of their daughters whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan 38 Bloud innocent yea ev'n their Sons and daughters bloud they shed Whom to Canaans idols they then sacrifices made And the land was polluted with blood 29 Thus were they defiled with their ow works and went a whoring with their own in ventions The land polluted was with blood 39 Their works them did defile And so they then a whooring went with their inventions vile 40 Therefore was the wrath of the Lord kindled against his people insomuch that he abhorred his own inheritance 40 Against his people kindled was the wrath of God therefore In so much that he did his own inheritance abhorre 41 And he gave them into the hand of the heathen and they that hated them ruled over them 41 And he in wrath them gave into the hand of heathen men And they that them did greatly hate them overruled then 42 Their enemies also oppressed them and they were brought into subjection under their 〈◊〉 42 They that al 's were their enemies oppressd them in the land And they into subjection were brought underneath their hand 43 Many times did he deliver them but they provoked him with their counsell and were brought low for their iniquity 43 He many times deliv'red them but with their counsel they Did him provoke and were brought low for their iniquity 44 Neverthelesse he regarded their affliction when he heard their cry 45 And he remembred for them his covenant 44 Yet he their trouble did regard when as their cry he heard 45 And he the cov'nant that was his for them remembered And repented according to the multitude of his mercies 46 He made them also to be pitied of all those that carried them captives After his mercies multitude 46 he did repent And made Them to be piti'd of all that them captives carri'd had 47 Save us O Lord our God and gather us from among the heathen to give thanks unto thy holy name and to triumph in thy praise 47 O Lord our God do thou us save from 'mong the heathen gather To thank thy holy Name and in thy praise triumph together 48 Blessed be the Lord God

brasse hath broken and withall The barres that were of yron strong he cut in sunder all 17 Fools because of their transgression and because of their iniquities are afflicted 18 Their soul abhorreth unto the sons of men 32 Let them exalt him also in the congregation of the people and praise him in the assembly of the Elders 32 In peoples congregation al 's let them exalt him farre And in assembly give him praise of those that Elders are 33 He turneth rivers into a wildernesse and the water springs into dry ground 34 A fruitfull land into

CXIII PRaise ye the Lord. CXIV WHen Israel went out of Egypt the house of Iacob from a people of strange language WHen those that were of Israel went out of Egypt there And Jacobs house a people from that of strange language were 2 Iudah was his sanctuary and Israel his dominion 3 The sea saw it and fled Iordan was driven back 2 His Sanctuary Judah was his Kingdome was Isra'l 3 The sea it saw and it did flee driv'n back was Jordan all 4 The mountains skipped like rams and the little hils like lambs 5 What ailed thee O thou sea that thou fleddest thou Iordan that thou wast driven back 4 Like rams the mountains little hills like lambs did skipping make 5 Why fledst thou sea thou Jordan al 's that thou wast driven back 6 Ye mountains that ye skipped like rams and ye little hils like lambs 6 And likewise ye the mountains high that ye did skip like rams And ye the hills that little are like to the younger lambs 7 Tremble thou earth at the presence of the Lord at the presence of the God of Iacob 7 Now at the presence of the Lord earth tremble thou for fear Yea at the presence of the God of Jacob to him dear 8 Which turned the rock into a standing water the flint into a fountain of waters 8 Which into waters turn'd the rock there standing like a lake And in the flint a fountain fair of waters then did make PSAL. CXV NOt unto us O Lord not unto us but unto thy Name give glory for thy mercy and for thy truths sake NOt to us Lord not unto us but do thou glory take Unto thy Name both for thy truth and for thy mercies sake 2 Wherefore should the heathen say Where is now their God 3 But our God is in the heavens he hath done whatsoever he pleased 2 Wherefore should thus the heathen say where is their God now gone But in the heavens is our God he what he pleas'd hath done 4 Their idols are silver and gold the work of mens hands 5 They have mouths but they speak not eyes have they but they see not 4 Their idols silver are and gold
