think_v it_o unreasonable_a that_o you_o that_o be_v wrong_v shall_v seek_v peace_n i_o but_o it_o become_v the_o gospel_n of_o christ_n that_o you_o shall_v do_v so_o god_n seek_v to_o you_o you_o never_o seek_v to_o he_o if_o god_n have_v not_o begin_v the_o work_n of_o peace_n with_o you_o god_n and_o your_o soul_n will_v have_v be_v eternal_o enemy_n and_o therefore_o remember_v that_o you_o be_v not_o to_o live_v according_a to_o reason_n you_o think_v there_o be_v all_o the_o reason_n in_o the_o world_n that_o those_o that_o have_v wrong_v you_o shall_v crouch_v to_o your_o foot_n rather_o than_o you_o seek_v to_o they_o well_o grant_v it_o that_o there_o be_v all_o the_o reason_n in_o the_o world_n for_o it_o i_o but_o what_o be_v there_o in_o the_o gospel_n to_o the_o contrary_a and_o you_o be_v not_o to_o live_v only_o in_o your_o conversation_n as_o beseem_v reason_n but_o you_o be_v to_o have_v your_o conversation_n as_o beseem_v the_o gospel_n of_o christ_n if_o you_o stand_v upon_o these_o term_n let_v he_o come_v to_o i_o rather_o than_o i_o will_v go_v to_o he_o be_v this_o as_o become_v the_o gospel_n what_o do_v you_o hold_v forth_o of_o the_o great_a work_n of_o the_o gospel_n if_o you_o do_v not_o hold_v forth_o this_o your_o willingness_n to_o be_v at_o peace_n and_o to_o seek_v for_o peace_n even_o from_o your_o inferior_n and_o do_v not_o you_o say_v that_o the_o offence_n be_v great_a oh_o it_o be_v a_o great_a offence_n that_o such_o a_o one_o have_v commit_v he_o have_v deal_v very_o proud_o with_o i_o and_o shall_v i_o seek_v to_o he_o his_o offence_n to_o you_o be_v not_o so_o great_a as_o your_o offence_n be_v to_o god_n and_o yet_o god_n seek_v to_o be_v at_o peace_n with_o you_o through_o christ_n but_o he_o be_v my_o inferior_a it_o may_v be_v he_o be_v a_o poor_a mean_a fellow_n that_o have_v so_o wrong_v i_o do_v not_o you_o think_v there_o be_v such_o a_o distance_n between_o you_o and_o other_o man_n it_o may_v be_v thou_o have_v a_o little_a power_n in_o thy_o hand_n and_o a_o few_o penny_n in_o thy_o purse_n more_o than_o thy_o neighbour_n have_v but_o what_o infinite_a distance_n be_v there_o between_o god_n and_o you_o then_o oh_o remember_v your_o conversation_n must_v be_v as_o beseem_v the_o gospel_n of_o christ_n i_o but_o it_o will_v put_v i_o to_o a_o great_a deal_n of_o trouble_n i_o can_v with_o more_o ease_n have_v he_o punish_v than_o i_o can_v bring_v thing_n to_o make_v peace_n between_o we_o with_o more_o ease_n can_v not_o god_n with_o more_o ease_n have_v send_v thou_o down_o to_o the_o nethermost_a hell_n how_o quick_o can_v god_n have_v bring_v thou_o down_o and_o undo_v thou_o for_o ever_o but_o god_n be_v content_a to_o be_v at_o peace_n upon_o hard_a term_n as_o i_o may_v so_o speak_v indeed_o they_o be_v hard_a term_n by_o which_o god_n come_v to_o reconcile_v the_o world_n unto_o himself_o the_o hard_a term_n that_o possible_o can_v be_v conceive_v for_o jesus_n christ_n his_o eternal_a son_n do_v take_v upon_o he_o our_o nature_n and_o be_v make_v a_o curse_n for_o we_o that_o know_v no_o sin_n that_o we_o may_v be_v make_v the_o righteousness_n of_o god_n in_o he_o and_o therefore_o stand_v not_o upon_o any_o hard_a term_n if_o peace_n may_v be_v purchase_v any_o way_n but_o by_o sin_n stand_v not_o upon_o it_o for_o this_o be_v as_o become_v the_o gospel_n of_o christ_n yea_o and_o when_o you_o be_v reconcile_v to_o your_o brother_n be_v so_o reconcile_v as_o