conscience_n therefore_o at_o what_o time_n thou_o do_v any_o thing_n against_o thy_o conscience_n at_o that_o very_a time_n thou_o lose_v a_o degree_n of_o thy_o persuasion_n of_o the_o mercy_n of_o god_n and_o until_o such_o time_n as_o thou_o fall_v down_o at_o the_o foot_n of_o christ_n and_o obtain_v mercy_n for_o that_o wicked_a deed_n purchase_v peace_n at_o his_o hand_n and_o repair_v thy_o persuasion_n thou_o shall_v ever_o doubt_v of_o mercy_n and_o want_v health_n in_o thy_o conscience_n then_o this_o be_v the_o first_o lesson_n to_o keep_v health_n in_o your_o soul_n to_o be_v persuade_v of_o mercy_n the_o second_o lesson_n to_o keep_v a_o good_a conscience_n or_o to_o keep_v health_n in_o thy_o soul_n be_v this_o you_o must_v fly_v eschew_v and_o forbear_v whatsoever_o may_v trouble_v the_o health_n of_o your_o soul_n whatsoever_o may_v trouble_v the_o quietness_n and_o peaceable_a estate_n of_o your_o conscience_n cast_v it_o out_o forbear_v it_o and_o eschew_v it_o this_o general_n be_v good_a but_o let_v we_o see_v what_o it_o be_v that_o trouble_v the_o quiet_a estate_n of_o the_o conscience_n only_o sin_n nothing_o but_o a_o evil_a nature_n therefore_o we_o must_v of_o necessity_n to_o keep_v health_n in_o our_o soul_n forbear_v and_o eschew_v sin_n we_o must_v fly_v and_o avoid_v sin_n it_o be_v not_o possible_a that_o you_o can_v keep_v a_o good_a renounce_v the_o lust_n &_o affection_n of_o thy_o heart_n and_o thou_o must_v not_o do_v as_o thou_o be_v wont_a to_o do_v thou_o must_v not_o be_v give_v to_o the_o service_n of_o thy_o affection_n &_o of_o thy_o appetite_n to_o put_v they_o in_o execution_n as_o thou_o have_v former_o do_v but_o in_o case_n thy_o affection_n or_o lust_n command_v thou_o to_o do_v any_o thing_n what_o be_v thy_o part_n thou_o must_v try_v how_o far_o this_o may_v stand_v with_o the_o good_a will_n of_o god_n and_o how_o far_o that_o affection_n which_o command_v thou_o may_v agree_v with_o the_o law_n of_o god_n be_v there_o such_o a_o harmony_n as_o that_o thing_n which_o thy_o affection_n command_v thou_o may_v stand_v with_o god_n law_n and_o holy_a will_n then_o no_o question_n it_o be_v a_o sanctify_a affection_n thou_o may_v put_v it_o in_o execution_n but_o after_o this_o trial_n if_o thou_o find_v thy_o affection_n to_o be_v exorbitant_a and_o out_o of_o rule_n carry_v thou_o from_o god_n and_o against_o his_o law_n beware_v of_o it_o resist_v it_o put_v it_o not_o in_o execution_n for_o if_o thou_o fulfil_v the_o will_n of_o thy_o affection_n what_o pleasure_n can_v it_o bring_v with_o it_o it_o may_v well_o bring_v a_o flatter_a pleasure_n in_o the_o entry_n but_o it_o close_v ever_o with_o a_o bitter_a remorse_n in_o the_o end_n then_o to_o eschew_v this_o bitter_a remorse_n shall_v you_o not_o all_o try_v your_o affection_n you_o must_v examine_v and_o try_v they_o by_o the_o square_n of_o god_n law_n you_o must_v see_v how_o far_o they_o agree_v with_o his_o law_n and_o how_o far_o they_o dissent_v from_o it_o and_o so_o far_o as_o they_o be_v dissonant_n fâ—om_n that_o law_n let_v every_o man_n deny_v himself_o renounce_v his_o affection_n and_o so_o this_o trial_n be_v take_v in_o this_o