law_n sure_o i_o have_v much_o muse_v thereof_o in_o my_o mind_n yea_o i_o have_v many_o time_n examine_v i_o own_o conscience_n and_o way_n whether_o there_o rest_v or_o appear_v any_o thing_n in_o i_o whereof_o the_o king_n may_v take_v any_o offence_n for_o i_o have_v very_o think_v that_o either_o the_o whole_a cause_n or_o at_o the_o least_o some_o part_n of_o the_o cause_n of_o the_o king_n god_n forbid_v that_o any_o of_o we_o by_o reason_n of_o our_o suspensive_a opinion_n and_o doubtful_a conceit_n shall_v tender_v occasion_n to_o any_o of_o they_o that_o come_v after_o we_o to_o be_v doubtful_a of_o the_o king_n who_o we_o well_o know_v the_o lord_n have_v elect_v and_o will_v preserve_v and_o who_o we_o esteem_v notwithstanding_o his_o sin_n a_o saint_n of_o the_o lord_n and_o in_o truth_n as_o those_o person_n which_o have_v bruise_v frankincense_n and_o be_v ensence_v therewith_o do_v smell_n of_o the_o same_o neither_o will_v they_o by_o and_o by_o lose_v the_o savour_n and_o send_v thereof_o though_o they_o be_v purge_v so_o the_o king_n have_v be_v endue_v with_o the_o divine_a spirit_n and_o long_o exercise_v in_o the_o use_n of_o the_o right_n princely_a and_o sacred_a virtue_n do_v yet_o and_o shall_v enjoy_v the_o sweet_a savour_n and_o acceptable_a memory_n of_o the_o same_o neither_o may_v so_o short_a a_o time_n as_o this_o life_n be_v blot_n it_o out_o whereby_o be_v enbolden_v he_o may_v therein_o contemn_v they_o that_o shall_v either_o disdain_v he_o or_o unjust_o judge_v of_o either_o he_o his_o word_n or_o action_n but_o now_o because_o the_o king_n remission_n and_o pardon_v ever_o solomon_n sin_n be_v pardon_v and_o he_o remain_v a_o saint_n of_o the_o lord_n for_o ever_o after_o his_o trespass_n be_v call_v into_o question_n it_o may_v not_o displease_v your_o reverence_n that_o we_o inquire_v whether_o his_o sin_n be_v remit_v that_o be_v whether_o the_o lord_n have_v forgive_v and_o pardon_v his_o trespass_n forget_v his_o iniquity_n absolve_v he_o of_o his_o guiltiness_n and_o loose_v he_o from_o the_o band_n of_o eternal_a death_n yea_o or_o no._n for_o they_o will_v reply_v and_o thus_o object_n it_o may_v be_v that_o he_o be_v a_o saint_n and_o servant_n of_o jehovah_n his_o god_n so_o long_o as_o he_o keep_v his_o mind_n chaste_a his_o body_n clean_o his_o action_n without_o reproof_n and_o the_o truth_n of_o his_o doctrine_n pure_a and_o unspotted_a or_o so_o long_o as_o he_o well_o please_v god_n who_o justifi_v the_o believe_a sinner_n or_o so_o long_a as_o he_o be_v ordain_v to_o stand_v the_o figure_n of_o the_o holy_a messiah_n wherein_o he_o sheen_v in_o perfect_a beauty_n but_o afterward_o in_o his_o transgression_n and_o sin_n he_o turn_v his_o beauty_n into_o ugly_a deformity_n nor_o indeed_o according_a to_o your_o former_a word_n can_v he_o possible_o be_v and_o remain_v the_o figure_n of_o the_o holy_a messiah_n long_a then_o while_o his_o beauty_n remain_v perfect_a in_o he_o therefore_o except_o he_o be_v forgive_v and_o by_o this_o his_o remission_n cleanse_v and_o restore_v to_o his_o former_a excellency_n or_o at_o the_o lea_v admit_v into_o the_o