to_o be_v firm_a in_o your_o reconciliation_n not_o as_o some_o there_o be_v peace_n make_v between_o they_o but_o how_o so_o as_o they_o be_v ready_a to_o take_v advantage_n against_o one_o another_o upon_o any_o miscarriage_n afterward_o god_n do_v not_o do_v so_o with_o you_o the_o gospel_n hold_v not_o forth_o such_o a_o peace_n as_o this_o be_v that_o god_n shall_v be_v at_o peace_n with_o you_o for_o the_o present_a but_o look_v to_o yourselves_o afterward_o god_n will_v take_v all_o advantage_n against_o you_o that_o he_o can_v if_o there_o have_v be_v such_o a_o peace_n make_v between_o god_n and_o you_o you_o have_v be_v in_o hell_n long_o before_o this_o time_n and_o therefore_o let_v your_o peace_n be_v a_o firm_a a_o settle_a and_o a_o constant_a peace_n oh_o that_o this_o be_v but_o think_v on_o in_o these_o contention_n day_n wherein_o there_o be_v such_o breach_n between_o brother_n and_o brother_n in_o every_o town_n in_o every_o family_n and_o none_o almost_o but_o be_v break_v off_o one_o from_o another_o with_o a_o irreconcilable_a spirit_n oh_o how_o unbeseeming_a the_o gospel_n of_o jesus_n christ_n be_v a_o irreconciliable_a spirit_n certain_o god_n have_v not_o make_v thou_o to_o know_v what_o the_o mystery_n of_o the_o gospel_n of_o peace_n be_v who_o have_v war_n in_o thy_o heart_n and_o tongue_n against_o thy_o brother_n and_o that_o be_v the_o second_o thing_n that_o the_o gospel_n hold_v forth_o unto_o we_o only_o take_v this_o one_o note_n in_o this_o second_o thing_n that_o whereas_o there_o be_v many_o argument_n to_o move_v we_o to_o such_o a_o conversation_n as_o now_o i_o be_o urge_v upon_o you_o yet_o let_v christian_n above_o all_o argument_n make_v the_o gospel_n to_o be_v the_o argument_n of_o argument_n to_o move_v they_o to_o it_o as_o now_o for_o the_o matter_n of_o peace_n there_o be_v many_o argument_n to_o move_v we_o to_o be_v at_o peace_n with_o our_o brother_n from_o the_o inconvenience_n that_o will_v follow_v upon_o our_o breach_n &_o the_o like_a now_o show_v yourselves_o christian_n in_o this_o above_o all_o argument_n make_v the_o consideration_n of_o what_o you_o understand_v in_o the_o gospel_n to_o be_v the_o great_a motive_n of_o motive_n to_o prevail_v with_o you_o for_o peace_n and_o this_o argument_n will_v do_v it_o when_o nothing_o else_o will_v do_v it_o it_o may_v be_v a_o friend_n come_v and_o persuade_v you_o to_o be_v at_o peace_n you_o will_v find_v a_o great_a deal_n of_o trouble_n in_o lawing_n and_o sue_v and_o enmity_n one_o against_o another_o there_o will_v come_v a_o great_a deal_n of_o anxiety_n and_o therefore_o be_v reconcile_v and_o live_v like_o neighbour_n one_o with_o another_o well_o but_o when_o you_o find_v that_o your_o heart_n do_v not_o stoop_v to_o any_o other_o argument_n then_o get_v alone_o into_o your_o closert_n search_v the_o scripture_n and_o there_o lie_v to_o your_o heart_n all_o the_o argument_n that_o you_o can_v from_o the_o gospel_n of_o jesus_n christ_n there_o see_v how_o god_n reconcile_v the_o world_n to_o himself_o and_o how_o god_n be_v set_v upon_o the_o work_n of_o peace_n lay_v they_o to_o your_o heart_n and_o when_o no_o other_o argument_n will_v move_v the_o consideration_n of_o that_o through_o the_o blessing_n of_o god_n will_v do_v it_o and_o that_o be_v for_o the_o second_o point_n in_o the_o three_o place_n the_o gospel_n hold_v forth_o the_o infinite_a mercy_n of_o god_n to_o miserable_a creature_n when_o man_n be_v plunge_v into_o such_o a_o depth_n of_o misery_n nothing_o but_o bowel_n of_o mercy_n do_v move_v god_n to_o help_v man_n out_o of_o that_o depth_n of_o misery_n that_o they_o be_v plunge_v into_o and_o though_o man_n be_v unworthy_a of_o mercy_n god_n mercy_n be_v free_a yea_o and_o it_o be_v a_o transcendent_a mercy_n of_o god_n the_o mercy_n of_o god_n be_v over_o all_o his_o work_n the_o heathen_n can_v understand_v that_o god_n be_v a_o merciful_a god_n the_o light_n