manner_n by_o thyself_o it_o sanctify_v thy_o affection_n make_v christ_n to_o lodge_v in_o thy_o soul_n make_v thy_o conscience_n to_o be_v at_o rest_n and_o the_o holy_a spirit_n this_o way_n make_v both_o body_n and_o soul_n to_o be_v in_o good_a health_n and_o to_o rejoice_v then_o fly_v from_o sin_n this_o be_v the_o second_o lesson_n the_o three_o lesson_n be_v this_o study_v to_o do_v well_o will_v thou_o keep_v health_n in_o thy_o soul_n study_v to_o do_v better_a and_o better_a continual_o at_o the_o least_o have_v a_o purpose_n in_o thy_o lift_v up_o thy_o soul_n and_o run_v to_o the_o fountain_n of_o grace_n and_o mercy_n by_o repair_v to_o christ_n jesus_n to_o obtain_v mercy_n for_o thy_o soul_n and_o to_o crave_v that_o he_o will_v send_v out_o of_o himself_o that_o measure_n of_o peace_n that_o may_v put_v thy_o conscience_n at_o rest_n and_o restore_v thy_o soul_n to_o health_n so_o lie_v not_o where_o thou_o fall_v but_o incontinent_a arise_v and_o crave_v mercy_n and_o in_o obtain_v mercy_n thou_o shall_v repair_v thy_o fall_n thou_o shall_v amend_v thy_o life_n by_o repentance_n and_o by_o repentance_n thou_o shall_v get_v peace_n thou_o shall_v have_v thy_o conscience_n at_o rest_n and_o get_v health_n to_o thy_o soul_n now_o keep_v this_o rule_n if_o thou_o desire_v to_o keep_v thy_o soul_n in_o health_n look_v that_o thou_o sleep_v not_o in_o sin_n as_o david_n do_v lie_v not_o still_o when_o thou_o be_v fall_v and_o so_o fall_v from_o one_o sin_n to_o another_o as_o from_o adultery_n to_o murder_v from_o murder_n to_o the_o next_o etc._n etc._n as_o common_o if_o a_o man_n sleep_n in_o sin_n and_o rise_v not_o in_o time_n one_o sin_n will_v draw_v on_o another_o for_o there_o be_v no_o sin_n alone_o but_o always_o the_o great_a and_o more_o heinous_a that_o the_o sin_n be_v it_o have_v the_o great_a and_o worse_a sin_n wait_v on_o it_o therefore_o when_o you_o fall_v delay_v not_o to_o the_o great_a that_o the_o apprehension_n of_o my_o misery_n of_o the_o deep_a gulf_n and_o very_a hell_n whereunto_o my_o soul_n be_v subject_a increase_v in_o my_o soul_n the_o more_o earnest_n will_v i_o be_v to_o be_v reconcile_v and_o to_o be_v reconcile_v i_o will_v not_o stand_v for_o the_o renounce_n of_o the_o lust_n of_o my_o heart_n but_o i_o will_v renounce_v my_o heart_n &_o the_o there_o any_o question_n but_o the_o heart_n that_o have_v any_o sense_n and_o be_v touch_v with_o they_o will_v most_o willing_o endeavour_n to_o acquit_v itself_o again_o see_v the_o lord_n have_v take_v pain_n to_o deliver_v i_o out_o of_o the_o deep_a misery_n in_o the_o which_o i_o have_v drown_v myself_o and_o have_v purchase_v my_o redemption_n by_o so_o dear_a a_o price_n not_o with_o gold_n nor_o with_o silver_n or_o any_o dross_n of_o the_o earth_n but_o by_o such_o a_o wonderful_a mean_n by_o such_o a_o precious_a price_n and_o rich_a ransom_n look_v to_o the_o greatness_n of_o our_o misery_n and_o to_o the_o greatness_n of_o the_o price_n whereby_o he_o have_v redeem_v we_o what_o heart_n be_v it_o but_o will_v willing_o renounce_v itself_o to_o get_v a_o part_n of_o that_o the_o light_n of_o the_o understanding_n be_v turn_v in_o darkness_n the_o