works of mens hands they be 5 Mouths have they but they do not speak eyes have they but not see 6 They have ears but they hear not noses have they but they smell not 7 They have hands but they handle not feet have they but they walk not neither speak they through their throat 6 Ears have they but hear not they have a nose but smell they not 7 Their hands not handle feet not walk nor speak they through their throat 8 They that make them are like unto them so is every one that trusteth in them 9 O Israel trust thou in the Lord he is their help and their shield 8 They that them make are like to them who trust in them so be 9 O Isra'l trust thou in the Lord their help and shield is he 10 O house of Aaron trust in the Lord he is their help and their sheild 11 Ye that fear the Lord trust in the Lord he is their help and their shield 10 O Aarons house trust in the Lord their help and shield is he 11 Ye that fear God trust in the Lord their help and shield is he 12 The Lord hath been mindfull of us he will blesse us he will blesse the house of Israel he will blesse the house of Aaron 12 The Lord of us hath mindfull been yea he will blesse us still He will blesse Isra'ls house the house of Aaron blesse he will 13 He will blesse them that fear the Lord both small and great 14 The Lord shall increase you more and more you and your children 13 He will them blesse that fear the Lord and that both great and small 14 The Lord increase you more and more you and your children shall 15 You are blessed of the Lord which made heaven and earth 16 The heaven even the heavens are the Lords but the earth hath he given to the children of men 5 You of the Lord all blessed are which made the earth and heav'n 6 The heav'n the heav'ns are Gods but he earth to mens sons hath giv'n 17 The dead praise not the Lord neither any that go down into silence 18 But we will blesse the Lord from this time forth and for overmore Praise the Lord. 17 The dead nor who to silence go Gods praise do not record 18 But henceforth and for evermore wee 'le blesse God praise the Lord. PSAL. CXVI I Love the Lord because he hath heard my voice and my supplications 2 Because he hath enclined his ear unto me therefore will I call upon him as long as I live I Love the Lord because my voice and prayers heard hath he 2 I while I live will call on him who bow'd his ear to me 3 The sorrows of death compassed me and the pains of hell got hold upon me I found trouble and sorrow 3 The sorrows that I had of death encompassed me round And on me pains of hell got hold I trouble sorrow found 4 Then called I upon the Name of the Lord O Lord I beseech thee deliver my soul. 4 Upon the Name then of the Lord I called in this speech Do thou deliver this my soul O Lord I thee beseech 5 Gracious is the Lord and righteous yea our God is mercifull 6 The Lord preserveth the simple I was brought low and he helped me 5 God gracious and righteous is yea mercifull's our Lord 6 God saves the simple he to me brought low did help afford 7 Return unto thy rest O my soul for the Lord hath dealt bountifully with thee 7 Do thou return unto thy rest O thou my soul in me For bountifully hath the Lord in all things dealt with thee 8 For thou hast delivered my soul from death mine eyes from tears and my feet from falling â—… For this my soul it was from death delivered by thee Mine eyes from tears and al 's my feet from falling thou didst free 9 I will walk before the Lord in the land of the living 10 I beleeved therefore have I spoken I was greatly afflicted 9 I in the land of living men will walk the Lord before 10 I did believe therefore I spake I was afflicted sore 11 I said in my hast All men are liers 12 What shall I render unto the Lord for all his benefites towards me 11 When I was in my haste I said that all men liers be 12 What shall I render God for all his benefites to me 13 I will take the cup of salvation and call upon the Name of the Lord. 14 I will pay my vows unto the Lord now in the presence of all his people 13 I 'le of salvation take the cup on Gods Name will I call 14 I 'le pay my vows now to the Lord before his people all 15 Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints 16 O Lord truly I am thy servant I am thy servant and the son of thy handmaid thou hast loosed my bonds 15 In