be_v feel_v which_o we_o now_o believe_v but_o because_o faith_n must_v go_v before_o feeling_n and_o experience_n and_o we_o must_v believe_v the_o word_n although_o we_o feel_v in_o our_o own_o heart_n and_o judgement_n never_o so_o much_o to_o the_o contrary_n as_o when_o our_o heart_n oppress_v with_o calamity_n do_v think_v god_n to_o be_v angry_a with_o we_o not_o to_o care_v for_o we_o but_o to_o hate_v we_o then_o faith_n clean_a contrary_n must_v thus_o assure_v itself_o that_o with_o god_n there_o be_v neither_o anger_n nor_o hatred_n that_o he_o neither_o think_v of_o himself_o this_o rest_n &_o it_o have_v please_v he_o to_o dwell_v in_o this_o place_n so_o it_o come_v not_o of_o our_o desert_n that_o we_o enjoy_v the_o gospel_n and_o other_o great_a blessing_n of_o god_n all_o these_o be_v the_o gift_n of_o god_n through_o his_o great_a mercy_n and_o goodness_n bestow_v upon_o we_o for_o christ_n sake_n verse_n 15._o her_o victual_n i_o will_v bless_v and_o satan_n the_o terror_n of_o conscience_n and_o desperation_n and_o with_o boldness_n lay_v hold_v on_o the_o mercy_n of_o god_n albeit_o not_o only_o the_o promise_n of_o god_n make_v unto_o we_o when_o we_o pray_v join_v with_o the_o commandment_n but_o also_o the_o necessity_n that_o constrain_v we_o thereto_o make_v this_o difficulty_n and_o labour_n more_o easy_a in_o the_o exercise_n of_o prayer_n when_o it_o proceed_v of_o faith_n for_o true_a prayer_n can_v not_o be_v without_o faith_n yea_o these_o two_o the_o promise_n i_o mean_v and_o tribulation_n do_v make_v our_o prayer_n hearty_a and_o fervent_a in_o these_o exercise_n yourselves_o &_o use_v prayer_n in_o your_o chamber_n secret_o and_o with_o yourselves_o alone_o as_o christ_n command_v and_o if_o satan_n go_v about_o to_o hinder_v this_o prayer_n as_o he_o be_v wont_a then_o close_o your_o eye_n and_o say_v behold_v lord_n here_o be_v trouble_v and_o anguish_n here_o be_o i_o in_o danger_n such_o a_o brother_n be_v grievous_o afflict_v thus_o or_o thus_o he_o be_v vex_v of_o satan_n the_o time_n suffer_v i_o not_o now_o once_o to_o think_v whether_o i_o be_v worthy_a to_o be_v hear_v help_v now_o in_o time_n oh_o lord_n according_a to_o thy_o word_n etc_n etc_n thus_o if_o we_o consider_v the_o danger_n on_o the_o one_o side_n and_o also_o the_o promise_n on_o the_o other_o do_v fly_v unto_o god_n for_o succour_n in_o our_o distress_n we_o shall_v vanquish_v satan_n and_o get_v the_o victory_n after_o this_o manner_n david_n by_o his_o own_o example_n stir_v we_o up_o to_o prayer_n not_o only_o in_o the_o danger_n of_o devilish_a doctrine_n but_o also_o in_o all_o other_o trouble_v and_o if_o thou_o do_v so_o presume_v of_o god_n that_o thou_o become_v even_o impudent_a and_o shameless_a it_o shall_v please_v god_n high_o according_a to_o that_o which_o follow_v and_o he_o hear_v i_o as_o if_o he_o shall_v say_v the_o lord_n declare_v that_o our_o prayer_n please_v he_o which_o we_o make_v with_o a_o trust_n and_o confidence_n in_o his_o promise_n and_o mercy_n that_o he_o hear_v our_o prayer_n and_o here_o see_v that_o thou_o diligent_o learn_v this_o name_n and_o title_n which_o david_n here_o give_v unto_o he_o prayer_n that_o he_o be_v auditor_n precum_fw-la the_o hearer_n of_o prayer_n and_o beware_v when_o thou_o pray_v that_o by_o doubt_v or_o incredulity_n thou_o take_v not_o from_o he_o this_o name_n as_o many_o time_n we_o do_v against_o this_o doubt_a david_n go_v about_o to_o confirm_v and_o strengthen_v we_o with_o his_o own_o may_v assure_v our_o conscience_n that_o god_n will_v hear_v we_o in_o that_o he_o be_v the_o hearer_n of_o the_o sigh_n and_o groan_n of_o all_o those_o that_o pray_v unto_o he_o in_o faith_n and_o if_o he_o hear_v not_o speedy_o yet_o he_o will_v hear_v in_o his_o good_a time_n if_o he_o â—eare_z thou_o not_o in_o such_o sort_n as_o thou_o will_v and_o do_v desire_n he_o will_v hear_v thou_o in_o much_o better_a wise_n so_o say_v bernarde_n and_o i_o do_v not_o remember_v that_o ever_o i_o read_v in_o any_o of_o the_o father_n of_o the_o latter_a age_n a_o more_o godly_a say_n bernard_n