integrity_n of_o the_o will_n in_o wickedness_n the_o uprightness_n and_o intention_n to_o good_a be_v turn_v in_o a_o decline_a from_o good_a and_o in_o a_o bend_a purpose_n to_o do_v evil_a and_o short_o in_o a_o word_n by_o this_o corruption_n we_o have_v lose_v the_o image_n of_o god_n which_o shine_v so_o call_v pronouncer_n and_o publisher_n of_o god_n remission_n for_o in_o utter_v his_o word_n they_o show_v themselves_o to_o be_v his_o mouth_n &_o not_o their_o own_o mouth_n as_o to_o we_o that_o be_v brethren_n we_o be_v say_v to_o forgive_v other_o &_o we_o forgive_v other_o indeed_o but_o our_o remission_n relieve_v not_o the_o man_n of_o his_o guiltiness_n but_o the_o guiltiness_n remain_v as_o if_o he_o have_v offend_v no_o creature_n he_o address_v he_o to_o god_n and_o crave_v pardon_n and_o mercy_n for_o his_o sin_n of_o he_o only_o so_o this_o be_v the_o true_a repentance_n where_o man_n and_o woman_n although_o they_o have_v offend_v the_o creature_n yet_o they_o run_v to_o god_n only_o to_o seek_v remission_n and_o indeed_o this_o be_v the_o right_a way_n for_o why_o it_o be_v only_a god_n that_o can_v forgive_v they_o their_o sin_n although_o they_o have_v offend_v man_n &_o woman_n there_o be_v no_o man_n nor_o woman_n that_o be_v able_a to_o purge_v theâ—r_a conscience_n to_o take_v away_o the_o guiltiness_n of_o sin_n in_o their_o conscience_n it_o be_v only_a god_n who_o by_o the_o virtue_n of_o the_o blood_n of_o his_o son_n do_v purge_v the_o conscience_n therefore_o they_o address_v they_o to_o god_n only_o proper_o also_o it_o be_v he_o who_o they_o have_v offend_v for_o as_o for_o man_n and_o woman_n they_o may_v escape_v their_o eye_n but_o it_o be_v not_o possible_a that_o they_o can_v escape_v the_o all-seeing_a eye_n of_o god_n who_o see_v the_o sin_n of_o the_o heart_n as_o well_o as_o the_o sin_n of_o the_o body_n therefore_o in_o respect_n of_o his_o all-seeing_a eye_n it_o become_v they_o special_o to_o have_v recourse_n to_o he_o &_o to_o address_v they_o to_o he_o only_o this_o be_v call_v the_o godly_a sorrow_n in_o this_o part_n you_o have_v only_o this_o to_o beware_v of_o repentance_n for_o the_o devil_n be_v ever_o ready_a at_o thy_o hand_n and_o this_o caution_n be_v not_o only_o necessary_a for_o a_o hard_a wilful_a heart_n but_o if_o man_n and_o woman_n through_o the_o weightinesse_n of_o their_o sin_n conceive_v overdeep_a sorrow_n in_o their_o heart_n in_o this_o case_n they_o will_v be_v help_v for_o i_o say_v at_o that_o time_n the_o devil_n be_v present_a and_o so_o soon_o as_o he_o perceive_v thou_o beat_v down_o with_o the_o consideration_n of_o thy_o own_o sin_n that_o thou_o be_v as_o it_o be_v present_o in_o the_o pit_n of_o hell_n than_o he_o be_v busy_a to_o make_v thou_o to_o doubt_v to_o make_v thou_o to_o despair_v and_o to_o make_v thou_o to_o think_v that_o thy_o sin_n be_v so_o many_o so_o ugly_a and_o so_o great_a that_o the_o lord_n will_v never_o forgive_v they_o and_o cast_v in_o this_o or_o that_o stay_n before_o thou_o to_o terrify_v thou_o that_o thou_o come_v not_o to_o seek_v grace_n at_o the_o throne_n of_o grace_n therefore_o man_n shall_v in_o this_o point_n take_v heed_n