gospel_n the_o text_n say_v they_o be_v not_o worthy_a what_o be_v that_o they_o have_v no_o hunger_n after_o the_o feast_n they_o prize_v it_o not_o and_o therefore_o they_o be_v unwilling_a to_o come_v if_o you_o will_v therefore_o have_v the_o mercy_n of_o god_n be_v worthy_a of_o they_o labour_v to_o be_v in_o a_o disposition_n fit_a to_o receive_v they_o now_o as_o we_o say_v before_o by_o worthiness_n we_o do_v not_o i_o a_o any_o measure_n of_o grace_n whatsoever_o or_o any_o preparation_n as_o if_o they_o come_v under_o any_o merit_n or_o desert_n it_o seem_v good_a to_o the_o god_n riches_n yet_o i_o say_v this_o be_v not_o all_o but_o if_o you_o will_v have_v these_o mercy_n continue_v you_o must_v walk_v worthy_a of_o they_o those_o gracious_a qualification_n be_v order_v in_o tendency_n to_o your_o introduction_n and_o admittance_n into_o the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n and_o the_o mercy_n here_o speak_v of_o but_o after_o you_o be_v bring_v into_o covenant_n with_o god_n you_o can_v secure_v the_o comfortable_a content_n of_o it_o unless_o you_o labour_v to_o walk_v worthy_a of_o they_o please_v the_o lord_n in_o all_o thing_n as_o st_n paul_n say_v and_o as_o it_o be_v in_o psal._n 18._o 25._o with_o the_o upright_a man_n thou_o will_v show_v thyself_o upright_o and_o with_o the_o froward_a thou_o will_v show_v thyself_o froward_a that_o be_v you_o shall_v find_v as_o much_o mercy_n in_o i_o as_o i_o find_v enemy_n of_o behaviour_n in_o you_o but_o if_o you_o walk_v stubborn_o and_o frowardlie_a with_o i_o i_o will_v walk_v stubborn_o with_o you_o in_o the_o feast_n his_o riches_n and_o potency_n be_v manifest_a therefore_o it_o make_v he_o glorious_a so_o do_v the_o lord_n if_o all_o his_o perfection_n be_v shut_v up_o in_o himself_o they_o be_v excellent_a but_o not_o proper_o glorious_a for_o glory_n be_v when_o any_o excellency_n be_v make_v manifest_a to_o the_o view_n of_o other_o therefore_o god_n iâ—_n say_v to_o be_v glorious_a when_o he_o manifest_v his_o mercy_n if_o therefore_o this_o be_v his_o glory_n then_o doubt_v not_o but_o that_o he_o will_v be_v ready_a to_o show_v mercy_n to_o man_n that_o be_v not_o only_o to_o the_o reason_n we_o be_v so_o little_a in_o praise_v the_o lord_n because_o ourselves_o be_v not_o touch_v with_o a_o sense_n of_o his_o mercy_n we_o be_v not_o persuade_v he_o be_v so_o exceed_v merciful_a as_o he_o be_v we_o think_v better_o of_o man_n than_o we_o do_v of_o he_o therefore_o if_o any_o thing_n grieve_v we_o we_o be_v ready_a to_o complain_v unto_o man_n then_o unto_o god_n riches_n of_o mercy_n that_o be_v in_o god_n because_o you_o may_v object_v be_v god_n so_o merciful_a what_o be_v the_o reason_n then_o that_o he_o do_v so_o sharp_o afflict_v even_o his_o dear_a child_n why_o do_v he_o afflict_v evil_a man_n with_o such_o a_o great_a affliction_n as_o hell_n iâ—_n self_n why_o be_v so_o many_o damn_a and_o why_o do_v so_o many_o perish_v while_o it_o be_v in_o his_o power_n to_o save_v they_o last_o be_v he_o not_o a_o hard_a master_n to_o condemn_v many_o that_o can_v not_o be_v save_v as_o the_o gentile_n that_o come_v not_o to_o the_o knowledge_n of_o the_o gospel_n before_o christ_n time_n and_o since_o also_o do_v not_o god_n exact_v that_o at_o their_o hand_n which_o they_o can_v not_o perform_v and_o do_v he_o not_o look_v