have_v reflect_v upon_o his_o holiness_n and_o justice_n according_a to_o the_o letter_n of_o the_o law_n that_o be_v give_v out_o as_o the_o rule_n of_o life_n he_o that_o do_v they_o shall_v live_v require_v than_o we_o be_v go_v no_o place_n for_o mercy_n if_o this_o be_v not_o fulfil_v that_o mercy_n may_v be_v show_v in_o pardon_v sin_n then_o the_o truth_n and_o faithfulness_n of_o god_n seem_v to_o be_v impair_v this_o be_v the_o strait_a that_o all_o sinner_n will_v have_v be_v into_o if_o god_n have_v not_o find_v such_o a_o enlargement_n as_o this_o how_o to_o show_v mercy_n without_o wrong_v justice_n and_o how_o to_o save_v sinner_n without_o impair_n his_o faithfulness_n true_o we_o may_v wonder_v what_o be_v it_o that_o can_v straiten_v his_o majesty_n so_o that_o he_o must_v send_v his_o own_o son_n so_o belove_v of_o he_o and_o bruise_v he_o and_o hide_v his_o face_n from_o he_o yea_o and_o torment_v he_o and_o not_o let_v the_o cup_n pass_v from_o he_o for_o any_o entreaty_n may_v he_o not_o more_o easy_o have_v never_o add_v such_o a_o commination_n to_o the_o law_n thou_o shall_v die_v or_o more_o easy_o relax_v and_o repeal_v that_o sentence_n and_o past_a by_o â—he_n sinner_n without_o any_o more_o then_o exact_v so_o heavy_a a_o punishment_n from_o one_o that_o be_v innoncent_n be_v it_o the_o satisfaction_n of_o his_o justice_n that_o straighten_a he_o and_o put_v a_o necessity_n of_o this_o upon_o he_o but_o true_o it_o seem_v it_o have_v be_v no_o more_o contrary_a to_o righteousness_n to_o have_v pass_v over_o the_o sinner_n without_o satisfaction_n then_o to_o require_v and_o take_v it_o off_o one_o who_o be_v not_o real_o guilty_a the_o truth_n be_v it_o waâ—_n not_o simple_o the_o indispensible_a necessity_n of_o satisfy_a justice_n that_o put_v he_o upon_o such_o a_o hard_a and_o unpleasant_a work_n as_o the_o bruise_n of_o his_o own_o son_n for_o no_o doubt_n he_o may_v have_v as_o well_o dispense_v with_o all_o satisfaction_n as_o with_o the_o personal_a satisfaction_n of_o the_o sinner_n but_o here_o the_o strait_a lay_n and_o here_o be_v the_o urgency_n of_o the_o case_n he_o have_v a_o purpose_n to_o declare_v his_o justice_n and_o therefore_o a_o satisfaction_n must_v be_v have_v not_o simple_o to_o satisfy_v righteousness_n but_o rather_o to_o declare_v his_o righteousness_n rom._n 3.25_o now_o indeed_o to_o make_v these_o two_o shine_v together_o in_o one_o work_n of_o the_o salvation_n of_o sinner_n all_o the_o world_n can_v not_o have_v find_v out_o the_o like_a of_o this_o to_o dispense_v with_o personal_a satisfaction_n in_o the_o sinner_n which_o the_o rigour_n of_o the_o law_n require_v and_o so_o to_o admit_v a_o sweet_a moderation_n and_o relaxation_n that_o the_o end_n that_o all_o sinner_n may_v behold_v his_o righteousness_n and_o justice_n and_o so_o this_o work_n of_o the_o redemption_n of_o sinner_n have_v these_o name_n of_o god_n publish_v by_o come_v to_o redeem_v we_o not_o from_o sin_n but_o to_o sin_n now_o to_o prevent_v this_o think_v not_o say_v he_o that_o i_o be_o come_v to_o destroy_v the_o law_n do_v not_o fancy_v to_o yourselves_o a_o liberty_n to_o live_v in_o sin_n and_o a_o immunity_n from_o the_o obligation_n of_o a_o commandment_n because_o i_o have_v purchase_v a_o immunity_n â—nd_v freedom_n from_o the_o of_o faith_n as_o may_v not_o give_v itself_o to_o work_v in_o love_n as_o be_v active_a in_o nothing_o but_o imagination_n the_o apostle_n abominat_n this_o god_n forbid_v he_o detest_v it_o as_o be_v the_o great_a fool_n in_o the_o world_n that_o will_v on_o that_o account_n venture_v on_o satisfaction_n to_o his_o lust_n for_o though_o it_o be_v true_a that_o he_o be_v not_o in_o danger_n
