upon_o usury_n to_o a_o poor_a man_n to_o supply_v his_o need_n may_v not_o unsit_o be_v compare_v to_o a_o piece_n of_o new_a cloth_n sow_v upon_o a_o old_a garment_n for_o that_o although_o it_o cover_v the_o rent_n for_o a_o time_n and_o seem_v to_o have_v mend_v the_o garment_n yet_o after_o a_o while_n the_o new_a cloth_n fret_v the_o old_a and_o bring_v away_o part_n of_o it_o and_o so_o make_v the_o rent_n much_o worse_o this_o therefore_o be_v but_o a_o cruel_a relieve_n of_o the_o poor_a and_o needy_a for_o the_o like_a may_v be_v say_v of_o a_o victualler_n who_o sell_v a_o penny_n loaf_n for_o six_o penny_n to_o a_o man_n ready_a to_o die_v for_o hunger_n do_v relieve_v he_o in_o his_o want_n and_o preserve_v he_o from_o death_n but_o yet_o he_o and_o the_o usurer_n mercy_n be_v cruel_a 10._o as_o solomon_n say_v of_o all_o the_o wicked_a three_o if_o the_o lord_n straight_o command_v free_a loan_n towards_o they_o that_o be_v in_o need_n then_o questionless_a impudent_a that_o shall_v desire_v to_o borrow_v free_o for_o he_o that_o dare_v free_o do_v for_o the_o most_o part_n make_v this_o estimation_n of_o his_o benefit_n that_o beside_o the_o he_o be_v delight_v and_o through_o the_o pleasantness_n of_o his_o sleep_n die_v so_o he_o which_o borrow_v upon_o usury_n be_v delight_v for_o a_o time_n as_o one_o that_o have_v receive_v a_o good_a turn_n and_o so_o through_o the_o pleasure_n of_o the_o imagine_a benefit_n be_v do_v not_o perceive_v how_o he_o be_v take_v captive_a for_o even_o as_o the_o poison_n of_o the_o asp_n secret_o convey_v itself_o into_o all_o the_o member_n corrupt_v the_o whole_a body_n so_o usury_n disperse_v itself_o through_o all_o the_o borrower_n good_n convert_v they_o into_o debt_n and_o even_o as_o leaven_n which_o be_v put_v into_o meal_n infect_v the_o whole_a lump_n &_o draw_v it_o to_o itself_o turn_v it_o into_o the_o nature_n of_o leaven_n so_o when_o usury_n enter_v into_o any_o man_n house_n it_o draw_v all_o his_o substance_n unto_o it_o and_o turn_v it_o into_o debt_n but_o the_o patroness_n of_o usury_n themselves_o confess_v that_o usury_n impose_v upon_o a_o man_n that_o borrow_v for_o need_n be_v ever_o a_o bite_a and_o damnify_v of_o he_o and_o that_o man_n ought_v by_o the_o commandment_n of_o god_n to_o lend_v to_o such_o free_o and_o therefore_o i_o shall_v not_o need_v to_o prove_v such_o usury_n to_o be_v uncharitable_a if_o therefore_o the_o borrower_n take_v up_o money_n to_o employ_v it_o to_o his_o gain_n it_o may_v be_v that_o have_v use_v all_o his_o skill_n and_o employ_v all_o his_o industry_n in_o the_o occupy_v of_o it_o he_o shall_v not_o be_v able_a to_o gain_v so_o much_o clear_o as_o will_v pay_v the_o usurer_n but_o allow_v more_o than_o all_o his_o gain_n to_o the_o usurer_n and_o get_v nothing_o but_o his_o labour_n for_o his_o pain_n and_o gain_v nothing_o towards_o his_o live_n but_o loss_n at_o length_n become_v a_o bankrupt_a and_o that_o this_o also_o be_v uncharitable_a i_o shall_v not_o need_v to_o prove_v see_v the_o patroness_n of_o usury_n themselves_o allow_v no_o usury_n but_o that_o which_o be_v part_n of_o the_o borrower_n gain_v but_o suppose_v the_o borrower_n do_v gain_v yet_o notwithstanding_o the_o contract_n of_o usury_n be_v nevertheless_o unequal_a and_o uncharitable_a because_o the_o usurer_n covenant_v for_o certain_a gain_n out_o of_o the_o borrower_n uncertain_a traffic_n and_o whether_o he_o gain_v or_o loose_v whether_o he_o sink_v or_o swim_v or_o whatsoever_o become_v of_o the_o principal_a whether_o it_o be_v lose_v by_o fire_n or_o be_v take_v away_o by_o thief_n or_o miscarry_v by_o any_o other_o
be_v to_o employ_v they_o as_o our_o lord_n and_o master_n appoint_v and_o see_v our_o lord_n and_o master_n appoint_v we_o and_o that_o upon_o pain_n of_o damnation_n to_o communicate_v they_o to_o