to_o reap_v there_o where_o he_o do_v not_o sow_v how_o can_v we_o therefore_o be_v persuade_v of_o his_o exceed_a mercifulness_n 1._o i_o will_v answer_v all_o these_o breiflly_n for_o the_o first_o i_o answer_v that_o though_o god_n indeed_o be_v exceed_v rich_a in_o mercy_n yet_o that_o do_v not_o contradict_v his_o other_o attribute_n though_o he_o be_v rich_a in_o mercy_n yet_o it_o contradict_v not_o let_v we_o therefore_o look_v upon_o ourselves_o as_o have_v a_o part_n in_o christ_n and_o know_v whatsoever_o he_o do_v it_o be_v for_o we_o even_o for_o every_o true_a believer_n so_o that_o he_o rise_v again_o we_o rise_v again_o which_o be_v so_o it_o manifest_v that_o god_n have_v accept_v christ_n his_o payment_n if_o any_o thing_n can_v hinder_v it_o must_v be_v death_n and_o the_o grave_n but_o christ_n be_v rise_v they_o have_v lose_v their_o power_n and_o so_o none_o able_a to_o condemn_v rom._n 6._o 9_o christ_n rise_v for_o we_o never_o to_o die_v again_o and_o therefore_o that_o we_o shall_v never_o die_v eternal_o a_o three_o reason_n be_v take_v from_o the_o sit_v of_o christ_n at_o reason_n the_o right_a hand_n of_o god_n which_o put_v all_o out_o of_o question_n you_o shall_v fix_v your_o eye_n only_o upon_o god_n you_o think_v your_o credit_n will_v do_v you_o more_o good_a than_o if_o you_o serve_v the_o lord_n you_o think_v your_o lust_n will_v give_v you_o more_o content_a than_o if_o you_o apply_v yourself_o whole_o to_o god_n service_n therefore_o if_o you_o will_v amend_v this_o fault_n draw_v your_o it_o heart_n from_o the_o creature_n to_o it_o be_v with_o jerusalem_n and_o thus_o you_o shall_v find_v it_o to_o be_v with_o the_o church_n that_o seem_v now_o to_o be_v overpre_v and_o overthrow_v and_o swallow_v up_o with_o the_o enemy_n it_o shall_v be_v as_o a_o cup_n of_o poison_n to_o destroy_v the_o enemy_n as_o a_o mighty_a stone_n to_o crush_v they_o in_o piece_n as_o a_o fire_n in_o the_o midst_n of_o a_o bundle_n of_o wood_n to_o devour_v they_o this_o you_o may_v the_o rather_o take_v notice_n of_o because_o our_o adversary_n it_o use_v it_o as_o a_o argument_n and_o bellarmine_n among_o the_o rest_n use_v it_o as_o a_o you_o know_v plough_v the_o field_n that_o belong_v to_o themselves_o &_o let_v other_o alone_o man_n take_v their_o own_o child_n and_o correct_v they_o oftentimes_o the_o child_n of_o stranger_n they_o meddle_v not_o with_o and_o if_o this_o be_v true_a of_o particular_a christian_n that_o if_o they_o be_v son_n they_o must_v be_v chasten_v must_v it_o not_o be_v true_a also_o of_o the_o whole_a church_n which_o be_v nothing_o but_o a_o company_n of_o those_o that_o be_v his_o child_n let_v not_o this_o therefore_o trouble_v you_o god_n will_v be_v merciful_a to_o they_o in_o the_o end_n for_o he_o be_v of_o a_o merciful_a nature_n he_o can_v as_o we_o say_v before_o otherways_o choose_v this_o a_o man_n in_o particular_a may_v apply_v to_o himself_o man_n affliction_n when_o strength_n which_o be_v receive_v from_o the_o evil_a spirit_n which_o be_v when_o satan_n shall_v join_v with_o the_o spirit_n of_o a_o man_n and_o add_v a_o supernatural_a strength_n and_o so_o make_v he_o to_o do_v more_o or_o suffer_v more_o than_o otherwise_o by_o nature_n he_o be_v able_a to_o do_v with_o this_o spirit_n be_v all_o the_o enemy_n of_o the_o church_n strengthen_v paul_n