favour_n of_o god_n and_o justify_v the_o former_a doubt_n will_v be_v still_o retain_v and_o urge_v against_o both_o he_o and_o his_o word_n therefore_o let_v it_o please_v you_o to_o resolve_v this_o doubt_n and_o satisfy_v we_o therein_o as_o we_o know_v you_o be_v well_o able_a most_o reverend_a father_n to_o this_o answer_v zadok_v i_o be_o most_o willing_a both_o to_o resolve_v this_o doubt_n and_o to_o satisfy_v you_o my_o lord_n all_o in_o this_o case_n therefore_o to_o prove_v that_o the_o king_n have_v obtain_v mercy_n and_o pardon_n of_o the_o lord_n god_n for_o all_o those_o his_o transgression_n and_o so_o consequent_o stand_v and_o remain_v a_o saint_n and_o person_n dedicate_v to_o the_o lord_n notwithstanding_o all_o those_o his_o transgression_n i_o thus_o reason_n for_o my_o lord_n the_o king_n *_o whosoever_o have_v true_o repent_v he_o of_o his_o sin_n sin_n solomon_n obtain_v mercy_n for_o he_o repent_v he_o of_o his_o sin_n he_o have_v obtain_v mercy_n and_o may_v not_o be_v hinder_v but_o further_v and_o bolpen_v in_o his_o walk_n towards_o the_o high_a glory_n yea_o in_o this_o he_o resemble_v a_o true_a father_n that_o both_o pity_v and_o pardon_v his_o own_o son_n which_o have_v offend_v he_o upon_o his_o true_a repentance_n as_o both_o moses_n job_n and_o david_n of_o famous_a memory_n have_v tell_v we_o with_o other_o our_o holy_a prophet_n who_o teach_v and_o assure_v we_o from_o the_o lord_n own_o mouth_n that_o if_o a_o ungodly_a man_n will_v turn_v away_o from_o all_o his_o sin_n that_o he_o have_v do_v and_o keep_v all_o his_o statute_n and_o do_v the_o thing_n that_o be_v judgement_n and_o right_n he_o shall_v doubtless_o live_v and_o not_o die_v neither_o shall_v his_o sin_n be_v either_o retain_v or_o mention_v unto_o he_o for_o god_n have_v no_o pleasure_n in_o the_o death_n of_o a_o sinner_n but_o glad_o will_v be_v merciful_a unto_o he_o and_o pardon_v he_o upon_o his_o repentance_n for_o god_n be_v most_o ready_a to_o forgive_v therefore_o he_o comfort_v we_o with_o this_o say_n circumcise_v the_o foreskinne_n of_o your_o heart_n deut._n deut._n cast_v away_o your_o transgression_n and_o turn_v again_o remember_v in_o the_o book_n of_o the_o psalm_n 103.3_o psal_n 103.3_o whereof_o he_o also_o provoke_v his_o soul_n to_o the_o praise_n of_o god_n who_o have_v forgive_v he_o all_o his_o iniquity_n may_v decide_v it_o but_o if_o a_o man_n sin_n against_o god_n who_o shall_v be_v his_o umpire_n or_o dayman_n moreover_o know_v that_o pardon_n require_v precedent_a repentance_n without_o the_o which_o who_o will_v forgive_v he_o that_o offend_v he_o among_o man_n they_o neither_o presume_v to_o approach_v the_o divine_a throne_n with_o proud_a insolent_a and_o presumptuous_a spirit_n but_o with_o contrite_a and_o humble_a heart_n desire_v mercy_n for_o sin_n commit_v and_o confess_v with_o great_a submission_n for_o albeit_o that_o repentance_n be_v very_o sharp_a and_o bitter_a to_o the_o sinner_n and_o many_o man_n have_v lean_a sin_n open_o then_o repent_v secret_o yet_o be_v this_o the_o medicine_n of_o trespass_n the_o consumption_n of_o iniquity_n a_o weapon_n against_o