here_o will_v be_v a_o mighty_a change_n thou_o be_v a_o beast_n before_o but_o here_o be_v the_o soul_n of_o grace_n there_o be_v a_o new_a birth_n when_o the_o gospel_n come_v to_o prevail_v and_o to_o enter_v in_o upon_o a_o heart_n and_o it_o be_v call_v a_o new_a resurrection_n if_o there_o shall_v be_v a_o voice_n come_v from_o heaven_n that_o shall_v open_v all_o the_o grave_n that_o you_o have_v here_o in_o the_o yard_n and_o all_o the_o dead_a body_n shall_v stand_v up_o and_o live_v what_o a_o mighty_a change_n will_v there_o be_v such_o a_o change_n do_v the_o gospel_n make_v when_o it_o conquer_v a_o people_n indeed_o the_o gospel_n may_v be_v preach_v and_o little_a change_n may_v be_v wrought_v because_o the_o power_n of_o the_o gospel_n prevail_v not_o with_o their_o heart_n what_o you_o have_v be_v heretofore_o worldly_a and_o base_a and_o carnal_a and_o sensual_a and_o froward_a and_o peevish_a and_o profane_a man_n altogether_o unsavoury_a before_o the_o gospel_n come_v to_o you_o now_o you_o profess_v that_o god_n have_v begin_v to_o work_v upon_o you_o by_o the_o gospel_n what_o change_n have_v it_o wrought_v in_o you_o can_v those_o that_o live_v with_o you_o see_v your_o conversation_n so_o change_v as_o to_o make_v they_o stand_v and_o admire_v at_o the_o work_n of_o the_o gospel_n upon_o your_o heart_n the_o husband_n to_o stand_v and_o admire_v at_o the_o work_n of_o god_n upon_o the_o heart_n of_o the_o wife_n as_o if_o she_o be_v another_o woman_n and_o so_o the_o wife_n to_o admire_v at_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n upon_o the_o heart_n of_o the_o husband_n as_o if_o he_o be_v another_o man_n and_o so_o your_o child_n and_o servant_n not_o the_o same_o that_o heretofore_o they_o be_v oh_o what_o honour_n will_v this_o be_v to_o the_o gospel_n that_o in_o place_n where_o it_o come_v to_o be_v preach_v in_o power_n there_o may_v appear_v a_o change_n that_o become_v the_o gospel_n of_o christ_n certain_o if_o your_o conversation_n be_v not_o such_o as_o hold_v forth_o a_o mighty_a change_n that_o god_n have_v wrought_v in_o you_o than_o it_o be_v not_o such_o as_o become_v the_o gospel_n of_o christ_n it_o may_v be_v you_o be_v somewhat_o better_o than_o heretofore_o you_o have_v be_v as_o not_o to_o be_v a_o common_a drunkard_n you_o see_v that_o be_v despise_v by_o man_n who_o regard_v drunken_a fool_n madman_n very_a beast_n therefore_o you_o come_v to_o be_v of_o more_o understanding_n that_o you_o will_v not_o be_v so_o profane_a and_o lascivious_a as_o you_o be_v wont_a to_o be_v but_o live_v somewhat_o better_a oh_o but_o this_o change_n be_v not_o that_o change_n which_o hold_v forth_o the_o work_n of_o the_o gospel_n for_o when_o the_o gospel_n prevail_v it_o make_v the_o great_a change_n that_o ever_o be_v make_v in_o the_o world_n we_o may_v bold_o ascert_v this_o that_o since_o the_o creation_n of_o god_n in_o the_o first_o six_o day_n there_o be_v never_o such_o a_o change_n make_v