to_o themselves_o they_o shall_v remit_v their_o cogitation_n &_o not_o hold_v it_o ever_o fix_a upon_o the_o consideration_n of_o the_o ugliness_n of_o their_o sin_n and_o weightinesse_n of_o their_o iniquity_n but_o thou_o ought_v to_o remit_v these_o cogitation_n sometime_o to_o take_v thou_o to_o the_o consideration_n of_o the_o mercy_n of_o god_n to_o hoist_v it_o up_o to_o the_o consideration_n of_o the_o great_a goodness_n of_o god_n to_o the_o infinite_a store_n of_o rather_o thy_o heart_n to_o the_o consideration_n of_o the_o riches_n of_o the_o mercy_n of_o god_n and_o whatsoever_o thou_o think_v of_o thyself_o and_o the_o more_o abject_a so_o thou_o end_v in_o humility_n and_o not_o in_o desperation_n it_o be_v the_o better_a think_v nothing_o of_o god_n but_o more_o then_o excellent_a and_o of_o his_o mercy_n as_o a_o thing_n that_o pass_v all_o his_o work_n a_o infinite_a thing_n that_o can_v be_v compass_v commit_v for_o of_o all_o sin_n that_o can_v be_v commit_v i_o esteem_v this_o the_o great_a when_o a_o man_n in_o his_o heart_n will_v match_v the_o greatness_n of_o his_o iniquity_n with_o the_o infinite_a weight_n of_o the_o mercy_n of_o god_n when_o the_o devil_n by_o his_o suggestion_n make_v thou_o to_o believe_v that_o thy_o sin_n be_v great_a than_o the_o mercy_n of_o god_n and_o his_o mercy_n although_o it_o be_v infinite_a less_o than_o thy_o sin_n of_o all_o sin_n i_o think_v this_o the_o great_a for_o in_o this_o thou_o spoil_v god_n of_o his_o majesty_n of_o his_o infinite_a power_n thou_o make_v he_o not_o a_o god_n for_o if_o he_o be_v not_o infinite_a in_o all_o thing_n he_o be_v not_o a_o god_n so_o i_o say_v in_o true_a dolour_n to_o prevent_v this_o thing_n man_n must_v not_o stick_v perpetual_o upon_o the_o consideration_n of_o their_o sin_n but_o sometime_o it_o be_v necessary_a that_o they_o withdraw_v their_o cogitation_n this_o sorrow_n where_o it_o be_v appear_v in_o the_o effect_n for_o if_o the_o effect_n of_o it_o appear_v not_o in_o thy_o life_n thy_o repentance_n be_v not_o true_a dolour_n where_o this_o godly_a dolour_n be_v first_o it_o bring_v forth_o in_o that_o person_n a_o hatred_n of_o that_o which_o god_n hate_v it_o make_v that_o person_n to_o agree_v with_o god_n in_o that_o he_o hate_v the_o thing_n which_o god_n hate_v and_o love_v the_o thing_n which_o he_o love_v it_o work_v then_o first_o a_o hatred_n of_o sin_n which_o god_n hate_v this_o hatred_n of_o sin_n bring_v forth_o a_o turn_n from_o sin_n for_o i_o can_v never_o turn_v from_o it_o if_o i_o hate_v it_o not_o this_o turn_n from_o the_o sin_n bring_v forth_o a_o flight_n that_o be_v a_o further_o turn_v &_o continuance_n in_o depart_v this_o flight_n from_o sin_n bring_v forth_o a_o care_n and_o study_v how_o to_o please_v god_n and_o this_o study_n bring_v a_o more_o earnest_a care_n how_o to_o hold_v fast_o that_o hold_v of_o he_o which_o thou_o have_v get_v &_o to_o retain_v his_o favour_n which_o thou_o have_v feel_v all_o these_o effect_n flow_v from_o the_o right_a sorrow_n &_o dolour_n mortification_n this_o part_n of_o repentance_n be_v call_v mortification_n or_o as_o the_o ancient_n call_v it_o contrition_n it_o be_v call_v