the_o deadly_a adversary_n this_o be_v the_o hope_n of_o health_n the_o purchase_n of_o mercy_n and_o way_n to_o felicity_n i_o can_v yet_o cease_v but_o speak_v again_o of_o this_o sovereign_a treasure_n and_o medicine_n of_o the_o sinner_n sore_o be_v therein_o as_o full_a as_o the_o moon_n and_o most_o willing_a to_o be_v pour_v forth_o in_o the_o excellency_n thereof_o so_o full_a of_o consolation_n and_o rich_a blessing_n this_o be_v that_o which_o through_o the_o mercy_n of_o the_o live_a god_n in_o the_o promise_a seed_n remit_v sin_n open_v the_o gate_n of_o paradise_n salu_v the_o man_n that_o be_v break_v in_o heart_n and_o glade_v they_o that_o be_v sorrowful_a this_o be_v that_o which_o call_v a_o man_n life_n from_o destruction_n restore_v his_o estate_n renew_v his_o decay_a honour_n give_v he_o boldness_n reform_v his_o spirit_n and_o pour_v in_o grace_n upon_o grace_n this_o be_v that_o which_o lose_v thing_n bind_v clarifi_v thing_n obscure_a and_o animate_v thing_n desperate_a the_o beauty_n of_o this_o virtue_n be_v as_o clear_v as_o the_o sun_n as_o bright_a as_o the_o moon_n as_o glister_v as_o the_o star_n the_o sweetness_n thereof_o be_v as_o honey_n the_o price_n as_o gold_n and_o the_o estimation_n beyond_o all_o precious_a stone_n for_o this_o be_v that_o which_o neither_o sin_n overcommeth_a nor_o defection_n destroy_v nor_o despair_n blot_v out_o final_o this_o abandon_v all_o vice_n embrace_v all_o virtue_n torment_v sin_n extoll_v righteousness_n obtain_v mercy_n produce_v virtue_n free_v sinner_n recover_v the_o lose_v recreat_v the_o desperate_a salvation_n he_o that_o can_v true_o repent_v need_v not_o to_o doubt_v of_o salvation_n refresh_v the_o hard_a labourer_n and_o bring_v to_o her_o possessor_n eternal_a shall_v a_o man_n true_o repent_v indeed_o this_o thing_n be_v not_o wrought_v in_o man_n of_o man_n own_o power_n nor_o wisdom_n for_o god_n stay_v not_o to_o expect_v it_o from_o man_n wisdom_n or_o to_o the_o which_o answer_v zadok_v neither_o be_v this_o question_n so_o hard_o to_o be_v answer_v unto_o nor_o the_o doubt_n intricate_a to_o be_v dissolve_v for_o if_o there_o be_v none_o other_o not_o fall_v away_o for_o ever_o so_o we_o may_v not_o think_v that_o the_o saint_n of_o god_n for_o who_o mercy_n be_v ever_o keep_v in_o store_n can_v fall_v utter_o away_o from_o hope_n or_o be_v shut_v out_o from_o mercy_n in_o the_o time_n of_o their_o need_n for_o as_o the_o wood_n who_o nature_n be_v to_o swim_v on_o the_o water_n may_v yet_o be_v over-laden_a with_o iron_n sink_v but_o the_o iron_n be_v take_v off_o the_o wood_n nevertheless_o ascend_v again_o to_o the_o head_n of_o the_o water_n and_o swim_v neither_o may_v we_o say_v that_o it_o be_v no_o wood_n because_o it_o do_v sink_v once_o to_o the_o bottom_n again_o though_o the_o faithful_a fall_n yet_o they_o rise_v up_o again_o so_o though_o the_o righteous_a man_n who_o nature_n be_v by_o faith_n to_o stand_v and_o walk_v in_o god_n way_n be_v oppress_v with_o the_o burden_n of_o sin_n through_o the_o devil_n malice_n do_v unhappy_o couch_v down_o as_o with_o isachar_n between_o two_o burden_n yet_o may_v