in_o the_o world_n as_o the_o gospel_n make_v and_o therefore_o a_o conversation_n become_v the_o gospel_n must_v be_v a_o conversation_n that_o must_v be_v a_o change_a conversation_n must_v be_v mighty_o different_a from_o what_o they_o be_v before_o sometime_o we_o see_v it_o so_o through_o the_o mercy_n of_o god_n that_o when_o man_n and_o woman_n come_v to_o hear_v the_o word_n in_o the_o cleverness_n and_o power_n of_o it_o to_o be_v reveal_v they_o have_v such_o change_n that_o all_o their_o friend_n stand_v wonder_v at_o they_o what_o shall_v we_o have_v of_o you_o now_o oh_o such_o have_v cause_n to_o answer_v and_o say_v bless_a be_v god_n it_o be_v so_o it_o be_v the_o gospel_n that_o have_v make_v such_o a_o change_n in_o i_o ay_o this_o become_v the_o gospel_n when_o it_o shall_v appear_v that_o your_o conversation_n be_v so_o change_v so_o holy_a and_o godly_a and_o gracious_a now_o over_o it_o be_v before_o but_o you_o who_o life_n be_v not_o better_a than_o they_o be_v before_o before_o you_o make_v some_o profession_n only_o your_o profession_n now_o be_v great_a than_o it_o be_v before_o but_o your_o life_n no_o better_o know_v this_o be_v a_o conversation_n that_o do_v no_o way_n become_v the_o gospel_n of_o christ_n the_o gospel_n of_o christ_n have_v no_o honour_n by_o this_o conversation_n of_o you_o and_o then_o the_o great_a difference_n that_o they_o be_v dead_a in_o trespass_n and_o sin_n they_o be_v under_o the_o curse_n of_o the_o law_n they_o be_v even_o enemy_n to_o god_n this_o be_v the_o condition_n of_o all_o man_n before_o this_o sceptre_n of_o christ_n conquer_v their_o heart_n child_n of_o wrath_n enemy_n to_o god_n dead_a in_o sin_n under_o the_o curse_n but_o now_o when_o the_o gospel_n come_v to_o prevail_v over_o man_n heart_n than_o they_o come_v to_o be_v the_o child_n of_o the_o live_a god_n heir_n of_o christ_n coheir_n with_o he_o they_o come_v to_o be_v partaker_n of_o the_o life_n of_o god_n they_o increase_v with_o the_o increase_n of_o god_n and_o their_o life_n be_v hide_v with_o christ_n in_o god_n and_o they_o come_v to_o be_v reconcile_v to_o god_n to_o be_v friend_n with_o god_n to_o be_v at_o peace_n with_o god_n and_o to_o inherit_v blessing_n oh_o the_o change_n that_o the_o lord_n put_v upon_o the_o heart_n and_o state_n of_o the_o saint_n when_o the_o gospel_n prevail_v how_o high_a be_v they_o raise_v above_o other_o man_n therefore_o you_o must_v not_o make_v other_o man_n to_o be_v your_o example_n in_o your_o way_n you_o must_v not_o think_v to_o live_v as_o the_o world_n live_v and_o to_o say_v i_o do_v as_o other_o man_n do_v the_o gospel_n make_v a_o mighty_a difference_n between_o your_o estate_n and_o the_o state_n of_o other_o man_n therefore_o never_o look_v to_o what_o other_o man_n do_v but_o consider_v as_o god_n have_v make_v a_o vast_a difference_n between_o you_o and_o other_o man_n so_o let_v there_o be_v a_o great_a difference_n between_o your_o conversation_n and_o the_o conversation_n of_o other_o man_n now_o this_o meditation_n shall_v have_v a_o mighty_a deal_n of_o power_n to_o prevail_v upon_o the_o heart_n i_o believe_v that_o i_o have_v such_o and_o such_o privilege_n beyond_o other_o man_n and_o i_o look_v for_o such_o and_o such_o mercy_n above_o other_o now_o what_o thing_n i_o look_v for_o beyond_o other_o i_o must_v labour_v to_o be_v as_o much_o beyond_o they_o in_o holiness_n of_o conversation_n as_o god_n have_v make_v i_o beyond_o