mortification_n because_o by_o the_o power_n of_o the_o spirit_n which_o work_v this_o dolour_n sin_n be_v mortify_v it_o slay_v the_o lust_n and_o affection_n that_o be_v in_o i_o it_o take_v away_o the_o strength_n and_o power_n of_o sin_n within_o i_o in_o respect_n of_o the_o which_o slaughter_n it_o be_v call_v mortification_n for_o christ_n not_o only_o overcome_v sin_n and_o death_n &_o hell_n by_o virtue_n of_o his_o death_n perfect_o in_o his_o own_o person_n but_o he_o spoil_v sin_n and_o death_n of_o his_o power_n and_o carry_v such_o a_o rich_a &_o honourable_a triumph_n over_o they_o all_o that_o sin_n have_v lose_v his_o power_n and_o death_n have_v lose_v his_o sting_n so_o that_o whosoever_o can_v get_v hold_n of_o christ_n and_o his_o power_n by_o the_o virtue_n thereof_o sin_n shall_v die_v in_o he_o and_o his_o affection_n shall_v be_v daily_o by_o little_a &_o little_o slay_v in_o respect_n of_o the_o which_o effect_n this_o part_n of_o repentance_n be_v call_v mortification_n of_o this_o godly_a sorrow_n spring_v the_o other_o part_n of_o repentance_n whereby_o we_o turn_v our_o heart_n to_o god_n &_o apply_v the_o mercy_n of_o god_n to_o ourselves_o and_o this_o part_n be_v call_v by_o the_o prophet_n conversion_n by_o the_o apostle_n himself_o rom._n 2._o circumcision_n of_o the_o heart_n and_o christ_n speak_v of_o repentance_n he_o speak_v of_o it_o under_o the_o name_n of_o conversion_n as_o the_o chief_a part_n of_o repentance_n speak_v to_o the_o man_n of_o galilee_n luk._n 13._o except_o also_o you_o repent_v you_o shall_v all_o perish_v also_o that_o be_v except_o you_o turn_v also_o this_o conversion_n whereby_o our_o heart_n be_v turn_v unto_o god_n flow_v from_o this_o godly_a sorrow_n but_o take_v heed_n this_o turn_n be_v not_o the_o first_o effect_n it_o be_v not_o wrought_v in_o a_o instant_n of_o time_n it_o be_v not_o possible_a that_o the_o conscience_n that_o be_v only_o terrify_v with_o the_o sight_n of_o the_o own_o sin_n can_v turn_v unto_o god_n it_o be_v a_o great_a matter_n to_o the_o heart_n that_o feel_v the_o wrath_n of_o god_n in_o so_o great_a measure_n to_o wrestle_v out_o against_o desperation_n note_n much_o more_o to_o turn_v be_v so_o wicked_a and_o corrupt_a that_o it_o can_v hold_v itself_o within_o bound_n nor_o contain_v itself_o in_o any_o mediocrity_n but_o as_o when_o we_o find_v the_o fire_n of_o god_n wrath_n in_o any_o measure_n kindle_v for_o sin_n we_o will_v look_v back_o to_o desperation_n so_o if_o the_o conscience_n be_v acquaint_v long_o with_o the_o joy_n with_o the_o taste_n of_o his_o mercy_n and_o of_o his_o peace_n the_o devil_n in_o this_o world_n deceive_v we_o and_o draw_v we_o to_o presumption_n therefore_o as_o before_o be_v cast_v down_o with_o the_o consideration_n of_o thy_o own_o sin_n so_o eschew_v desperation_n thou_o withdrawe_v thy_o consideration_n to_o the_o mercy_n of_o god_n so_o now_o to_o eschew_v presumption_n thou_o must_v cast_v back_o thy_o thought_n to_o the_o consideration_n of_o thyself_o of_o thy_o own_o sin_n and_o iniquity_n and_o look_v what_o thou_o be_v before_o thou_o be_v call_v to_o repentance_n this_o be_v the_o way_n to_o hold_v thou_o