Gods sight his Saints death is dear 16 Lord I 'm thy servant fast Thy servant I 'm thy handmaids son my bonds thou loosed hast 17 I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving and will call upon the Name of the Lord. 18 I will pay my vows unto the Lord now in the presence of all his people 17 I 'le give thee sacrifice of thanks and on Gods Name will call 18 I 'le to the Lord now pay my vows before his people all 19 In the courts of the Lords house in the midst of thee O Ierusalem Praise yee the Lord. 19 Within the courts of Gods own house within the midst of thee O city of Jerusalem praise to the Lord give yee PSALME CXVII O Praise the Lord all ye nations praise him all ye people O Give ye praise unto the Lord ye nations all that be And also ye the people all unto him praise give ye 2 For his mercifull kindnesse is great towards us and the trueth of the Lord endureth for ever Praise ye the Lord. 2 For great 's his kindnesse mercifull he doth to us afford The Lord his truth for ever lasts O do ye praise the Lord. PSAL. CXVIII O Give thanks unto the Lord for he is good because his mercy endureth for ever 2 Let Israel now say that his mercy endureth for ever O Thank the Lord for he is good his mercy lasts for ay 2 That still his mercy doth endure let Israel now say 3 Let the house of Aaron now say that his mercy endureth for ever 4 Let them now that fear the Lord say that his mercy endureth for ever 3 And that for ay his mercy lasts let Aarons house now say 4 Let them now say that fear the Lord his mercy lasts for ay 5 I called upon the Lord in distresse the Lord answered me and set me in a large place 5 I called then upon the Lord when I was in distresse The Lord to me an answer gave and he inlarg'd my place 6 The Lord is on my side I

word 18 Open thou mine eyes that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law 19 I am a stranger in the earth hide not thy commandments from me 18 Mine eyes unclose that of thy law the wonders I may see 19 I in the earth a stranger am hide not thy laws from me 20 My soul breaketh for the longing that it hath unto thy judgements at all times 20 My soul it doth within me break ev'n for the longing great That to the judgements that are thine at all times is in it 21 Thou hast rebuked the proud that are cursed which do erre from thy commandements 22 Remove from me reproach and contempt for I have kept thy testimonies 21 Thou hast rebuk'd the cursed proud which from thy precepts erre 22 From me for I thy lawes have keept reproach contempt put far 23 Princes also did sit and speak against me but thy servant did meditate in thy statutes 23 The Princes they did sit also and speak against me ill But meditate thy servant did upon thy statuts still 24 Thy testimonies also are my delight and my counsellers 24 The chief delight of all my heart thy testimonies be And they what ev'r I have to do are counsellers to me Daleth 25 My soul cleaveth unto the dust quicken thou me according to thy word 26 I have declared my wayes and thou heardest me teach me thy statutes 25 My soul to dust cleaves quicken me according to thy word 26 My wayes I shew'd and me thou heardst teach me thy statutes Lord. 27 Make me to understand the way of thy precepts so shall I talk of thy wondrous works 27 Make me to understand the way of those thy precepts all So of thy workes that wondrous are with knowledge talk I shall 28 My soul melteth away for heavinesse strengthen thou me according unto thy word 28 My troubled soul doth melt away for heavinesse O Lord In mercy do thou strengthen me according to thy word 29 Remove from me the way of lying and grant me thy law graciously 29 From me the way of lying all removed let it be And graciously thy holy law do thou grant unto me 30 I have chosen the way of truth thy judgements have I laid before me 30 The way that is of truth I have now chosen by and by And all the judgements that are thine before me laid have I. 31 I have stuck unto thy testimonies O Lord put me not to shame 32 I will run the way of thy commandments when thou shalt enlarge my heart 31 I to thy testimonies stuck let shame not make me smart 32 Thy precepts way I 'le run when as thou shalt enlarge my heart He. 33 Teach me O Lord the way of thy statutes and I shall keep it unto the end 33 Lord of thy statutes teach thou me the way thou dost intend And I shall then most carefully it keep unto the end 34 Give me understanding and