against_o their_o leader_n and_o so_o provoke_v the_o anger_n of_o god_n against_o themselves_o how_o often_o be_v the_o clemency_n of_o god_n by_o their_o perfidious_a rebellion_n wicked_a contrivance_n untractable_a stubbornness_n murmur_a concupiscence_n and_o perverseness_n not_o only_o provoke_v but_o also_o almost_o overcome_v so_o that_o he_o will_v have_v utter_o destroy_v the_o rebellious_a people_n with_o all_o their_o posterity_n unless_o moses_n the_o meek_a of_o man_n by_o humble_a prayer_n with_o hand_n lift_v up_o have_v turn_v the_o provoke_v anger_n of_o god_n into_o mercy_n but_o it_o be_v better_a to_o take_v notice_n what_o the_o 9_o lord_n himself_o speak_v against_o this_o people_n with_o his_o own_o mouth_n say_v not_o say_v he_o in_o thy_o heart_n when_o justify_v by_o faith_n but_o none_o be_v find_v more_o fit_a than_o those_o that_o seem_v to_o themselves_o most_o unworthy_a and_o none_o less_o fit_a than_o those_o that_o be_v most_o high_o conceit_v of_o their_o own_o worthiness_n see_v we_o be_v all_o sinner_n by_o nature_n nothing_o can_v be_v more_o reasonable_a than_o that_o we_o shall_v acknowledge_v the_o filthiness_n of_o our_o own_o abomination_n and_o cast_v ourselves_o down_o at_o the_o foot_n of_o almighty_a god_n and_o there_o be_v nothing_o that_o god_n more_o require_v than_o this_o who_o nature_n or_o rather_o join_v with_o repentance_n in_o he_o that_o be_v justify_v from_o his_o sin_n and_o yet_o repentance_n be_v no_o cause_n of_o justification_n as_o those_o that_o be_v affict_v with_o a_o painful_a disease_n their_o pain_n make_v they_o desirous_a of_o a_o cure_n but_o yet_o there_o be_v no_o heal_a virtue_n in_o this_o desire_n so_o faith_n and_o conversion_n be_v joint_o unite_v in_o the_o person_n that_o be_v justify_v but_o as_o touch_v the_o cause_n of_o justify_v repentance_n indeed_o prepare_v a_o soul_n for_o the_o reception_n of_o justification_n but_o the_o cause_n of_o justify_v lie_v altogether_o in_o faith_n and_o not_o at_o all_o in_o repentance_n for_o the_o just_a judge_n do_v not_o absolve_v he_o who_o have_v violate_v his_o justice_n because_o he_o be_v grieve_v upon_o that_o account_n but_o because_o he_o believe_v in_o christ_n who_o have_v satisfy_v justice_n and_o for_o who_o sake_n pardon_n be_v promise_v to_o such_o as_o repent_v for_o in_o he_o be_v all_o the_o spring_n of_o our_o justification_n but_o lest_o this_o discourse_n shall_v grow_v too_o ample_a for_o if_o every_o thing_n be_v treat_v of_o particular_o it_o may_v be_v enlarge_v beyond_o all_o bound_n let_v we_o come_v close_o to_o the_o adversary_n and_o fight_v hand_n to_o hand_n that_o in_o a_o summary_n representation_n it_o may_v the_o more_o easy_o appear_v to_o the_o reader_n with_o what_o argument_n they_o defend_v themselves_o what_o argument_n they_o defend_v themselves_o what_o scripture_n they_o quote_v what_o force_n and_o what_o fallacy_n be_v
