these_o may_v be_v testimony_n or_o evidence_n of_o election_n four_o i_o do_v not_o press_v the_o have_v of_o these_o effect_n sensible_o to_o be_v a_o evidence_n of_o election_n if_o so_o be_v you_o have_v they_o real_o there_o be_v many_o man_n have_v these_o real_o when_o they_o have_v they_o not_o in_o their_o own_o apprehension_n five_o i_o do_v not_o press_v the_o have_v of_o these_o effect_n gradual_o so_o you_o have_v they_o sincere_o my_o meaning_n be_v this_o that_o a_o man_n may_v be_v elect_v yea_o and_o he_o may_v not_o only_o be_v choose_v in_o god_n eternal_a decree_n three_o query_n i_o come_v now_o to_o enter_v upon_o another_o depend_v upon_o the_o former_a which_o indeed_o be_v a_o very_a dreadful_a subject_n and_o a_o point_n to_o be_v tremble_v at_o while_o i_o remember_v austin_n say_v that_o this_o temptation_n of_o the_o devil_n make_v he_o keep_v off_o for_o seven_o year_n together_o from_o embrace_v the_o call_v of_o jesus_n christ_n the_o devil_n will_v still_o tell_v he_o in_o his_o heart_n thou_o be_v too_o young_a to_o leave_v thy_o drunkenness_n and_o too_o young_a to_o leave_v thy_o harlot_n till_o at_o last_o he_o cry_v out_o how_o whereas_o indeed_o if_o you_o be_v young_a devil_n you_o will_v be_v old_a beelzebub_n and_o therefore_o this_o be_v a_o suggestion_n prevail_v with_o many_o heart_n i_o shall_v lay_v down_o six_o consideration_n to_o take_v off_o this_o temptation_n that_o it_o may_v not_o prevail_v with_o you_o first_o if_o the_o devil_n tempt_v you_o that_o you_o be_v yet_o too_o young_a to_o hearken_v to_o christ_n call_n consider_v that_o the_o devil_n can_v give_v you_o a_o lease_n of_o your_o life_n if_o the_o devil_n can_v give_v you_o a_o lease_n of_o your_o life_n and_o tell_v you_o you_o shall_v disquietness_n and_o great_a horror_n when_o you_o come_v to_o age_n the_o lust_n of_o youth_n and_o the_o vanity_n of_o youth_n and_o the_o sensual_a pleasure_n of_o your_o youthful_a day_n they_o thus_o think_v they_o i_o see_v other_o man_n when_o they_o be_v convert_v that_o their_o humiliation_n be_v great_a i_o see_v that_o they_o have_v horror_n of_o conscience_n that_o they_o be_v wrought_v upon_o by_o the_o terror_n of_o the_o law_n
that_o they_o be_v exceed_o humble_v before_o god_n now_o for_o my_o part_n i_o never_o find_v this_o manner_n of_o god_n work_v in_o my_o soul_n i_o never_o find_v that_o i_o can_v see_v my_o sin_n clear_o or_o can_v be_v humble_v for_o they_o great_o i_o never_o find_v those_o humiliation_n and_o legal_a terror_n which_o i_o hear_v many_o man_n talk_v of_o and_o this_o make_v i_o doubt_n ingenuous_a and_o moral_a life_n before_o their_o call_n as_o you_o know_v it_o be_v with_o carpenter_n they_o give_v more_o blow_n to_o knotty_a timber_n than_o they_o will_v do_v to_o smooth_a and_o tender_a wood_n thus_o do_v god_n when_o he_o meet_v with_o a_o knotty_a sinner_n a_o wretched_a stouthearted_a sinner_n god_n must_v give_v he_o many_o blow_n by_o humiliation_n before_o he_o will_v be_v humble_v before_o he_o can_v bring_v he_o to_o be_v a_o serviceable_a piece_n in_o god_n building_n whereas_o christian_n of_o a_o mild_a and_o soft_a temper_n they_o shall_v have_v few_o blow_n