low_a and_o humble_a and_o to_o distinguish_v grace_n from_o nature_n as_o to_o the_o sort_n of_o repentance_n repentance_n of_o true_a repentance_n there_o be_v two_o sort_n a_o ordinary_a repentance_n wherein_o every_o christian_a be_v bind_v to_o walk_v all_o the_o day_n of_o his_o life_n and_o a_o extraordinary_a and_o a_o special_a repentance_n the_o ordinary_a repentance_n be_v this_o when_o any_o man_n after_o he_o be_v call_v to_o the_o participation_n of_o grace_n fall_v into_o some_o special_a sin_n the_o rise_n from_o that_o sin_n i_o call_v a_o special_a repentance_n as_o david_n rise_n in_o this_o ordinary_a repentance_n we_o be_v command_v all_o to_o walk_v the_o special_a repentance_n shall_v waken_v they_o that_o be_v fall_v into_o one_o special_a viâ—e_n or_o other_o from_o the_o extraordinary_a we_o shall_v beseech_v the_o lord_n to_o preserve_v us._n always_o if_o we_o fall_v the_o lord_n waken_v us._n now_o you_o have_v hear_v the_o part_n of_o repentance_n according_a to_o the_o order_n and_o division_n which_o i_o have_v lay_v there_o be_v nothing_o far_a to_o be_v speak_v of_o this_o head_n conclusion_n except_o only_o this_o we_o ought_v the_o stead_n of_o the_o most_o high_a god_n and_o thou_o be_v more_o addict_v to_o the_o service_n of_o that_o idol_n then_o ever_o thou_o be_v to_o the_o service_n of_o the_o live_a god_n yea_o &_o evil_n yet_o the_o cause_n from_o whence_o they_o come_v be_v not_o common_a &_o the_o end_n whereunto_o they_o tend_v be_v not_o common_a the_o spirit_n of_o god_n assure_v we_o that_o this_o kind_n of_o exercise_n be_v the_o only_a way_n to_o purge_v our_o iniquity_n by_o this_o kind_n of_o exercise_n the_o sin_n of_o jacob_n be_v remove_v then_o let_v no_o man_n judge_v the_o woe_n of_o his_o brother_n by_o reason_n of_o affliction_n second_o we_o mark_v the_o time_n when_o he_o take_v this_o disease_n we_o note_v this_o time_n to_o have_v be_v the_o 14._o year_n of_o his_o reign_n short_o after_o he_o be_v deliver_v out_o of_o the_o hand_n of_o senacherib_n so_o he_o be_v not_o so_o soon_o deliver_v from_o one_o fearful_a war_n but_o he_o fall_v in_o the_o hand_n of_o a_o terrible_a plague_n and_o here_o we_o gather_v that_o the_o life_n of_o a_o good_a king_n be_v a_o continual_a grief_n and_o a_o continual_a tentation_n so_o that_o the_o issue_n of_o one_o trouble_n be_v the_o begin_n of_o a_o great_a and_o their_o whole_a life_n be_v as_o it_o be_v a_o continual_a vexation_n so_o it_o please_v the_o lord_n to_o exercise_v the_o patience_n of_o his_o own_o to_o the_o end_n he_o may_v engender_v a_o bitterness_n of_o this_o life_n into_o they_o that_o this_o life_n be_v bitter_a they_o may_v seek_v for_o a_o better_a for_o the_o lord_n feed_v not_o his_o own_o as_o slaughter_v ox_n no_o but_o he_o hold_v their_o back_n under_o continual_a cross_n that_o by_o this_o they_o may_v learn_v to_o have_v their_o mind_n aloft_o that_o they_o may_v learn_v how_o to_o use_v the_o world_n and_o all_o these_o trifle_n beneath_o to_o wit_n as_o they_o may_v serve_v they_o to_o the_o life_n to_o come_v thus_o for_o the_o time_n as_o for_o the_o greatness_n of_o the_o disease_n we_o paint_v it_o forth_o by_o