they_o in_o spiritual_a privilege_n and_o spiritual_a mercy_n i_o think_v sometime_o i_o will_v not_o be_v in_o the_o condition_n of_o such_o man_n as_o be_v in_o their_o natural_a estate_n for_o a_o world_n nay_o i_o will_v not_o be_v one_o our_o in_o their_o estate_n if_o i_o may_v have_v ten_o thousand_o world_n for_o fear_v i_o shall_v die_v that_o hour_n and_o then_o i_o shall_v be_v lose_v for_o ever_o well_o have_v god_n make_v such_o a_o difference_n then_o let_v not_o my_o life_n be_v like_o they_o for_o one_o hour_n nay_o for_o one_o moment_n oh_o this_o meditation_n through_o god_n blessing_n will_v mighty_o help_v we_o in_o our_o conversation_n our_o conversation_n shall_v be_v such_o as_o become_v the_o ordinance_n of_o the_o gospel_n the_o word_n and_o sacrament_n they_o have_v a_o great_a deal_n more_o in_o they_o than_o the_o ordinance_n of_o the_o law_n but_o because_o i_o speak_v of_o the_o gospel_n be_v high_o than_o the_o law_n heretofore_o and_o these_o thing_n may_v fall_v something_o near_o yet_o have_v i_o time_n i_o will_v speak_v a_o little_a concern_v these_o and_o show_v how_o we_o be_v to_o hold_v forth_o a_o conversation_n suitable_a to_o they_o our_o conversation_n shall_v be_v suitable_a to_o the_o power_n of_o the_o venture_v they_o indeed_o when_o god_n come_v unto_o his_o choice_a mercy_n in_o christ_n there_o he_o look_v to_o have_v glory_n from_o they_o and_o he_o do_v never_o give_v they_o to_o any_o but_o first_o he_o prepare_v they_o that_o they_o may_v give_v he_o the_o glory_n of_o those_o mercy_n but_o it_o be_v otherwise_o with_o other_o as_o suppose_v you_o see_v a_o man_n gather_v of_o crab_n work_v upon_o iron_n though_o a_o great_a many_o cinder_n and_o little_a bit_n of_o iron_n fly_v up_o and_o down_o he_o regard_v they_o not_o but_o a_o goldsmith_n that_o be_v work_v upon_o gold_n he_o preserve_v every_o ray_n and_o every_o dust_n of_o gold_n and_o a_o lapidary_n that_o be_v work_v upon_o precious_a stone_n every_o little_a bit_n he_o will_v be_v sure_a to_o preserve_v a_o carpenter_n that_o be_v only_o hew_v of_o timber_n he_o regard_v it_o not_o much_o if_o chip_n fly_v up_o and_o down_o but_o it_o be_v not_o so_o with_o a_o lapidary_n so_o these_o outward_a thing_n be_v but_o as_o the_o chip_n and_o cinder_n and_o such_o kind_n of_o thing_n as_o those_o be_v and_o therefore_o god_n even_o give_v a_o portion_n to_o wicked_a man_n out_o of_o they_o sixthly_a god_n know_v that_o he_o have_v time_n enough_o to_o manifest_v his_o justice_n upon_o they_o hereafter_o he_o have_v a_o eternity_n hereafter_o for_o the_o declaration_n of_o his_o justice_n and_o therefore_o say_v god_n let_v they_o have_v somewhat_o for_o a_o while_n as_o you_o know_v it_o be_v natural_a in_o all_o when_o they_o see_v a_o man_n go_v to_o execution_n that_o be_v not_o like_a they_o sure_o if_o the_o dog_n have_v so_o much_o the_o father_n keep_v a_o good_a house_n if_o the_o hang-by_n may_v have_v such_o dole_n certain_o there_o be_v good_a provision_n for_o the_o child_n within_o as_o by_o the_o affliction_n of_o the_o saint_n god_n do_v declare_v to_o wicked_a man_n and_o will_v have_v they_o draw_v such_o a_o argument_n from_o it_o that_o there_o be_v fearful_a thing_n that_o be_v like_a to_o befall_v they_o if_o judgement_n begin_v at_o the_o house_n of_o god_n where_o shall_v the_o wicked_a and_o ungodly_a appear_v so_o by_o the_o prosperity_n that_o wicked_a man_n have_v in_o this_o world_n god_n