I shall keep thy law yea I shall observe it with my whole heart 34 Give understanding unto me and I in every part Shall keep thy law yea it I shall quicken me Vau. 41 Let thy mercies come also unto me O Lord even thy salvation according to thy word 41 And do thou let thy mercies al 's come unto me O Lord Ev'n the salvation that is thine according to thy word 42 So shall I have wherewith to answer him that reproacheth me for I trust in thy word 42 So shall I have wherewith I may an answer well afford Unto him that reproacheth me for I trust in thy word 43 And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth for I have hoped in thy judgements 43 The word of truth out of my mouth take thou not utterly For in the judgements that are thine my hope it doth rely 44 So shall I keep thy law continually for ever and ever 45 And I will walk at liberty for I seek thy precepts 44 So I 'le for ever and ever keep thy law continually 45 Because that I thy precepts seek I 'le walk at liberty 46 I will speak of thy testimonies also before kings and will not be ashamed 47 And I will delight my self in thy commandements which I have loved 46 I 'le not be sham'd when of thy laws to Kings I mention make 47 In thy commands which I have lov'd I my delight will take 48 My hands also will I lift up unto thy commandements which I have loved and I will meditate in thy statutes 48 To thy belov'd commandements my hands lift up I will And I will also meditate upon thy statutes still Zain 49 Remember the word unto thy servant upon which thou hast caused me to hope 49 Remember on the word thou didst unto thy servant say Upon the which thou hast in hope me caused for to stay 50 This is my comfort in my affliction for thy word hath quickned me 50 This is in mine affliction my comfort made to be For thine own word that lively is hath surely quickned me 51 The proud have had me greatlie in derision yet have I not declined from thy law 51 Me greatly in derision have had the proud in minde Yet I for that have not at all once from thy law declin'd 52 I remembred thy judgements of old O Lord and have comforted my self 52 The judgemēts which are thine O Lord which thou of old us gave I did remember and my self comforted so I have 53 Horrour hath taken hold upon me because of the wicked that forsake thy law 54 Thy statutes have been my songs in the house of my pilgrimage 53 Because ill men forsake thy law much horrour did me take 54 In house of this my pilgrimage thy laws my songs I make 55 I have remembred thy Name O Lord in the night and have kept thy law 56 This I had because I kept thy precepts 55 Thy

CXXXI LOrd my heart is not haughty nor mine 〈◊〉 loâ—…ty neither do I exercise my self in greâ—… matters or in things too high for me MIne heart O Lord not haughtie is mine eyes not loâ—…ty be I meddle not in matters great or things too high for me 2 Surely I have behaved and quieted my self as a child that is weaned of his mother 2 Surely my self I have behav'd and quieted in this Most like unto a childe that of his mother weaned is My soul is even as a weaned child 3 Let Israel hope in the Lord from henceforth and for ever My soul 's ev'n as a weaned child 3 Let Israel altogether Put all their hope into the Lord from henceforth and for ever PSAL. CXXXII LOrd remember David and all his afflictions 2 How he sware unto the Lord and voweâ—… unto the mightâ—…e God of Iacob DAvid and his afflictions all O Lord remember thou 2 How to God Jacobs mighty God he sware and made a vow 3 Surely I will not come into the tabernacle of my house nor go up into my bed 4 I will not give sleep to mine eyes or slumber to my eye-lids 3 Sure to my house tent I 'le not come nor to my bed up go 4 Sleep to mine eyes or mine eye-lids I 'le slumber not give to 5 Untill I finde out a place for the Lord an habitation for the mighty God of Iacob 5 Untill that I do for the Lord a place to make abode Find out an habitation for Jacobs mighty God 6 Lo we heard of it at Ephrata we found it in the fields of the wood 6 Lo at the place of Ephrata of it we understood And we did find it in the fields that were within the wood 7 We will go into his tabernacles we will worship at his footstool 8 Arise O Lord into thy rest thou and the ark of thy strength 7 We at his footstool worship will we to his tents will go 8 Thou Lord and of thy strength the ark arise thy rest into 9 Let thy priests be clothed with righteousnesse and