two_o circumstance_n first_o by_o nature_n it_o be_v deadly_a for_o there_o be_v no_o force_n of_o nature_n that_o can_v prevail_v over_o it_o second_o the_o servant_n of_o god_n by_o a_o denunciation_n assure_v he_o that_o it_o be_v deadly_a and_o this_o aggravate_v high_o the_o greatness_n of_o this_o disease_n upon_o this_o denunciation_n we_o take_v up_o a_o general_a lesson_n concern_v the_o promise_n and_o threaten_n of_o god_n to_o wit_n that_o in_o all_o his_o promise_n and_o threaten_n there_o be_v a_o condition_n annex_v which_o either_o be_v express_v or_o perpetual_o to_o be_v understand_v so_o it_o be_v here_o for_o suppose_v the_o prophet_n use_v the_o simple_a form_n of_o denunciation_n yet_o it_o be_v not_o to_o bring_v he_o to_o despair_n but_o that_o he_o may_v the_o more_o earnest_o seek_v grace_n and_o mercy_n at_o god_n last_o we_o mark_v his_o behaviour_n under_o this_o disease_n and_o we_o find_v that_o suppose_v the_o plague_n threaten_v he_o on_o the_o one_o hand_n and_o god_n terrify_v he_o on_o the_o other_o hand_n yet_o in_o this_o extremity_n he_o make_v his_o recourse_n to_o he_o that_o terrify_v he_o it_o be_v a_o easy_a matter_n to_o have_v retire_v to_o he_o when_o the_o king_n of_o asshur_n terrify_v he_o but_o this_o be_v a_o wonderful_a triumph_n of_o faith_n that_o the_o lord_n appear_v to_o be_v his_o enemy_n yet_o he_o make_v his_o recourse_n unto_o he_o this_o he_o can_v not_o have_v do_v except_o he_o have_v be_v sustain_v by_o the_o testimony_n of_o a_o good_a conscience_n it_o be_v not_o possible_a that_o he_o can_v have_v retire_v to_o god_n that_o be_v a_o consume_a fire_n in_o a_o guilty_a conscience_n except_o he_o have_v be_v uphold_v by_o the_o testimony_n of_o a_o good_a conscience_n have_v this_o testimony_n he_o know_v that_o this_o threaten_n be_v to_o amend_v he_o and_o not_o to_o slay_v he_o in_o word_n and_o not_o indeed_o upon_o this_o we_o gather_v this_o observation_n blessed_n be_v the_o man_n that_o be_v not_o condemn_v in_o his_o own_o conscience_n for_o if_o we_o can_v escape_v the_o condemnation_n of_o our_o own_o heart_n how_o much_o less_o can_v we_o be_v able_a to_o escape_v the_o condemnation_n of_o god_n who_o make_v the_o heart_n for_o the_o lord_n condemn_v no_o man_n but_o he_o who_o his_o conscience_n first_o condemn_v so_o the_o lord_n have_v place_v this_o conscience_n here_o to_o resemble_v the_o judgement_n which_o be_v to_o follow_v after_o for_o who_o the_o conscience_n condemn_v assure_o the_o lord_n condemn_v and_o who_o the_o conscience_n with_o the_o warrant_n of_o the_o word_n approve_v no_o
ought_v any_o wicked_a vow_n ought_v to_o be_v keep_v vow_n which_o be_v rash_o vow_v to_o be_v wicked_o perform_v for_o in_o so_o do_v they_o make_v a_o double_a fault_n first_o they_o do_v a_o fault_n in_o vow_v rash_o second_o they_o make_v a_o fault_n in_o perform_v their_o rash_a vow_n all_o these_o vow_n be_v beside_o the_o warrant_n of_o the_o word_n we_o shall_v promise_v to_o be_v king_n shall_v be_v let_v loose_a for_o rather_o shall_v heaven_n and_o earth_n go_v together_o ere_o god_n suffer_v his_o church_n to_o be_v root_v out_o if_o we_o remain_v in_o any_o part_n of_o