do_v declare_v to_o his_o child_n and_o he_o will_v have_v they_o argue_v from_o thence_o what_o then_o have_v he_o reserve_v for_o his_o beloved_a one_o for_o his_o saint_n for_o his_o child_n that_o be_v so_o dear_a unto_o he_o eighthly_a god_n fetch_v a_o great_a deal_n of_o glory_n from_o hence_o he_o fetch_v about_o his_o own_o end_n very_o much_o from_o the_o portion_n that_o wicked_a man_n have_v as_o sometime_o he_o do_v it_o that_o they_o may_v stumble_v and_o harden_v their_o heart_n and_o break_v their_o neck_n at_o it_o and_o to_o ripen_v their_o sin_n hence_o he_o let_v they_o go_v on_o a_o long_a time_n and_o have_v their_o will_n in_o isa_n 33._o 1._o wo_n to_o thou_o who_o spoil_v and_o be_v not_o spoil_v and_o deal_v ab_fw-la angelo_fw-la audivit_fw-la cur_n superbus_fw-la o_o infaelix_fw-la non_fw-la es_fw-la creatus_fw-la episcopus_fw-la quia_fw-la tu_fw-la dignus_fw-la sed_fw-la quia_fw-la civitas_n haec_fw-la digna_fw-la fuit_fw-la tali_fw-la episcopi_fw-la it_o be_v a_o wicked_a place_n and_o this_o be_v the_o answer_n why_o be_v thou_o so_o proud_a oh_o unhappy_a man_n for_o thou_o be_v not_o advance_v because_o thou_o be_v worthy_a of_o this_o advancement_n but_o because_o this_o city_n be_v so_o ill_a it_o be_v worthy_a of_o such_o a_o prelate_n to_o be_v over_o it_o in_o way_n of_o judgement_n to_o that_o place_n god_n advance_v such_o a_o man_n and_o so_o many_o be_v advance_v that_o they_o may_v be_v heavy_a judgement_n unto_o other_o god_n give_v they_o such_o a_o portion_n not_o out_o of_o his_o love_n to_o they_o though_o they_o be_v ready_a to_o gather_v the_o argument_n but_o out_o of_o his_o displeasure_n unto_o other_o and_o then_o he_o give_v a_o plentiful_a portion_n to_o many_o to_o teach_v we_o all_o to_o do_v good_a unto_o our_o enemy_n not_o only_a humanitati_fw-la as_o they_o say_v but_o homini_fw-la not_o only_o to_o human_a nature_n but_o to_o man_n to_o man_n that_o be_v wicked_a some_o good_a must_v be_v do_v unto_o they_o nine_o the_o lord_n will_v show_v hereby_o that_o he_o will_v have_v no_o argument_n of_o love_n or_o hatred_n to_o be_v draw_v from_o these_o outward_a thing_n and_o also_o because_o he_o will_v not_o have_v they_o to_o expect_v any_o more_o it_o may_v be_v many_o man_n that_o be_v ungodly_a prosper_v in_o this_o world_n they_o gather_v this_o argument_n that_o therefore_o god_n love_v they_o and_o intend_v mercy_n to_o they_o cujus_fw-la contrarium_fw-la verum_fw-la nay_o you_o may_v rather_o gather_v a_o argument_n quite_o the_o other_a way_n because_o god_n intend_v no_o further_a good_a unto_o you_o hereafter_o therefore_o it_o be_v you_o have_v so_o much_o now_o we_o use_v to_o answer_v man_n that_o come_v for_o glory_n and_o a_o kingdom_n and_o a_o crown_n of_o eternal_a life_n now_o they_o expect_v not_o to_o have_v it_o do_v present_o they_o be_v content_a to_o stay_v oh_o these_o be_v the_o best_a trader_n the_o best_a merchant_n that_o will_v trade_n with_o god_n for_o great_a thing_n and_o be_v content_a to_o stay_v you_o will_v choose_v that_o you_o have_v here_o for_o the_o present_a and_o therefore_o you_o have_v your_o portion_n four_o these_o thing_n that_o be_v here_o they_o be_v the_o only_a suitable_a thing_n to_o your_o heart_n and_o what_o will_v you_o do_v with_o any_o more_o hereafter_o these_o thing_n do_v exceed_o please_v you_o and_o give_v you_o content_a as_o agreeable_a to_o you_o and_o the_o thing_n that_o be_v to_o come_v be_v