let thy saints shout for joy 9 Let thou thy priests with righteousnesse be clothed all about And let all them that are thy saints for joy most gladly shout 10 For thy servant Davids sake turn not away the face of thine anointed 10 Of thine Anointed let the face away not turned be And that for Davids sake who is a servant unto thee 11 The Lord hath sworn in truth unto David he will not turn from it of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne 11 God hath to David sworn in truth not turn he will from it The fruit I 'le of thy body make upon thy Throne to sit 12 If thy children will keep my covenant anâ—… my testimonie that I shall teach them their children also shall sit upon thy throne for evermore 12 My covenant if thy children keep and law I teach them all Upon thy Throne for ever sit their children also shall 13 For the Lord hath chosen Zion he hath desired it for his habitation 14 This is my rest for ever heere will I dwell for I have desired it 13 For God of Zion hath made choise to dwell there he requir'd 14 This still my rest is heer I 'le dwell for I have it desir'd 15 I will abundantly blesse her provision I will satisfie her poor with bread 15 I will blesse her provision and that abundantly And those that are her poor I will with bread all satisfy 16 I will also clothe her priests with salvation and her saints shall shout aloud for joy 16 I with salvation will also her priests all cloath about And these that are her Saints likewise for joy aloud shall shout 17 There will I make the horn of David to bud I have ordained a lamp for mine anointed 17 There I the horn of David will make for to bud anone A lamp I there ordained have for mine Anointed one 18 His enemies will I clothe with shame but upon himself shall his crown flourish 18 Those who to him are enemies I 'le cloath with shame eachone But yet the crown that is his own himself shall flourish on PSAL. CXXXIII BEhold how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in amity BEhold how good a thing it is how pleasant must it be For Brethren thus together heer to dwell in unitie 2 It is like the precious ointment upon the head that ran down upon the beard even Aarons beard that went down to the skirts of his garments 2 Like precious ointment on the head it 's that the beard ran on Ev'n Aarons beard that to the skirts went of his garments down 3 As the dew of Hermon and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion for there the Lord commanded the blessing even life for evermore 3 As Hermons dew as dew which down the Zions hills ran o're For there the blessing God commands ev'n life for evermore PSAL. CXXXIIII BEhold blesse ye the Lord all ye servants of the Lord which by night stand in the house of the Lord. BEhold blesse ye the Lord all ye that serve the Lord aright Ye who of him that is the Lord stand in the house by night 2. Lift up your hands in the sanctuary and blesse the Lord. 3 The Lord that made heaven and earth blesse thee out of Sion 2 Your hands lift in the Sanctuary and there the Lord blesse ye 3 The Lord that heaven made and earth blesse out of Zion thee PSAL. CXXXV PRaise the Lord praise ye the Name of the Lord praise him O ye servants of the LORD 2 Ye that stand in the house of the Lord in the courts of the house of our God PRaise God ye servants of the Lord praise Gods name praise him ye 2 Who in Gods house stand in the courts of our Gods house that be 3 Praise the Lord for the Lord is good sing praises unto his Name for it is pleasant 3 Praise ye the Lord for God is good and praises do ye sing Unto his Name and that because it is a pleasant thing 4
himself in his wickednesse But in the great abundance of his richesse trusted he And he in his own wickednesse himself made strong to be 8 But I am like a green olive-tree in the house of God I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever 8 But I am in the house of God like a green olive tree For ever and for ay my trust shall in Gods mercie bee 9 I will praise thee for ever because thou hast done it and I will wait on thy Name for it is good before thy saints 9 Because that thou thus hast it done I 'le praise thee evermore And on thy name I 'le wait for it is good thy saints before PSAL. And to thy statuts I will have respect continually 118 Thou hast trodden down all them that erre from thy statutes for their deceit is falshood 118 Them all that from thy statuts erre thou hast trod
