take_v heed_n that_o they_o foist_v not_o the_o name_n of_o christ_n that_o they_o foist_v not_o a_o ticket_n to_o say_v that_o christ_n send_v they_o when_o it_o be_v their_o own_o self-love_n and_o their_o own_o lust_n that_o send_v they_o it_o be_v not_o enough_o to_o pray_v and_o at_o the_o end_n to_o say_v through_o christ_n our_o lord_n amen_n no_o for_o this_o may_v be_v a_o mere_a foist_v of_o the_o name_n of_o christ_n but_o can_v thou_o pray_v and_o show_v that_o christ_n send_v thou_o and_o say_v as_o the_o servant_n i_o come_v from_o my_o master_n and_o he_o send_v i_o lord_n it_o or_o else_o in_o particular_a fornication_n uncleanness_n evil_a affection_n etc._n etc._n or_o as_o in_o the_o ten_o verse_n all_o the_o fruit_n of_o the_o old_a man_n the_o word_n contain_v in_o they_o these_o three_o part_n part_n part_n or_o truth_n first_o he_o that_o ever_o mean_v to_o have_v christ_n must_v have_v he_o with_o a_o therefore_o as_o if_o he_o shall_v say_v if_o you_o look_v to_o have_v benefit_n by_o the_o death_n of_o christ_n look_v to_o have_v a_o therefore_o with_o it_o for_o no_o man_n can_v have_v christ_n without_o a_o condition_n second_o this_o condition_n consist_v in_o mortification_n we_o must_v mortify_v our_o earthly_a member_n this_o be_v the_o qualification_n of_o all_o those_o that_o partake_v of_o the_o death_n of_o christ_n even_o mortification_n three_o those_o that_o be_v make_v partaker_n of_o the_o death_n of_o christ_n be_v enable_v thereto_o so_o as_o the_o apostle_n may_v well_o put_v this_o exhortation_n unto_o they_o mortify_v therefore_o your_o member_n etc._n etc._n he_o do_v not_o say_v civilize_v your_o member_n many_o there_o be_v that_o civilize_v their_o earthly_a member_n as_o from_o mortify_v to_o purify_n of_o they_o they_o come_v out_o of_o profaneness_n and_o enter_v into_o civility_n and_o a_o formal_a kind_n of_o profession_n but_o the_o apostle_n say_v mortify_v and_o not_o civilize_v your_o member_n do_v not_o pare_v the_o nail_n of_o your_o corruption_n but_o cut_v they_o quite_o off_o and_o give_v they_o their_o death_n wound_n that_o so_o your_o sin_n may_v breathe_v out_o their_o last_o breath_n in_o you_o sin_n may_v be_v civilise_a five_o way_n first_o when_o it_o be_v lay_v asleep_a pharaoh_n sin_n be_v asleep_a but_o not_o dead_a many_o man_n sin_n be_v asleep_a in_o they_o though_o they_o seem_v to_o be_v dead_a in_o they_o for_o a_o time_n a_o man_n while_o he_o be_v asleep_o be_v like_o a_o dead_a man_n yet_o he_o be_v alive_a yea_o and_o his_o sin_n be_v alive_a in_o he_o also_o but_o when_o temptation_n come_v to_o awaken_v he_o out_o of_o his_o sleep_n though_o before_o he_o seem_v to_o be_v patient_a and_o meek_a and_o hardly_o to_o be_v provoke_v yet_o let_v a_o temptation_n come_v and_o rouse_v he_o than_o he_o will_v find_v his_o old_a wrath_n anger_n and_o impatiency_n so_o likewise_o for_o a_o covetous_a man_n though_o he_o seem_v to_o mortify_v that_o sin_n yet_o it_o be_v but_o asleep_a in_o he_o for_o let_v a_o temptation_n come_v and_o he_o will_v quick_o find_v out_o his_o