disagreeable_a what_o will_v man_n do_v that_o be_v carnal_a and_o wicked_a now_o what_o will_v they_o do_v in_o heaven_n certain_o if_o you_o hate_v god_n saint_n now_o that_o have_v but_o a_o little_a grace_n for_o their_o grace_n sake_n you_o will_v hate_v they_o infinite_o more_o afterward_o when_o they_o be_v perfect_a in_o grace_n when_o they_o shall_v be_v perfect_a and_o then_o when_o all_o your_o common_a gift_n shall_v be_v take_v away_o for_o so_o it_o shall_v be_v now_o the_o thing_n of_o god_n be_v unsuitable_a to_o you_o though_o you_o have_v now_o many_o common_a 〈◊〉_d and_o you_o now_o abhor_v the_o grace_n a_o man_n head_n a_o tooth_n indeed_o be_v prefer_v to_o have_v a_o eminent_a place_n in_o the_o head_n but_o when_o the_o tooth_n come_v to_o be_v rot_v and_o put_v we_o to_o pain_n what_o do_v we_o but_o pull_v it_o out_o and_o throw_v it_o away_o so_o when_o god_n prefer_v man_n to_o eminent_a place_n when_o through_o their_o wickedness_n they_o grow_v rot_v and_o so_o do_v a_o great_a deal_n of_o hurt_n the_o lord_n pluck_v they_o out_o in_o his_o anger_n and_o throw_v they_o away_o they_o abuse_v their_o portion_n and_o do_v a_o great_a deal_n of_o hurt_n and_o therefore_o must_v expect_v no_o more_o but_o above_o all_o the_o argument_n be_v sixthly_a because_o they_o have_v no_o interest_n in_o jesus_n christ_n the_o rich_a treasure_n of_o the_o infinite_a grace_n of_o god_n they_o be_v let_v out_o in_o jesus_n christ_n god_n have_v divers_a conduit-pipe_n as_o i_o may_v so_o say_v of_o his_o grace_n to_o let_v out_o unto_o his_o creature_n there_o be_v some_o lesser_a conduit-pipe_n and_o those_o conduit-pipe_n may_v be_v open_v through_o the_o general_a bounty_n of_o god_n but_o now_o the_o lord_n have_v the_o great_a current_n of_o his_o eternal_a mercy_n for_o mystery_n of_o the_o gospel_n the_o second_o person_n in_o the_o trinity_n see_v that_o the_o child_n of_o man_n be_v capable_a of_o eternal_a happiness_n eternal_a glory_n and_o that_o there_o be_v glorious_a treasure_n with_o god_n to_o be_v communicate_v to_o the_o child_n of_o man_n but_o through_o man_n sin_n this_o great_a current_n be_v stop_v in_o the_o mean_a time_n god_n general_a bounty_n let_v out_o a_o great_a many_o outward_a comfort_n christ_n therefore_o out_o of_o pity_n to_o mankind_n that_o manking_n may_v not_o be_v put_v off_o with_o these_o general_a outward_a comfort_n he_o come_v and_o satisfy_v god_n infinite_a justice_n that_o he_o may_v open_v the_o current_n the_o sluice_n of_o his_o infinite_a and_o eternal_a grace_n to_o other_o now_o happy_a be_v open_v and_o then_o flow_v in_o all_o grace_n infinite_a eternal_a grace_n when_o that_o come_v once_o to_o be_v open_v no_o marvel_n though_o we_o hear_v of_o such_o glorious_a thing_n that_o the_o saint_n of_o god_n have_v in_o the_o life_n to_o come_v no_o marvel_n for_o christ_n do_v come_v and_o open_v the_o great_a sluice_n of_o god_n infinite_a grace_n and_o mercy_n to_o they_o as_o for_o the_o man_n of_o the_o world_n they_o have_v but_o a_o little_a of_o the_o drizzle_v of_o god_n general_a bounty_n through_o some_o cranny_n but_o the_o floodgate_n of_o god_n grace_n be_v open_v in_o christ_n therefore_o till_o divine_a justice_n be_v satisfy_v there_o can_v be_v no_o further_o good_a for_o a_o creature_n here_o but_o the_o fruit_n of_o god_n general_a bounty_n &_o patience_n there_o be_v some_o creature_n who_o the_o lord_n have_v leave_v to_o the_o course_n of_o justice_n they_o shall_v have_v what_o they_o earn_v and_o no_o more_o this_o be_v the_o difference_n between_o god_n deal_n with_o some_o creature_n and_o other_o i_o say_v some_o there_o be_v that_o shall_v have_v what_o they_o earn_v and_o no_o more_o other_o there_o be_v who_o god_n have_v set_v his_o heart_n upon_o and_o whether_o they_o earn_v or_o no_o god_n intend_v eternal_a mercy_n unto_o they_o and_o will_v bring_v they_o unto_o eternal_a mercy_n here_o be_v the_o difference_n of_o the_o covenant_n of_o work_n and_o the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n and_o therefore_o the_o one_o be_v leave_v to_o himself_o and_o the_o other_o christ_n the_o head_n of_o the_o covenant_n come_v to_o undertake_v for_o he_o that_o that_o he_o can_v do_v and_o here_o be_v the_o very_a cut_v between_o the_o condition_n of_o some_o man_n &_o other_o man_n that_o some_o have_v their_o portion_n in_o this_o world_n and_o other_o have_v another_o high_a portion_n in_o the_o world_n to_o come_v those_o have_v no_o interest_n in_o christ_n these_o have_v seven_o they_o be_v no_o son_n no_o child_n and_o therefore_o they_o must_v not_o expect_v child_n portion_n as_o many_o of_o you_o rich_a man_n when_o you_o die_v you_o will_v leave_v your_o servant_n some_o legacy_n perhaps_o you_o will_v give_v every_o servant_n in_o the_o house_n five_o pound_n or_o so_o but_o when_o you_o come_v to_o your_o child_n to_o write_v in_o your_o will_n what_o such_o a_o son_n such_o a_o daughter_n shall_v have_v that_o be_v another_o manner_n of_o business_n than_o 4._o or_o 5_o l._n great_a thing_n you_o leave_v to_o they_o now_o the_o truth_n be_v the_o world_n may_v be_v divide_v between_o child_n that_o they_o have_v be_v but_o as_o scrap_n from_o the_o servant_n they_o have_v to_o deal_v only_o with_o creature_n they_o look_v no_o further_o but_o hereafter_o thing_n shall_v be_v settle_v another_o way_n and_o all_o thing_n shall_v be_v weigh_v by_o god_n himself_o in_o a_o balance_n of_o justice_n and_o distribute_v by_o the_o hand_n of_o god_n himself_o immediate_o and_o now_o thing_n will_v be_v carry_v after_o another_o manner_n the_o lord_n himself_o will_v come_v to_o dispose_v of_o thing_n it_o be_v a_o speech_n of_o a_o german_a divine_a though_o he_o be_v a_o good_a man_n and_o live_v very_o innocent_o when_o he_o lie_v upon_o his_o sick_a bed_n and_o apprehend_v death_n he_o be_v in_o great_a terror_n of_o spirit_n mighty_o trouble_v and_o some_o of_o his_o friend_n come_v to_o he_o and_o ask_v he_o why_o shall_v you_o be_v so_o trouble_v that_o have_v live_v so_o good_a a_o life_n as_o you_o have_v do_v this_o be_v his_o answer_n the_o judgement_n of_o god_n be_v one_o and_o the_o judgement_n of_o man_n be_v another_o i_o be_o now_o to_o deal_v with_o god_n it_o be_v true_a i_o live_v thus_o before_o man_n and_o man_n give_v their_o verdict_n of_o i_o as_o good_a and_o think_v i_o be_v in_o a_o good_a condition_n but_o o_o i_o be_o now_o to_o go_v to_o god_n and_o to_o deal_v immediate_o with_o he_o and_o god_n judgement_n and_o man_n judgement_n be_v different_a thing_n when_o god_n shall_v come_v to_o weigh_v all_o man_n portion_n out_o as_o it_o will_v be_v then_o so_o much_o righteousness_n so_o much_o portion_n so_o much_o happiness_n you_o will_v say_v then_o lord_n what_o shall_v become_v of_o we_o all_o all_o our_o righteousness_n be_v as_o the_o menstruous_a cloth_n i_o but_o for_o the_o saint_n the_o
